Wow, I was worried, the hour from 9-10 on a Sunday night is golden

yes the clowns were in it last year!

Due to me living so far away from Thorpe, Until August just gone I didn't realise how easy getting 3 trains down to Thorpe really is, so now I will be going to Thorpe more often!

Bit off topic, but in my opinion Experiment 10 is the best maze Thorpe have ever done. It had a great story, horrifying actors/costumes, and the bit where you are split up is very scary! It was my favourite maze and by far the scariest and best overall. The actors were also perfect to come out of the maze and roam every now and then, with one chasing me into the toilet! Ex10 was the best; why did they ever get rid of that maze? And why does MBV not have a similar style locked-up scene, as if you are the main character watching Harry through the mesh like in the film!

I'm pretty sure something similar was done in SAW at Halloween Horror Nights at Universal - near the end of the maze, one of the pigmen would come out, grab someone in the group and drag them through a door into another room!

It would be great if the first corridor in the Asylum building has fake doors on the walls to make it look like a motel corridor!  
And then at the end, in the small space before entering the main building, there could be a check-in desk with an actor behind it! <3

6-10pm only. Is meant to be emptier than standard fright nights however last year it was fairly busy(things got up to 60mind I believe). However, this year it's on a Thursday instead of a Friday so should be fairly empty especially compared to the half term week.

My Bloody Valentine is the worst Scare Attraction I've ever done, the only way they can improve it is by scrapping it and starting again.

so do My bloody valentine get a 5/5 scare rating for crawling through a tunnel? As I don't remember it being very scary last year? 
And now the arenas free does this mean there could be a show of some sort?

'Cashed in' my Behind the Scenes Tour and Coaster Climb.  Huge thanks to TPM for being able to sort out 2for1 deals and to Thorpe for giving TPM that opportunity and for setting it up the ideas in the first place!
 
My Behind the Scenes tour was of Saw, and was really interesting.  Got given a full tour of the workshop, control room, console as well as along part of the CCR route.  The engineers' knowledge is unreal, and their ability to be able to answer any question in such depth shows that they have real passion for their work!  
 
Of course, I did the Coaster Climb on Swarm.  Being such a nice day, we could around for miles, and it was a really nice being up there.  Photos don't justify how amazing the views are.  Afterwards, I was given a closer look at the helicopter - real nice bit of theming!

Again, thanks to TPM, Thorpe, my VIP host, the Saw engineers and the rides manager who took us up the lift hill!  Will definitely be looking into doing another experience next season!

CCR and the farm! wish they were still there as I remember going to the farm when I was little and it was a great little place to take you away from the rides for a while. Wish it was still here
Apart from that, missing asylum already. I loved my first and only go in it and wished it was coming back for 2014!

Also worth booking if you dont have a valid annual pass but plan on getting one soon!

Hoping they keep the iconic Midnight syndicate asylum music though. That adds a great soundtrack to that area  the park!

Went on a backstage tour yesterday and I have been told a few things that are of interest, firstly asylum was going to be closed last year anyway as THORPE wanted to have all lionsgate mazes but wanted to give it its last 8th season to match that of its previous the freezer, which also had an 8 year run. Also the complaint and subsequent bad press was basically brushed off by THORPE as any press is good press as it drew peoples attention, and also I was told that virtually every year they receive complaints about their mazes that they offend someone and so THORPE basically don't worry TOO much about this kind of problem unless it got out of hand. I also know that The Asylum is definitely being replaced by a new lionsgate maze and apparently according to my host ( who ran one of the mazes last year) lionsgate are going to do something amazing with it that is going to 'outdo asylum'. Also this will be the 13th frightnight and so they are also going to do something special for it and it will be "the best fright night so far". I also asked about angrybirds land and I was told it would be open normally until 2 when all of the removable themeing will be taken away and new horror themeing will be added for firght night opening at 3, the themeing will then be removed to the original angrybirds themeing again at 11 after park close. Also the music during the frightnight hours in angeybirds land will change. All of this was given to me by one of the people who runs the mazes and as far as she was aware is true
