Was Coaster in the Dark not open for you?
Still annoyed I got spited by Alpengeist all those years ago. Honestly looks a top 10 coaster for me, especially compared to feeling rather non-plussed about Griffon.
It's a lovely park though.

I don't have any regrets about changing it. At the same time, in hindsight, I reckon I would have been fine if I had stuck with the original plan, albeit more tired. But yeah, for the sake of my own comfort, definitely a good move.
The trouble with long cred runs that involve a tonne of driving is if you don't share it you can get super affected by it. Especially when most of the drives in between American parks are stupidly long. Doing 2 full weeks of it in Germany wasn't fun come the end of it.
I liked Hershey, definitely good to see love for Lightning Racer.

As someone who doesn't do mazes even I enjoyed the event. Probably would've a lot more if it hadn't chucked it down on my visit mind but then again Untamed in the rain was lush.
I also did the Zompirate buffet thing, which was mixed. Good idea but having everyone on long tables makes it awkward when the people opposite are clearly vegetarian and you're stuffing your face with the various meats they bring to the table. Decent actors again mind even if lost on me.
From what I heard the maze quality varied. Though that might be done to standards more than anything. Clinic was too expensive so wasn't done but the praises of Below were sung. The scare zones also varied in quality but the carnival and firepit areas were utter standouts as I prefer that aspect of these events.
Would recommend the q-bots though. Even the silver level one was beneficial on the visit as it allowed to queue whilst waiting for a maze. Not many others using it either making it great in terms of whoring Untamed and time efficiency. The RIP pass for the mazes I think also saved money and meant you could visit at any time rather than a slot. Plus got you the buffet.
Slightly better than Belgium's version but the quality was similar.

Somehow I think Josh is more than qualified to talk about travelling to European parks.
I think Josh is also qualified to understand a tongue in cheek comment on his own without any white knighting.

It's easy to get to from centre of Paris via coach as well; people using going to outskirts as an excuse also need to consider where DLP is in relation to the city

I've seen a few of those spinning drum rides in Germany and Holland, but never on an actual like, centre platform... Looks horrid...

Think I would cry if I got denied all the creds you missed cos of a power cut

When you doing the Disney runs?

That V2 is so fab as well, damn the spite </3
I liked DK, though I dont' remember thinking it was particularly compact... I'm also not a fan of them spiting Roar cos that was really fun, but jeez a fair amount has changed in that corner by V2 and Joker, Superman is the 3rd coaster they've had there since I went almost 10 years ago!

You forgot the two fantastic dark rides in Garda, Ramses and Corsair...
I'd also now add in Movieland Studios, which is generally ridiculous yet charming in a weird way, and it's only down the road from Garda! Worth it especially for Magma, U-Boat Simulator, Kitt Jet, Terminator 2 and the multiple shows (the Rambo one in particular)... Plus a dangerous water park for those who want to complete the day...
There's also a Togo Stand Up in Italy should anyone visit, and I know certainly next time I go the home made place near Vienna is on the agenda...

I'm torn on the Ghost Train, as I think a massive overhaul/update would be more interesting, however China needs a stand out attraction and that's the best location for one...
Removing Hollywood Tour and Nighthawk, combined with the rumoured move of Fantissima theatre would basically give them space for a whole new area... Perhaps Atlantis is to be replaced by a new theatre?
Park is far from perfect though, they've just taken the chance of removing old rides and improving the quality of the park ten fold... The difference between 6 (08-14) years of my first two visits was insane...

It's not exactly controversial when its quite a common opinion that Taron is great without being fantastic (from sensible goons)...

Hydra is FABBBBBBB <3
I look forward to their next new cred, Asterix is really going on the right track with the new shows as well...

Villa Volta isn't in V2 (the current version since March/April last year)...

See now, I actually didn't think that much of Ravelijn... Sure it's got some great elements and stuff to it (the set, character arrivals, the giant steampunk dragon), but it lacks some semblence of actual sensical plotline... It's too complex for its own good, even if it is just ripping off the Narnia books for the most part...
Though there is an English narration option to pick up apparently, which might help actually understand it... But it's got a few flaws (especially having pillars blocking the view) that stop it from being a really fantastic show...
Merch is a sticking point, but same could be said of Disney at times, mostly I think because they target the merch at kids (understandably) because that's where the money is... Baron 1898 soap however is quite clearly the best piece of ride merch ever invented...
Aquanura V1 >>>> V2

Villa Volta (the ride part) is in an ABSOLUTE STATE, like, worse than what Hex was like a while ago with all the creaking and failure to sync up correctly...
Needs a seriously good refurb, because it needs it desperately...
-
Spookslot I guess it depends what you expect from it... As an show, it's very well done, with lots of things to look at throughout, but the lack of idea of what is going on (especially whilst waiting) is a problem...
Not enough love for the racism rides </3

I think a lot of Phantasialand's 'issues' are with the older generation of rides and attractions that are crying out for updates... HOPEFULLY we'll see things like TotNH and Hollywood Tour scrapped and turned into things on the same level as Chiapas and generally the rest of the park...
Fortunately, even these lower quality filler rides are better than many others you see across the world... I cannot honestly think of an attraction to a similar scale and look as Hotel Tartuff at any park...
-
They've not got ride of the Music Battle Show have they? OMG disaster if so...
Walibi lacks a really class ride... Psyke Underground and Loop-Garou are alright if good rides, but nothing else is actually good...
They have a massive issue with locals as well, which is perhaps why the park is unable to get anything of a decent nature in recent years... Tis a real shame as I did like the vibe from when I visited, even if it was busy...

Woodie is going behind the Castle area (Draaaaaak and Fog Lume area)...
The bit in the middle of the park is the Teacups retheme, which includes adding a huge castle with sets and a Food Loop...
As for the theme, the park is owned by Studio 100, a Dutch TV Company, and the rides/areas are themed to their characters... Plop is the Gnome, Wicki the Viking, Maya the Bee, etc. Some of the TV shows can currently be found on the UK Netflix (it's typical child TV)... The English version of House of Anubis though is so fab <3
East Coast USA: Park 3 Six Flags America

It's worrying when a Six Flags park (and especially one often decried as one of the worst) had some of the best operations on this trip.
