Magic Kingdom Trip Report! Summary:This is one of my favourite theme parks. Haunted Mansion is possibly the most complete dark ride out there. It's a bit rough around the edges in places. The Winnie The Pooh characters have some interesting connotations.Character dining is awesome.Which statue relates to which Mania Hub member? Trip Report Excerpt:Please feel free to discuss anything on here that's in the report, ask questions, do what you want. To read the full report, click the link at the top of the page. Cheers Chris. I hope you enjoy reading. I'll get round to reading everyone's trip reports eventually, including yours. I do love reading them!

Strangeness over, we headed back to John and photographed Raptor lots more, as well as riding it 5 more times...To say this ride is photogenic is an understatement, so damn beautiful to look at and watch... After the 5th time (8 times each on both B&Ms, score), we decided that it was time to say farewell to the park and head back to the hotel for one final night... Overall, Gardaland needs more high quality coasters in there, as without Raptor it really lacks a really good ride to take over the role of star attraction... Maybe Merlin have good plans for the park, but out of the 3 we visited, it certainly felt like the weakest ride line up...Still, Raptor is definitely worth it... Just a question now to see if Swarm/X-Flight/Wild Eagle are to be as good...

Went on good ol' Detty today and had an interactive operator who loved his tannoy. He made us do the mexican wave by waving our feet and tapping the person to our right, said he wouldnt let us down til we did it. It went well til right at the end when someone refused to and we were up for about thirty seconds. Looved it and gave praise at guest services. Loove interaction. Good job lad.

I voted Alton.Thorpe are great for the mazes, as they are free, but the storylines aren't really there so it's just about actors making you jump and doing creepy stuff in your face, which gets repetitive.Theming varies, non-existant last year.Smoke and lights can be good too, and the music.Rides at night are good fun B)Only been to one Chessie Halloween event and that was in 2008. I don't remember much but I remember seeing good theming, don't remember what they did with music though apart from the entrance theme changing? Rides at night were awesome - Vampire and Fury OMG ;)Alton, although charging for mazes, has mazes with actual storylines etc. Boiler House in 2009 was pretty crap and wtf though. Terror of the Towers actually scares me a bit, with the dark objects that don't move. Better than actors in some ways, and it's a good length! I've only done Duel Live once and that was in 08, don't remember much But I prefer Duel as it is tbh!Theming is good, and the park looks great at night, loved how they lit the towers up last year! And Nemesis and Oblivion at night are just awesome!

PortAventura Trip reportIn Summer I visited Spain with my family,The main reason we went was to go to PortAventura, It was the first foreign theme park I've ever been to and I really enjoyed it.Sunday - PortAventura ParkWe arrived in Spain on Friday, after a couple days of relaxing we headed to PortAventura. We decided to go to Furius Baco first, as a friend told me it attracted very large queues, we thought it would be walk on, because it was the beginning of the day, unfortunately the queue was an 1 hour and a half, but it was so worth it. The ride is very rough but that didn't detract from my experience, the winged seating position feels amazing as you launch, it makes the launch seem so much more powerful, I was surprised how much my eyes were watering, I really didn't expect that because its never happened to me on any other launched coaster.Next ride we did was Dragon Kahn, it surprised me how massive it was, it has much more visual impact then Colossus just because of its stunning 148ft drop, it makes Colossus look weak, The ride itself was awesome, the ride had a much better design than Colossus, its probably because half the inversions aren't just the same thing over and over again.Next ride of the ride of the day was Hurakun Condor, the intimidating 376ft drop tower cast a shadow across the entire Mexico area, after nervously waiting for about 10 minutes it was time to board, I strapped myself in and prepared myself. As the ride car climbed the tower I was getting more and more nervous then we finally reached the top and then almost instantly they shot us back down to earth, to be honest the ride was rather... weak, I expected the drop to be much more forceful but unfortunately it just felt like the car glided its way down.after Hurakun Condor we got some lunch and headed for Stampida.Stampida was my first ever Wooden Coaster and my first ever duelling coaster and it was great but it gave me a massive headache. After doing all the main rides we did some other things and then headed back to the hotel.Monday - PortAventura Aquatic park (AKA Costa Caribe) (AKA Caribe Aquatic)The next day we went to PortAventura's water park. The slides were fun and so was the Wave pool, El Tifon and El Torronte were the best. But there was one thing about this day that wasn't fun, Sunburn, followed by shingles Wednesday - PortAventura Park (again)We arrived at PortAventura around Midday, we decided not to do Furius Baco first this time, so we headed to the Far West area and went on Wild Buffalo's.After Wild Buffalo's we went on Tomahawk which was a fun little family wooden coaster. After Tomahawk we went to see Bang Bang West, it was entertaining although I didn't really know what was going on as it was in Spanish, the story didn't really matter though because it was a stunt show and people don't watch stunt shows for stories. After Bang Bang we went around and rode some rides.By the time we finished galavanting around the park it was nearly 8.00pm So we had a delicious meal in Raco De Mar, after our meal we headed for Furius Baco, we thought that as it was night time the queue would be shorter, it wasn't, it was longer, although riding Furius Baco in the dark was one of my best rollercoaster experiences ever.Final Verdict:PortAventura is a great park although in my opinion its not as good as Alton Towers, It just doesn't have enough main rides that draw in the tourists, hopefully PortAventura will get some more rides soon, but until then all we have is a Wooden Coaster, an fun B&M, a rough but great Intamin and a weak drop tower.8.5/10

