Coaster

Personally, I'm not a big fan of Oblivion. The theme is brilliant, and the build up to the ride is simply superb (one of the few rides in my life I have been 'scared' before going on...), but I dunno, the ride itself is a bit meh. On my ride in October, the lift hill felt quite rattly and uncomfortable. The drop is good, but that's all there is to the ride - even though I enjoy the drop, I feel a bit shorted changed by the whole ride.

To me, Oblivion as a whole experience is great, but the ride itself is just 'okay'.

Also agree with Sheepie :blush:I don't mind operators doing their own announcements but the mic or soemething needs turning down, their voices really do sound too loud! I had to cover my ears up

Has always been water! Spraying red dye at people in their expensive Burberry would not go down well! I've never seen it not work either which is good, but yeah, the axes and stuff are a lot more effective when they move, and they usually do!

Final thoughts... well done to Swarm, a deserved winner.
What on Earth was going on with Colossus & NI going out before Rush I'll never know (personal opinion...).

Valhalla for me too. Superb themeing, and love that song they play in the station

Valhalla wins my vote hands down went on it first time this year and loved every second of it theming is amazing effects all work its not really short and in won 2nd best water ride in the world at golden gates awards enough said.
Also you left out Viking River Splash at Legoland

Rameses has seats either side where you don't get wet, Ripsaw doesn't from what I can see.
Plus Ripsaw seems to have a pants cycle where as Rameses seems to have a much better cycle, more full flips, where as Ripsaw seems to go round and not do a great lot.
I think they would get more people ride it if they had dedicated seats for people who want to ride, but don't want to get wet. Plus with different settings, they can have a gentle ride, then a full on ride. Why not have the main queue split into two Queue 1 for a dry gentle ride, queue 2 for a more intense and wet ride...

Who needs atmosphere and themeing anyways! That Disney place don't understand guest needs and wants at all... Thorpe are TRULY done with the kids... All the way from SHOUTING THEIR MARKETING to not bothering to maintain stuff...
Seriously, this is like, the PERFECT chance to improve on something that adds to the ride... Too small and smelly? Well that's what maintenance and renovation is all about... Add to the experience of the ride... Otherwise Thorpe are essentially just going to become Six Flags/Cedar Fair UK... This is not a good thing...

What id like to see for 2013:
1. If the xnwo retheme is true, make sure it's done properly, it's looking very run down at the mo.
2. Fix music across the park, fix the hi pitched stuff, please lose the chart music on park (apart from for events)
3. Fix up the effects on Colossus / inferno. Would be nice to see the water tower working at tidal wave again and the entrance sign
3. Tlc across the park, repaint lost theming like the police barriers at tidal wave, the majority of the queue lines need repairing / repainting too
4. Reopen fastrack points across the park, the one at inferno is under too much pressure on busy days causing huge queues

I don't know what amuses me more, the fact they can't afford a new roof or the fact they let it get into that condition in the first place.
Merlin. PLEASE REFURBISH YOUR DAMN RIDES PLEASE.

We rode enterprise last day of the season and I was supprised how smooth it felt.

My honest opinion and I believe most of the GP will agree is: I don't care if TP are making 1P profit a year or 10 million pounds profit.
Does the ticket price go up and down depending on how much money they are making? Do you pay more when the park is empty and less when the park is full? The simple answer is no, you pay the same no matter if you go on a Tuesday during term time or Bank Holiday Monday. I have said this before, nearly every visit to TP you get a completely different experience, One visit will be brilliant, you get on rides quickly, get to do everything in one day, the next visit many rides are out of action or on one train, the next visit you only get on 4-5 main rides in an entire day. Thorpe needs to work hard to ensure that they give a consitent experience to their guests.
Fright nights for me was a big disappointment, the sound in the Lost City was appalling it was too quiet, produced no atmosphere and the Governor just made our group think "WTF?" Several areas had no sound at all. If they had kept on the standard park music it would have been a lot better IMO. The prisoners in the Saw queue were very good. Our group didn't do a single maze, why is this you ask, well 1) not paying for a maze after paying an event fee (which you don't have to do at Alton), 2) the queues were so long, now way am I going to spend 2 hours of my life queuing no matter how good it is and Fasttrack was not an option. Also the one thinge on the back of my mind was to get out of the place before it closed at 9 as I didn't want to spent 40 mins in a mega long queue to get out of the car park, after experiencing that level of disaster during Sun Scream.
If anything I hope the Crash Pad gives us more facilities and possibly ERT as to be honest Thorpe are not giving us much in return, cancelling the fireworks was another kick in the teeth for us. I read about people saying the Alton Fireworks were not as good, but from what I saw on Youtube they were well up there. Thorpe couldn't be bothered to buy a £9.99 box from Asda and let it off.
Note to Thorpe... I won't pay an event fee for Fright nights again, it was not worth it, but I would happily pay £10 event fee if you put on a good firework show like Alton.

Some of them did, less than half though I think. If anything it made the knackered looking ones look worse having a shiny new one following it round. It is the station I really hope gets the attention, it looks shocking at the moment and the track will look really bad so close to new stuff it it doesn't get painted.

The rotation of Vortex is really bad, only a few seat get to go at the top when it is swinging the highest.

I would like the cars to remain backwards - in fact the actual coaster left as it is. But I would like to see a complete refurb of the special effects, queueline and building in general - including the exterior. Go back to the theme being a computer virus but THEME IT PROPERLY!
Maybe something like "Virus detected: Do not proceed" on the chainlift from speakers etc...
Also the building should go back to being pitch black, but the stops should have tunnels round them with lighting effects. (Similar to the tunnels on the trim breaks on Astro storm at Brean leisure park)
There could be a few random strobes around the building though that only go off as the train goes past them etc...

.....or two old style trains stuck together.
The lap bar question is what it's all about. C'mon the lap bars.

Ugh, I was really hoping this maze wouldn't ever sell out. It's only going to encourage Merlin, especially when you consider, I don't think AT's mazes have EVER sold out...

I cant believe a maze, which you have to pay for on top of the already increased gate entry fee for fright nights, has had an hour queue to get in.
That is just pure madness, not to mention it just sounds like Hellgate with a bag on your head.

Stare into one of the eyes on that face for about 20 seconds and blink rapidly at a blank wall... There certainly is some brainwashing going on!
