  1. I read a post on Facebook only earlier today which was someone asking what rides have SQR. Thorpe answered, Samurai, Vortex, Rush, Detonator and Quantum. However this has since been removed suggesting it's not officially ready for the rest.
  2. I'm sure we have all been saying this for the last three or four years. Yet every year it makes it back into the lineup.

    Logger's Leap

Anyone know what's up with Loggers? Been down since Friday according to the queue-times site. Unusual for it to be down nearly a week.
  4. I agree to an extent Which is why I added at least not anytime soon. However it is unusual for Chessington or any merlin owned attraction to reply to a comment if they haven't found out or aren't completely sure.
  5. Dragon Galls won't be getting it's theming back, at least not any time soon. Chessington confirmed there are no plans to bring it back in a reply on Facebook.
  6. It's actually the original, not new angry birds music. It was played until 2007 until it was replaced with a short version of the Scream Heide Park music. This played until mid 2012 and the original was brought back. However about a month or 2 ago it reverted back to the 2007 theme. Coincidently enough Samurai during loading has done exactly the same and was changed in 2007, reverted back and again changed again a couple of months ago. Anyone know why they changed recently?

I went on Tuesday and it was definitely on 3 and the queue was max 15 minutes.
  8. Strange as I was there Tuesday and the staff were really friendly and seemed to be having fun. Quantum and Dodgems were both playing music and loudly on Tuesday as well. The fire was also working on Swarm, although the mist and fountains were not. Goes to show how inconsistent the park is with multiple factors and each day can be totally different.
  9. Well it's already got a group of my friends talking. They are considering cancelling their trip next Tuesday as they don't see it worth going if the park is closing at 5pm. I'm sure this will be a similar story for many others who were planning to travel from far. So their cut in hours actually leads to an even bigger decrease in attendance.
  10. Slammer was testing most of the day on Tuesday as well. A worker said the engineer told him it was a planned closure, and needed to have a few days to have a full check done and many test runs.
  11. I think I'll stick to paying a few quid more for unlimited pizza and drinks in Inferno Pizza Pasta than £7 for 1 pizza!
  12. Probably in case theres a queue for them, to allow them time to clear the area and clean up before 6pm
  13. I did two days with an 8pm close both days and found that was plenty to do everything once and some better rides around 3 times. We probably covered 3/4 of the park in day one.

  15. A response to questions asking if the theming to Dragon Falls is going to be reinstated on facebook has been answered with the following response: "Hello Jason, Elizabeth, Russell and Lee - there are currently no plans to reinstall the theming for Dragon Falls. We did indeed run a competition and received many fantastic creative ideas. The winner was contacted and a prize was awarded, however the designs will not be implemented as new theming. We're sorry for any disappointment that this may cause but look forward to seeing you all very soon!" So never going to happen. Shame! A real shame.
  16. It does still seem to play through the area speakers near detonator. The ones in the Nemesis Inferno queue extension area all seem to pump out the I'm a celebrity theme. I guess they are zoned incorrectly. Also the 2007 (scream heide park) theme has returned to detonator as has the 2007 samurai loading theme.
  17. I have just returned from the park on a school trip and the ride was testing today as well. The staff just said it will be testing for the foreseeable future.
  18. Currently lot's of complaining about the car park today on CWOA's Facebook page as it seems the park now charge £10 to park in Lodge/Hotel/tarmac car park and have made the grass/Explorer car park the main car park with a £3 charge in effect from today. What do people think of this?

    The Flume

Unusual video I came across of some people stuck in the trough of The Flume. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TiJMQay8MA8
  20. I just played it for the first time and thought I'd done really well. I scored 234,000ish and then looked at the leaderboard and saw in third place was 2,818,200. I clearly stand no chance haha. Since that game I have been scoring lower each time!
  21. I had never personally known The water fountains to ever break or go wrong until last season and ever since it has broken several times. How is it they can keep them working for 20 odd years and suddenly they can't on a regular basis? Crazy!
  22. What I don't get is that people say Samurai is ruined because it was used on decent settings in the past and is not designed to run all day every day. But the Beast has operated since 2001 as far as I know, all day every day and still gives a decent ride! Just two more year than Samurai which also received a refurb in 2003/2004.
  23. Just read this on the TPM facebook page, but see it hasn't been mentioned here... "Storm in a Teacup has had a slight audio change - it's goodbye to WWTP Radio and Big Bob Jones, and he's been replaced by the lovely characters from Tetley themselves!" It says "slight" audio change with new voiceovers and no more WWTP during loading so does it still have the usual SIAT theme that played when the ride starts? Also noticed Samurai loading has gone back to the dull 2007 track that was used for 4 or 5 years.
  24. Images of the position of cars before crash here. (Hopefully link works as never used site before) http://postimg.org/gallery/pfhqn3hq/
  25. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/10318089 Rewind the video back to 16:44 (time of day) and you can clearly see the train stalled on the circuit and the full train sat at the top of the lift (as per the blocking system). Somehow 10 - 15 minutes later the train at the top of the lift started moving again, which obviously shouldn't have happened. I'm sure we will find out at somepoint what caused it to start moving. What I don't like about The smiler is that when it stops on the lifts and needs to be evacuated it is rolled back down slowly rather than evacuated on the lift. Maybe they attempted this but it started moving the wrong way. I'm sure we will find out at somepoint what caused it to start moving.
