    As promised in the group chat, the plan for the days is as follows: FRIDAY: Arrive as and when you want, some are arriving from around 7pm. Rooms have been organised by Peaj unless you have booked/organised individually. SATURDAY: Visit Towers. Timings as per the original post. Due to the water park being fully booked this day this will no longer be happening this day. After park closes those that want will do the crazy golf, those that don't may go for a drink in one of the hotel bars (post to follow below to gauge interest in doing golf). Anyone who is interested in doing Treetops, discuss this among yourselves and organise to go during the park day. After this those who have not booked the Rollercoaster Restaurant will head into Newcastle for dinner and drinks and those doing RR may join after if they wish SUNDAY: Some are leaving Sunday morning/Saturday night for their own plans, so will not be doing this day. Those that are staying will return to the park as per the original timings and ride more rides Those that want to may do the water park during the day (Post to follow below to gauge interest). Hope this clears up all confusion!

    @ThemeParkCrafte, unfortunately I think screens are going to be the future of theme park attractions, physical sets take so much upkeep (glares at Tomb Blaster and the fact one of the reasons behind its refurb was that the dust on the figures was becoming a fire hazard...)

    Hi everyone! As you will hopefully have seen, we have bought back the forum event feature with a special new calendar especially for our official TPM meets! I have now created an event for every meet that has a confirmed date, and will create the new events as soon as the dates are confirmed on the meet pages. Feel free to leave feedback on the events here, things we could do to improve the pages, etc. and how you would prefer/find it easier to RSVP to the meets. Thanks!

    Good Afternoon all of you wonderful people! I'm very excited to officially announce plans for our next Blackpool TPM Trip . The last one was extremely popular so even more excited! The date of the event is the extended weekend of Friday 2nd - Sunday 4th September 2016. As you can see it's an extended whole weekend! Which gives you a choice - come on the Friday, or the Saturday, or on the Sunday or a couple of the days or stay the whole weekend! I would imagine though the bulk of us will do Sat/Sun. Please take note if you plan to stay with us overnight, it will be your responsibility to book your own rooms and unfortunately if your under 18 we cannot help you with this! If you were to stay the night - under no circumstances will TPM get involved and take responsibility with how you stay overnight, as for the overnight section of the trip will be an over 18's event. Plus this event will rely on you wonderful kind drivers or which your help will be much appreciated. But based on past success's I'm sure this will be no problem. The Outline of the days will be as follows: On Saturday, Meet outside the entrance by Pasaje Del Terror at 08:30 am opposite the ticket gates to have a small social before the park opens, and then we will enter the park. Please bear in mind we will leave without you if you are late as it’s not fair on time keepers! As members have found out! If by any chance you happen to miss this meet point due to travel arrangements or just plain lateness you can either phone or text so we can arrange to meet . This first part of the morning we will make the most of the quiet park and churn out those rides. We will try our best to get on all the attractions. I know not everyone will want to do some of the rides at Blackpool Pleasure Beach. If you decide to not come on please be polite and wait for everyone to come off and chat to other members whilst you are waiting. Or go off and do another attraction as long as you’ll be back before the group has finished riding the attraction. Please respect other people’s wishes who wish to ride certain things that you yourself may not be too keen with. During the day, around half 1, we will stop for a bite to eat where you can go and eat where you like and we will arrange where to meet after everyone has finished eating. (Who knows we might all want to eat the same thing anyway ) After lunch we will group together for the Official Group Photo for the meet and continue going round the park and riding the attractions people want to do until the park closes at 8. During the Evening we will relax and watch the Blackpool Illuminations. On the Sunday we will start on the Merlin Attractions meeting outside the Blackpool Tower at 09:45am. We will explore the Tower and during the day go to the Blackpool Madame Tussauds/Sea Life & Dungeons just like our London Meets. During the afternoon we will have a little breather in the Blackpool Ballroom for a couple of drinks and if you are lucky me and my dance partner might go off and do some ballroom and latin on that famous floor whilst you socialise over drinks. For those who do go up on the Friday evening we will most likely go along the piers and arcades and see the nightlife. We will also possibly try out the Waterpark either the Friday or the Sunday. As it's quite a big event the way the weekend is run is subject to change but due to the distance I know you and I will be in regular correspondence so everyone knows what is happening. I will be handing out my phone number for everyone who is attending the meet that day, should there be any problems. We aim to stay together as a group for the day, going from one activity to the next, enjoying getting to know people you share very similar interests with, the idea is to just go with the flow and enjoy the day with some awesome people. There will be many photos in the day being taken and the possibility of a few video clips. Whilst we cannot force you to stay with the group, it is the general purpose of these meets! You will have my number (and some of the senior teams) if you become split so by all means use it. The meets are a fantastic laugh and everyone is invited, even if you have never posted before or been to any kind of meet at all. If it's your first meet, I understand it can be nerve breaking - but we were all there at one point so know how it feels, please don't let this stop you from attending - once there you'll be part of the group in no time! Just look at the past trips this year! I will soon be putting up a separate post in the meet thread on possible accommodation locations which you can use to help you decide where to sleep (If you're staying for the night). If however you know where your going already by all means book it up! I know for example I will be staying at a nice B&B near the Tower, right in the centre of it all to enjoy the nightlife. Plus there are some really good deals on Laterooms.com Once again, everyone will have my phone number so please use it on the day If anyone has any issues or concerns or even nervous about coming, feel free to post in the meet topic, or PM myself and I will get back to you as soon as possible. It's a busy period with holidays and stuff so I'd imagine it'll be smallish but those meets generally mean you get to spend some quality time with people & great for those who want to try their first meet and intimidated by larger numbers! There will be another optional Ice breaker game. The meet is on Saturday 13th August 2016. As usual the final confirmed date was voted by YOU The Outline of the day will be as follows: Meet outside the park entrance at 09:30am so we have a chance to obtain our tickets to this lovely little park. As soon as the gates for the park open we will go into the park. If by any chance you happen to miss this meet point due to travel arrangements or just plain lateness you can phone or text so we can arrange to meet you or meet up later in the day. This first part of the morning we will make the most of the quiet park and churn out those rides. Please bear in mind we will leave without you if you are late as it’s not fair on time keepers! A couple of members have found out this on previous meets. We will then continue visiting the attractions and we will try our best to get on all the attractions people wish to ride, which will be arranged before the meet. One thing that has been annoying in the past is the decision making on where to go next and then the group changing their minds if a queue is above a certain level. This just ends us up in the past riding less as we spend a lot of the time deciding where to go.     Not really ride related but I found it faintly amusing... For those that don't know I work at a place that runs youth schemes for disabled teenagers, and being back from uni now I'm back at work over half term. The kid I was with on Wednesday demanded that I typed into YouTube 'Derren Brown's Ghost Train' and he chose a few videos almost at random; and we spent the next 20 minutes watching through one of MilesK's vlogs. What a coincidence

