  2. Not forgetting "The call to adventure"
  3. Oops, sorry not with it today Anyways, I thought it was quite a good idea to have it to look like a plane advert because it links with the plane crash site around the first drop. I wonder if it will say the same on the other side? Either way, it's going to look amazing in the front row when you are heading towards the billboard seeing it gradually get closer
  4. I never got to experience the original Bubbleworks, which is probably why I quite enjoy the new one. After watching a POV of the old on on youtube though I can see that it used to be much better - such a shame they decided to ruin it with a sponsorship. Also, the fountain final should be restored to it's original glory, we should have the strobe lights and mirrors back!
  5. The winning slogan is probably on the other side of the billboard though, they wouldn't tell someone their slogan won and then not use it. (But then, this is Thorpe park we are talking about...)

    Pets

I've got two cats, Chaos and Misty They are brother and sister, Chaos is very loud and vocal and just generally crazy whereas Misty is quiet and shy (but still a little bit mad!) They fight a lot as well!

    Th13teen

Th13teen is a good ride, but would be/was better without the trims. A shame that they are needed to be honest - but I think that the indoor section is the best part of the ride anyway

    Slammer

I really enjoy Slammer and I hope they keep it for years to come, but I can see why they would want to remove it. It causes them nothing but trouble, costs a lot to run and barely works - and it's not even that popular. Whilst I would hate to see it go, I can see why it would have to.
  9. That concerns me if they haven't got it sorted yet, can it really be done in under two weeks? (Main season) If not then we would either see one train operation or a very complicated queueing system - either or which would be awful but not something that I would put past thorpe! On a bright note though, I am liking the look of that Billboard
  10. I know they might nearer the time, but if someone wanted to go on it and was planning a trip they might wait until after it reopens, which they couldn't do if Thorpe didn't make the information public until too close to the time. (Not everyone hates it you know! I for one quite enjoy it, so do my friends and we're all major thrill seekers.)
  11. They should state on the website that it's not going to be open for a few weeks at the start of the season if it isn't.
  12. The rope is there for a reason, to be honest it isn't that noticeable and I'm sure you would be glad of it if you were stuck at the top. It doesn't really detract from the overall appearance of the ride in my opinion.

    Slammer

Thorpe should have signs at the entrance saying something like "The only ride of it's type in the world" or something like that.
  14. I think it's just maintenence rather than huge changes. It seems strange that it is taking so long though because they replaced all the flumes with identical ones before the winter closure - but maybe they have unforseen problems?
  15. The Waterpark I visit quite alot : http://www.basingstokeleisure.com/aquadrome I think that my two favourite waterparks are Sandcastle at Blackpool and Blue Lagoon in South Wales. (Next to Oakwood theme park)
  16. Yeah but it's always nice to have some theming whilst in the ride area/queueline, as well as for the actual ride experience. Some theming can add to the ride though, even if you only see it for a few seconds as you go past.
  17. Surely more theming would add to the atmosphere though? (As long as it was done correctly etc...)
  18. Looks very big and bulky for a billboard. As for capacity, it won't be that bad because the queueline will (probably) stay as one main one for all seats, breaking off at either the baggage drop area or the station, so the queueline will probably still move at the same speed as before.
  19. Can anyone confirm whether The Sanctuary will be a charged attraction when it is open in March?
  20. Liking the game so far, haven't unlocked anything yet though. As for The Smiler, I hope that it will have some indoor queueline themed similar to the waiting area for The Sanctuary - because I think that "false sense of security" atmosphere was really good and would be good if it was incorporated into the ride somehow.
  21. Where did you find that out? I don't think I'll be bothering with annual pass day, as much as I would like to go to the park sooner it's just too much hassle, why are they only letting 1000 people on the backwards seats? I hope that doesn't mean it will be limited throughout the whole season, because that would be very complicated.
  22. That doesn't mean that it won't be good though. If themed well and made to look new, I think it will be a good addition to the park. Wonder what the junior coaster will be?
  23. You posted it in the February half term topic! Twice!!
  24. I will ride anything regardless of roughness, but I have to say that Saw is one of the worst. It's strange because some of the ride carriages seem to ride worse than others, but regardless of which car, your head hits the headrests a number of times. Oh yeah, and the jolts at the bottom of the hills... Ouch.
  25. Can anyone remember where this was played? I remember hearing it at the park years ago but I can't remember where.
