When I called and booked mine, I asked when and where it starts and I was told to be at the entrance by 10 AM with my reference number.
If anyone else has more information about this event, please share.

Not sure about 3, but I have an idea for 1 and 2 after booking my ticket over the phone the other day:

2) I believe it will continue until just after lunch.

Good parks though use memorable music to create memories... I'm still singing bits and pieces from Efteling and other parks I've visited over the years...
Thorpe's old entrance music was a fantastic piece of work, and it was always disappointing it went in the first place... Hopefully the rebrand reaches to this element as well...

I hope they got a receipt for that then!

Blimey - I don't normally ride Vortex as it makes me feel ill (no point ruining my day for it!) but I think even my ageing stomach could handle that cycle!

It's a real shame that Vortex still hasn't been fixed and running properly for the 2014 season, as I really hoped Thorpe would fix the height and stutter problem it had last year.
Considering other rides had difficulties today, I think Thorpe need to take a long good look at how all of their rides operate and look in presentation at some point and realise that instead of using their budget on a "new" ride/area in the park to gain higher gate numbers each year, they should spend it to get these rides running to their full potential and look more appealing to a guest, especially considering some of these rides are getting to a stage where it isn't even worth queuing more than 5 minutes for now.
I'll give Thorpe another week to fix these problems, but honestly, I doubt they will be fixed anytime soon.

I would love to see both the entrance theme and the end of day track back. And Colossus' music as it should be, not high pitched and fast like its been for two seasons now!

Well the max hight you got last year before it started to stop. That's only half way through the new cycles

So when you next visit the park make sure you grab a seat on vortex it was being tested today and there fix all the problems from last season and it goes A LOT HIGHER!!!

Sounds like it will be an interesting event!

Because basic maintenance doesn't bring in guests or income...
Of course, producing a well kept park with a good atmosphere will make guests happy, and therefore liable to spend more and even return and get friends to visit...
It's astounding how little Merlin seem to care about the basics of theme park presentation...

Its horrible how they just let these old rides rot! Loggers is a classic attraction. I&#39;m sure merlin must have a lot of money so why cant they put some into loggers, rumba and Colossus!

Ensuring that the park looks in top shape SHOULD be a priority...
Simple as... The parks have pressure washers, just need to get some fresh coats of paints on the rides or fix things as they break...
It just involves effort and budget, the latter of which isn't provided because there's no apparent return on "fixer-uppers"...

The real question is, when are IMA going to release the entire 75 minutes worth?

I'd like to see something better than chart music at the entrance, bridge & Dome, even if they don't bring the old music back something new would be good.
Ideally I'd like a piece of music that people will call "the Thorpe Park theme tune" - same as ITHOTMK at Alton Perhaps we'll see this happen when they re-vamp the entrance in the next few years?
The sooner The Noise is gone though, the better.
