  1. God loves you. Praise be Jesus Loggers, and all that jazz. Yes, what a worthy "Religion" ;) From the moment you called a ride your friend, my respect for you was banished. Then you had to top it off by sending it kisses! You need help. :P

LOL if he likes the ride tho let him?
  2. When ever I go Thorpe Park I never need to buy fastrack because the queues are never that long, I never had to queue longer than about and hour for a ride maybe colosuss in the summer once but very rarely, so I never understand why people buy fastrack....

  3. quantum doesnt make me sick as such but when u have long legs its really hard because you try and find a place for your feet then as it jolts my ankles smash against the metal bars (try and picture this aswell as you can :L) and yh I think the ride itself is too small everything is squished together

  4. Zodiac just hacks me off! What could be more awkward than being forced into a pod with someone elses knees impeding your personal space. I had to go on it once with a really creppy guy; Not pleasant.Slammer is immense.

the thing I hate about zodiac is that its just so bad, I can sit in that ride reading a book and not notice I was going nearly upside down, just gives me a headache and its not good when some random splash of water splats you in the face cos I dread to think what that is :s
  5. Arn't you the cool kid? Please, next you'll be telling us you hate chavs, in my eyes what you have done makes you just that :P

clearly accidently breaking a speaker makes me chav...? I'm sure you have broken something before does that make you a chav.........no :P
  6. It was operating at least during this summer as I went on it. It does suffer from a lot of problems though I am guessing; loads of people who were surprised it was running.

the first time I went on slammer I was bricking it so I was doing anything to take my mind of it and that meant playing with the speakers hahaha I broke one on the right side haha it started to make buzzing noises so I just left it never exited a ride so quick :L
  7. Hmm, I have a sick phobia, and last time I went on it, the person opposite me was going green, and gagging. It just seems pointless, and I don't think spinning rides are that good, anyways, except for slammer.

same the only spinning ride I like is slammer despite the most painfull restraints ever :L I think zodiac needs to go I hate its such a pointless ride :/
  8. I just don't get a thrill from it, it makes me feel sick, but I'll go on it if everyone in my group is going to.

same its the only ride I have been on that I wont go on again I used to be fine with it but lately I get really ill and it ruins my day if I go on it :/
  9. Simple topic really, just for updates and that over the closed season. :P (By the way, mods, can this be put in the General Thorpe Park Section? :P)Not much I can say really, and unfortunately I don't have any pictures, but there's a chance of some in the nest few days from me. Vertical construction of Storm Surge is not visible from outside the park yet. The majority of the slide is still in the staff car park, however, the lift hill section has been moved (whether it's just been moved out of site, or somewhere slightly more productive I dunno. Rush's swigs haven't been taken off (which is different to previous seasons I believe?) and Slammer doesn't have any scaffolding on it (for a change :D). Samurai's arm is still in its ordinary position, though I'd assume the pods have been taken off like usual. Not much else I can say really. Photos will probably come from one member or another sooner or later, so until then...

ive been waiting for ages for some new updates on storm surge :/
  10. As far as I can remember, yes. Because its supposed to remind us of the 'Venus Flytrap' scene from SAW II, unfortunatly, I think it would have been better on the roof, and a sensor would trigger, setting a light off so we get a quick glimpse of it, and we hear the sound fx's of the trap going off. Also thorpe, get rid of that bloody rock music, it aint needed!

ikr that stupid rock music ruins the whole thing the last time I was in there the whole way through I was wtf why are they playing rock music we need saw music :@
  11. Very true, I think that the overall scare depends on the acting skill, but if the scene doesnt correspond with what we should recognise from the films, the actors persay cannot act in them, in the correct way.For example the electric room, yes very good and it gives us a feel that jigsaw is trying to stop us, but if the billy doll wasnt in there, or the red paint saying 'LOOK CLOSER DETECTIVE MATTHEWS!', I wouldnt of had a clue that, that scene was supposed to be from SAW 2, and if you did have any actors in there, which there never is, they too could find it had to act in as, they would never have actually seen how said scene would have been acted out, as thorpe have just created it from scratch. Also good point about the 'Pig Masks' ThrillSeekerMatt, I have noticed in all the times I have been in the maze, only once has there been someone in there with a Pig Mask on, which I feel is a bit of a let down, as how are we supposed to feel that Jigsaw is coming after us, when all we have is people, who are in the midst of getting killed, trying to kill us O_oI think thorpe should have just left it alone and not created it, because, it was and still is a complete disaster.

