@JoshC. Really looking forward to hearing your experience with it!
I did Studio 13 the following year too (I think on the first night BIA was offered that year?) and was considering writing that up.. Will be interesting to compare experiences!
I agree, it's looking unlikely that something like this would return.. But we can hope!

Wow, it sounds SO good.
I've weirdly tried to avoid watching a POV because of just how epic everyone says it is - even if it's years away, I'm waiting to see it in person, and can't wait!
The queues even after all this time seem absolutely mad, but even so it sounds like it's worth the wait.

Thank you so much everyone for replying! 🙏
@JoshC. I took your advice - yesterday at Towers I reminded myself too look around to spot some “non teen groups” - and there were LOADS.
@Martin Doyle That’s an interesting point about Efteling - abroad you do tend to notice more adults without kids visiting the parks.
I think you guys are right - it’s a Thorpe thing. Now I think of it, it’s generally at Thorpe that I feel too old, standing alongside all the teens! I suppose other places (particularly Towers in the uk) don’t have that feeling so much (unless it’s school trip season!)
You’re spot on there @Han30 - I completely agree, who bloody cares anyway!
I can honestly see myself visiting the parks well in to my old age. Thinking back to yesterday at the fireworks, I can’t see myself ever not wanting to return!

Thank you everyone who’s responded!
Some really interesting points.
I agree with the point raised a couple of times here that visiting Thorpe specifically + half term was only ever going to exasperate it, and it’s true that it is Thorpe where I get the feeling of being “too old” the most. It’s not so much an issue elsewhere, especially abroad weirdly.
Josh, that is utterly terrifying that a 15 year old joining the forum today would be younger than Stealth 😳 I too remember being on forums and at the park around that age watching the construction of Stealth. It doesn’t feel that long ago does it!
I’ll be honest I still see Saw as “pretty new” 😂
👨🏼🦳 I REMEMBER WHEN IT WAS ALL FIELDS 😂
To be honest I agree with you all - I too don’t think you can be too old to visit and enjoy theme parks, and I have no plans to stop!
This forum alone is evidence that there’s a keen following among a slightly older audience.
Just interested to hear if others ever felt the same occasionally.

Wow it really was quiet when you were there! Empty seats on Hulk and Dragons!
Fantastic photos as always, looking forward to seeing your night time ones
God I need to get back there

Legoland actually looks quite good!
Really loving these trip reports

Brilliant post and lovely pictures
The Worlds of Discovery are just as good as Disney and Universal tbh especially when you factor in price. Busch and Aquatica are just amazing.
I miss Orlando

Brilliant review Josh! Makes you realise how much has actually happened there this season!
Here's to another fab season in 2014!

I agree with that last comment Josh. There is absolutely nothing wrong with being a thrill capital, it's great
The issue was that they refused to acknowledge that anybody outside the age of 15 - 20 existed, making it a really unwelcoming place for most visitors.
I hope they continue focusing on thrills but spare a thought for everyone else that pays the ticket price every day too!

I loved reading this Josh! Cheers for posting.
I knew they had a launched coaster planned but I hadn't seen the layout like this.
I'm glad we ended up with Colossus. I wonder what TP would look like today if the launch had been built instead? Certainly Stealth wouldn't have been built.
I'd love to see that admissions graph extended all the way to to this year.

Thanks for posting these pics Josh!
I vaguely remember riding Wicked Witches Haunt when I was a child with my Dad (mum & little sis waited outside!) and being absolutely petrified the whole way round! I must have been about 6 or 7 I think.
The thing I remember most about it was the suspense in the station.
If you look here you can see how it is today - even where the buildings suddenly get "chopped off" where the old building used to be.

Interesting to hear about Disney - I have to say I’ve been put off massively thanks to all the money grab changes recently
