  1. I get what you mean about Silver Star (although I think it's better than Big One!) - my first ride was back row, so I was expecting a fast ride with lots of airtime, and anticipated the first drop... but I was a bit let down. However riding it front row the next time made a big difference for me, being blasted by the wind rushing in my face, and actually getting some decent airtime (albeit towards the end) :P And yeah, it does feel a bit odd with the lack of theming compared to other rides.

As for Cassandra - I had no idea what on earth was going on  I think my thoughts were along the lines of "I have no idea who Cassandra is, but I'm guessing she's pretty angry!"

I really should get round to my trip report from May...I never did one for my first time at DLP as I didn't know where to start and was overwhelmed by it, but I'm determined to actually write a Europa one. I did make a start on it too, so I'm getting there!

There is something about seat number 3 on Skyforce. It is the only seat I can get a significant number of spins on (usually around the 40 mark). Whenever I have sat in any other seats I have not managed more than 5 spins

Yeah I agree! I noticed when I was watching that it was spinning more than the others - in fact in my off-ride video, you can see that the rider is just holding onto the restraint and not the wings, and you hear me say "They're not even holding the wings!" :P  Hence why I chose that seat, as it seemed to spin more

  3. Oh Maxy ;) Love it, and totally agree. MBV was so stupidly dark, I couldn't see the tunnel entrance, and then I couldn't see when I came out of it either and felt so disorientated I nearly fell over! I touched an actor thinking it was one of the group (could have got kicked out!) and tripped/stumbled through to the next scene, where eventually I was able to see again. My Bloody Valentine? More like My Bloody God I Can't See A Thing ;)

I liked how Cabin In The Woods worked, but I honestly had no idea what was going on, maybe as I hadn't seen the film? The bedroom scene on my first run was good and scary as I felt trapped, and I liked how some of the actors kept following us (something they do at Tulleys, very effective). But nothing from the maze stands out clearly in my memory, nothing "Wow'd" me unfortunately. I don't get all the hype!

Or maybe I just have better standards ;)

PS Actually I did enjoy the Asylum, was a laugh as usual, gutted I didn't see the stumpy armed woman though :(