OMG YEH, SO IZ NUMESIS INFORNO COZ ALTON HAD SUM XTRA TRACK, SO FORP WAS LIKE YEH NUVA RIDE.Seriously though, do you honestly think a theme park would invest £12 million in a ride, only to start building it and think, oh damn, didn't realise 205ft was higher than our tree line.... better donate this one to the rollercoaster charity shop.Just, no.

It seems that the attraction makes more sense now story wise, before the fire I think it started off in a police station and the SWAT member talked then showed the video, but then you were suddenly inside Jigsaws warehouse, but now it seems like your already in the warehouse and the SWAT member is an insane victim rather than a normal person, which to me makes more sense than the sudden scene change.

With the money grabbing but fun Warwick Castle behind us, we drove to Alton Towers, the next morning. We had stayed in a Premier Inn at Solihull, so the drive wasn't too far.We arrived around half ten to a fairly quiet car park...We were greeted with a very long queue for the monorail, which didn't really make sense as the car park seemed a bit quiet. It turned out the Monorail had broken down. After a 10-15 minute walk, we arrived at the fantastic entrance.Once inside, Ben started planning I love this tree. The Towers. A magnificent building. Our party split up to ride different things. As I was on my own at this point, I managed two goes in a row on Thirteen via the single rider queue. I was on within 5 minutes This was my first encounter on Thirteen and I loved it. The theming of the station and trains is excellent and the ride itself is really fun. The surprise at the end was brilliant After my Thirteen experience I had a go on Hex. I hate waiting through the pre ride film but I just love the ride itself. 'Stunning' doesn't do it justice.I didn't ride R.I.T.A. as I find it quite overated but I practiced my ride photography on it, instead.Flying Toadstools.I joined up with Debbie, Lydia and Ben at the Go Go Go Show, which was truly awful. Still, Ben liked it and got some autogrpahs afterwards.A BMX event was going on.We all regrouped and had a proper cooked dinner at Woodcutters restaurant. I had a cheeky Peroni with mine and the food was delicious. However, I was a few seconds late asking for my Pass Holder discount and was refused it :cursing: Fortunately, cutomer services sorted it out at the end of the day :thumbup1: After lunch, I took Ben on the Runaway Mine Train. It was faster than I remembered it and we really enjoyed it.We rode Duel and I got the highest score!I like this section of Towers.Battle Galleons.Ben hitches a lift The gardens are magnificent.Cable Cars in the distance.Near Kantanga Canyon, I spotted this pretty water fall.We all rode Log Flume and Kantanga Canyon. We had such a blast on these two rides We split up again for the final part of the day and I rode Oblivion and Nemesis with Kane, Lydia and Georgia. Both were pretty much walk on and it was just bliss, riding Nemesis again. It's one of my favourite coasters in the world.Monorail back to the car.Well, we had a cracking day at Alton Towers. It was our first visit in a few years and it was great to see the changes made since our last visit. We felt really lucky with the short queues. Oblivion was walk on all day and almost all the major rides were 15-20 minute waits. The staff were helpful and friendly and customer services did a great job on refunding our owed savings on our lovely dinner. Towers surpassed themselves on our visit and I'd love to return soon.Hope you enjoy the report. Next part is from Wicksteed Park in Kettering....Chris.
