Ride music - there's many different tunes amongst the parks.

Does the ride music build up excitement, fear, or tension as you queue?

Or how about general park music in areas?

Saw build up tension very well with its music themeing. Also Duel and Tomb blaster, heck, any dark ride.

I love all of the music in Thorpe Park. Every ride/area tune does exactly what it is supposed to do - build up tension/excitement etc. Great memories lie in every tune for me.... :)

My favourite has to be Samurai :)
If I had to choose between loving you and breathing, I would use my last breath to tell you how much I love you.

It depends. I like music to fit the ride theme. So, if it's say a kids atraction, you don't want scary music in the queue hehehehe!. I really dislike the music for Saw, could have been far better and I also hate the new theme for Detinator.

All in all though, music is great!. I can't pick a fave track, they are all so good!
are you ready for the awsome power of rush....

Saw's isn't the best, I can hack it. And as for Detonator, well is me saying that I miss the 5-4-3-2-1 countdown enough to say how much I want the old music back?

I agree. The music for Lost city really sets the theme. I've just been sent a copy, and wow!

The theme music is good but none of it works well without good theming and landscaping to back it up. It will never build excitement, fear, or tension by itself.
Ride Count 2009:

Inferno - 137 / Vortex x6
Rush - 82 / Slammer x9
Stealth - 117 / Scam x8
Saw - 103 / X x3
Colossus - 43 / Fish x4
Loggers x5 / Tidal Wave x2
Rumba x5 / Det x11
Quantum x1

Ride Audio and / or Announcements gives an amazing atmosphere at all theme parks!
My favourite would have to be Vampire! (Obviously!)
I prefer it at Chessington World of Adventures & Zoo on events such as Halloween Hocus Pocus as you have "scary" music playing around the park but still have the normal ride announcements. (e.g. Tomb Blaster).
Also, Rides and Attractions with big stations (e.g Vampire and Bubbleworks) keep their ride audio! :) It is amazing that you can still have "scary" audio around the park and the same theme in the station!
It is great! And this is another thing that makes me put Chessington World of Adventures & Zoo as my favourite theme park.
Managed to do 26 rides on Vampire in one day on 1st November 2009! - 10am until 8pm.
Welcome to the Vampire... Waiting time is currently 0 mins... Rides and Attractions are available until 8pm....

Conquered his fear of rush on Monday 20th July - and loved it!

Went to ADVENTURE ISLAND on Monday 10th August

Is really disappointed because my birthday trip ti Thorpe Blast is cancelled and there is no chance of it coming back

Thorpe Park looks amazing at night!

All of the music for me is good, and they build up tension and excitement. But my favourite for me would be the tune when Nemesis Inferno's floor goes down as the ride is about to begin. Always makes me smile for some reason.

EDIT: Turns out its my text tone when my phone is on loud (Its been on silent for days !)

I actually physically love Inferno's audio, the station dispatch theme in particular, it definately has a sense of drama to it. Unfortunately it doesn't play automatically anymore so it's pretty much pot luck. Ahh such memories of that audio with the bass cannons as well. Phwaorrrr
