  1. I wouldn't bother going on it if the queue was more than 5-10 mins, which is probably very unlikely. Its quite fun, but pointless.

yesterday I sadly queued an hour for it :/ lol silly me but what really annoyed me was that the boats were completely filled up with water, didnt help that there was some guy and his son merged with us and his son kept kicking the water :)
  2. I sit next to this kid in Leisure Studies who always comes up with these bull**** stories of how he went to Thorpe Park the week before (even though it's shut) and a phone flew off Zodiac and hit his mate in the chest nearly killing him.

I have a friend like that, he once said he saw a helicopter land on top of stealth on the helipad when it got stuck up there? what helipad :L
  3. There was this group of girls in the queue to Nemesis, and one was saying how she knew a girl who died on the ride but know she is in a wheelchair - obviously came back to life I guess. Also the people I hate are the Chavs that look down at you despite them looking like tramps themselves or when the mum with 50 kids running around screaming and smoking!

  4. 2011- Get rid of Rumba Rapids *cough* ****hole *cough* and replace with some amazing new rapids ride similar to bilge barge in universal.2012- A coaster with loads of air time not loops painted deep blue and themed around something happier than saw or the end of the world as thorpes becoming a depressing place.2013- New indoor coaster thats amazingly themed, dunno what about though ;P2014- thorpe has a break to really sort out the park and maybe build a new entrance and thats it for me

  5. I think considering it is meant to look lost the ride wears it a lot better than a lot of people give it credit for. But in all fairness, I read it somewhere on this forum that Thorpe appear to have a habit of "theming" their rides on concepts that don't require them to look brand spanking new all the time.

If thats true, Thorpe have taken it too far with colosuss. It urgently needs a repaint it looks disgusting atm.
  6. I would think there are other ways to make something look old and tatty, without throwing thousands of broken bricks and rubble into the area. It amazes me, the park are then shocked when someone launches a brick from the top of Colossus. What do you expect from your target audience, when bricks and rubble are so handy? You could almost add marker pens on the back of all the toilet stalls doors too!

 really someone threw a brick from Colossus!?
  7. I've never heard any rock music playing... is this in the queue area? What kind of songs do they play? Also at the beginning of the season Vortex's music was not playing did it return in the end?

Not in the queue line that music is fine, its inside the maze I have no idea what the songs are they're just very rock-ish
  8. The staff always seem happy although there are some that instantly think that teenagers are there to cause trouble! But there is a certain one I cant remeber her name but when we were on zodiac she was screaming along with the kids on it saying wanna go higher :P hahaha its nice when they interact with the ride as well. :)

  9. I've never been to Thorpe Park in March before so have completely no idea to how long the average queue times would be. I am going on March 28th, so any idea? What do you reckon the maximum queue times would be for Saw: The Ride and Stealth in particular?

I dont think the queues will be that bad, as its a monday and everyone will be at work :) I tend to go when my school has inset days.so I would say about 20 - 30 mins for both of them I might be wrong, but it wont be too bad
  10. 8-8? Jesus bloody christ... That's a really poor idea... Just... NO... The logistics with that idea are just immensely poor... 14 hour shifts? Yeah, that sounds amazing... ;)

It was just an idea, I didnt know ideas only popular with other people were allowed here? and anyway thorpe closes in the summer at 8 and opens at like 9:30 so theres not a huge difference!
  11. That is like saying "If I want to eat food, I'll go to a tatty local fast food restaurant" or "If I want to watch a show, I'll go to a primary school play".Firstly, gardens are a heck of a lot more than "looking at plants" and good ones are in a totally different league to garden centres where you buy plants. They are all about the natural beauty, and amazing landscaping, maybe even artwork and sculpture. That is why some theme parks have them, because all good theme parks are about the experience.Secondly, it is all part of the package. If you "just want to ride rides" then go to a funfair or an amusement park. Theme parks are (meant to be) for all the experience, effects and entertainment, whether that means brilliant and thrilling rollercoasters or theatrical special effect shows and dark rides. So it isn't as "OMG Y WUD YOU WONT A GARDAN IN A TEME PARK!?!?" as you seem to think the case is.Personally, I think a big garden would not suit Thorpe Park very well, though the existing one behind Stealth is alright as it is (if a bit oddly placed). However, yes, much better landscaping would really help take that unpleasant atmosphere of "land of tarmac" off the experience. It's horrible and a bit off putting really...

I'm guessing this is your example of what type of people who like rides at theme parks and no gardens talk like. IN MY OPINION I dont pay 30 quid to stare at trees I play £30 to go on rides....
