  1. I would love to do brave it alone, however due to the fact my sister and friends are going to the same day (they're not plus one's), it is unlikely I will be staying later after 10pm. I would really to do brave it alone but doubt I will.
  2. A wooden coaster would suit Chessington perfectly. If only Merlin knew the greatness of woodies and Kingston council were not so stringy about planning permission. Also, where would they place the ride as Chessie don't really have a lot of unoccupied space and the only ride I can see leaving the park in the next few years is toadies.
  3. Well comparing this year to previous ones, I wouldn't say it's the best one we've had by the looks (the opening hours really not helping) but definitely looks better than last years so far. I've never been to a Hocus Pocus event before (and would like to visit one) however, that may not be for a while yet.
  4. Probably the amount of times Jacks ridden Inferno this year.
  5. Looks abit like one of those rapid pool rides you find at some water parks. This is the first I've ever seen Rumba like that, must be a broken whirlpool machine.
  6. HappyBirthday Sidders, have a great day.
  7. In terms of charging £50 for Fright Bights, it's a lot of money and very pricey which it seems now the £50 themepark charge barrier has just been reached. However if you look at the current aspects below, it does justify the extra £5 charge for fright nights (in most ways). 1/ the park is open for up to 12 hours (giving those who arrive around the start a long park day) 2/ There are three mazes & a scare zone added to the lineup 3/ the only (real) time of the year to experience night rides (within a full day ticket) 4/ most people may buy online or use recouping to reduce costs So to most it's quite a fees able up charge however not worth paying if your only visiting for a few hours on a peak fright nights.
  8. In summary to me, the ride looks fairly so far (bar the warehouse shed) .plus I'm certain the ride's theming seems to replicate Thi3teen's in places (in pictures 2&3 above).
  9. I wonder if they'll do any treating to the ride for 2014 to try and improve the experience and teething troubles they had this year. Must admit, think I'm due another ride on the Smiler.
  10. I'm absolutely certain, they won't be using the goblins because they have nothing to do with the new Haloween storyline. As for the attraction itself, I think it could do with a refresh maybe now, as after all parts of the attraction are looking worn and old plus it is 10 years old now. However this new storyline has lots of new potential and could make for an excellent experience which could even shape for a revamped version of Hocus Pocus for 2014. I love the new soundtrack for the attraction too which sounds almost like something you'd hear in a Tim Burton film and is even better than the current/old theme used on the ride which was also quite good.
  11. It's a shame you won't be attending Josh as I still haven't met you in person yet and may not be for a while. Hope it goes well Lottie. That's a shame Alex, would've been great to see you again but hope everything goes well with your friends meet up.
  12. A Mack launch would suit the park perfectly as the park needs another 'large scale' coaster. As for the ride type itself, I hope the park go for a family thrill coaster I.e something that sets young thrillseekeers ready for the intense rides.
  13. That water Porto ride sounds very interesting. I hope it turns out to be a brilliant ride for the park.
  14. Yeah, tbh I expect to get Id'd all the time when buying alcohol and restricted material. However there was this time I was Id'd in a pub and showed an ID (validate card) and despite saying I was ages 18 and over was rejected from the drink as they said they weren't really allowed to accept them there and despite college mates saying that this I'd was valid and workable, it still got rejected= no beer and the fact I was rather p***** off.
  15. Chessington has surely gone down hill this year. I'm hoping the reason why there are no zoo days this coming closed season (excluding Christmas & half term) are due to the park doing heavy major park work so they can improve the park, otherwise the park has made a poor decision and as whether it's busy or dead, the animals will still need to be fed.
  16. For a custom made ride, that does look pretty good.I wouldn't mind a ride on something like that.
  17. Yeah, Cabin was definitely the best followed by Asylum and My a Bloody Valentine, but the Blair Witch was rather disappointing though. The you're next actors weren't brilliant either. I didn't do Saw Alive so can't comment. However, the park did a pretty good job there though.
  18. My review of Fright Nights 2013 which is the first time I've done the mazes WARNING, contains spoilers! 1/ Cabin in the woods, I found this maze very good. The actors dramatic and convincing efforts helped as did the jumps and the room tricks where you so engines chose your path in the maze. Several actors interested with me both in and outside the ride. The route to start was a little confusing it other than that it was good, 8/10. 2/ My a Bloody a Valentine, Very good again, excellent theming inside, convincing actors, scary moments and some interesting effects. Didn't seem quite as good as CITW but still a good maze, 7.5/10. 3/ Blair Witch Scare zone, TBH, quite a disappointment, it had its odd share of moments such as the ending with the shed, but as interesting as walking the old railway route (which went to the farm,it wasn't that great and more of distraction/alternative way to reach the other end of the park, 3/10. 4/ The Asylum Despite being the longest running maze at the park, I have never done this before until now. The maze was very interesting with its siren alarms throughout the maze as well the writing on the wall and the flashing lights really helped the setting. The actors would suddenly appear in front of you which with the light setting are less noticeable . The ending was also impressive being chased out of the maze by the chain saw person, 8.5/10. 5/ Youre a Next roaming actors Saw them around the caroulsel area, but they weren't too intimidating to be honest and didn't set the scene. 2/10. 6/ Saw Alive I didn't go in this attraction. Overall mix of opinions, some were good and some were bad, but as this was the pass preview night, they will hopefully resolve this soon.
  19. I really like the sound of this new music soundtrack how it delivers a mysterious but also adventurous feel for the attraction. Hopefully with the amount of downtime of attraction, it will prove to be an excellent attraction for the park at Haloween.
  20. Yes, I'm completely certain there's going to be a Blackpool trip next year at some point. On another, does anyone know if the pleasure beach is installing any new rides next year.
  21. I shall be attending tomorrow for the preview and hope to meet up with everyone going. Also, the towers nerds are attending the preview as well.
  22. This could prove really exciting for the park and with the location of the park, they have potential to achieve quite a lot of activities there.
  23. Currently, the dates between the 14th-21st are best for me as I won't be at uni then. I can however at the moment possibly do all the listed dates except the 8th and 22nd.
  24. 83 is average expenditure I have after spending a day at a themepark.