woah theres red paint on the wall :P I never noticed that thats one of the problems I have with the maze you dont get enough time to linger to look around and explore the detail thorpe have tried to create :/
  12. The only reason Thorpe themed Saw so well was because Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures had a lot to do with it, making sure everything was perfect.

yh but its not perfect it has no sotry line its just a ride with some saw features in it if I could do it over again it would be like you need to try and save someone and the only way is to board the trap (the ride) etc see thorpe park dont even need to add much to make it have a story line all they need is a few voice recordings saying that whoever is in a trap and you need to escape jigsaw to get them etc
  13. Whilst I see what you mean, I would say they can add so much more. For example, look at Saw's queue. They add so much more than metal and sound effects, and it does help add to the experience of it all. Then you look at Amity Cove. Look at the shark they installed this season outside KFC. Brilliant touch of theming there. Then there's the 'Calamity Cove' sign, another nice touch. Whilst I get what you mean, there's much more theming that can be added.

your right :P the shark and stuff is great especialy the KFC ceiling the way they have done it is great infact thorpes not that bad after all :D
  14. I dont think Thorpes an awful theme park and I do still think its a theme park because they dont just have random bright colored coasters with nothing but a queue they do try and add abit of theming they just are really bad at it to them they add a few bricks and metal and a few sound effects Bam you got theming but unless it a completely enclosed ride like THE MUMMY: THE RIDE then I dont think other than the queue theres theming to be added? point out if I'm wrong cos apparently ive been classed as a troll :L

  15. I would hate for Depth Charge to go. I remember going on it as a kid - yes yes I know playing the nostalgia card means absolutely nothing - but to this day it's still my standard first ride of the day every time I visit because it's a nice soft ride to get warmed up, so to speak. However it isn't terribly popular and I suppose it does take up a fair amount of room. Having said that, there were five staff on it today (two at the top, three at the bottom) when there was no queue at all - seemed a bit of a waste (unless it's some kind of minimum staffing for H&S or something?)

thats like with em and Vampire that was the first rollercoaster I ever went on I still got the pic, and if chessie ever got rid of it I would be heart broken :P
  16. Just adding my little point here :PThe actors are their to give their performance so if they cant be bothered as someone put (I think) then they're not doing their job properly, after all they are actors and if they couldn't be bothered to perform properly on stage they wouldn't get away with it. yes people get tired and agitated but thats part of life if they get that tired standing behind a pillar and occasionally stare at your whilst their horrendous make up clouds their face, then they need a few energy drinks. and its not the same people all day ive been in there within a space of 10 mins maybe and theyre completely different actors who "act" like they've been in there for decades. and its not just the actors its also the staff add any atmosphere to the ride you see all the theming and you get in the scared mood then someone women with a little counter walks up to you and tells, not asks you to get into a line its just not very good, and I know they need to get a certain amount of people through to stop queues getting long but I would like to spend a little time in the room other than 10 seconds as I dont get to absorb the atmosphere, they spend all that money on themeing and msells etc and I never have a chance to see it properly because where out so quick. oh and also the actors need to stay in chanrecter because you say the slighest thing to them and they change into their job I got a call from my mum the 3rd time I went round and I answered it and the actor was like RAWWW.. then excuse me mate cant that wait till outside... I was like no ---___--- I also called the women on the hook a bitch cause she kicked me whislt dying on the hook and she randomly got off and ushered us out the room again I was like ---___---any way theire are some good points about saw alive it only takes a minute to walk round