    Hi everyone! As some of you may know, this year is the 10th anniversary of Stealth, a rather landmark occasion and a landmark rollercoaster for our beloved Thorpe Park! So we've tried to speak to the park to get a special package together The extras we would get would include a BTS and ERT of Stealth on a date yet to be decided, as usual it will be down to you. Unfortunately as this is a VIP extra, there would be a discounted price depending on numbers. The price would be £35 if we bring 30 people, £30 if we bring 40, etc. We know the price is a lot, but bear in mind Thorpe usually charge £50 for a BTS without ERT! Though of course we would endeavour to roll the extras into a day's meet at Thorpe Park, so you would also get the bonus of being with other great people in a great atmosphere If anyone needs park tickets if they do not own a MAP Thorpe are willing to offer them to us for £25, ever so slightly cheaper than if you were to buy them online in advance.     Good afternoon all of you wonderful people! Thorpe Park have released their Ministry of Sound dates earlier this year which means I'm very excited to officially announce plans for our Derren Brown's Ministry Of Sound Meet at Thorpe Park! The date of the event is Saturday 23rd July 2016. There will be 4 parts to this meet - Thorpe Park during the day and trying out the Derren Brown: Ghost Train Attraction and a picnic afterwards that can be enjoyed by everyone and the clubbing event & Overnight stay to try out the Shark Hotel in the evening which is unfortunately over 18's only! (Or if your me T5 Travelodge ). We will also be extending our hand to the Towers Nerds & Towers Street, in the hope of another great joint meet, by coming down south to join us for the event. This is a fantastic opportunity to socialise with our northern counterparts and to show that the enthusiast community spreads further than one forum. The date of the event is the weekend of Saturday 25th - Sunday 26th June 2016 as voted for by you! As you can see it's the whole weekend, which gives you a choice - come on the Saturday, come on the Sunday or stay the whole weekend! Also for this meet the Tower Nerds/Street community are more than likely to join us. This is a fantastic opportunity to socialise with our northern counterparts and to show that the enthusiast community spreads further than one forum. This event will also be introducing a new game for the meets called 'Knockout.' I believe it will be in the same league as Spooning & Empire which have proved extremely popular. (Yes I said it, I'm comparing it to that standard - shoot me ) There are also a number of activities we will be doing too over the weekend so vote of your intentions on what you wish to partake in The Outline of the day/s will be as follows: Meet by the frog jumping fountains at 09:00 am just inside the entrance if you wish to take advantage of the park's ERT. We will hover for 5 minutes whilst everyone gets together but then going off for ERT, if by any chance you happen to miss this meet point due to travel arrangements/ Cannot participate in ERT or just plain lateness you can phone or text so we can arrange to meet you.     The first part was my thoughts exactly when I made that the provisional date! As for the Sunday, I have no problems with this, apart from the fact that I don't really know the area and a quick google search hasn't turned up much to do locally I know that's probably a downside from you coming from so far away

    Hi everyone! Due to popular demand and current circumstances we have decided to add an extra meet this year to Dreamland Margate! Have looked through the diary and found two weekends a reasonable distance away from other meets; so the provisional date for this meet is Saturday the 30th July 2016. Because the two dates are so different the opening times of the park depend on which date (and even which day of each weekend) is chosen, so I will put these in the poll next to each option. The plan for the day! Park opens at 11am so we will meet outside the main entrance and ticket area at 10:15 to allow everyone to sort their tickets out. As soon as the gates open we will enter the park. I will hand out my number to everyone going so if you're running late please let me know and we'll arrange to meet you later, we won't wait! When we get in we will head on the rides, probably starting with the Scenic Railway At lunch (somewhere between 12 and 1) we will split off and go to eat where we want. After we will meet by the big wheel, before taking the group photo, and then continuing to do rides until the end of the day. As always with the meets we aim to stay together for the duration of the day, so if you don't want to do a certain ride or activity please be patient and wait, or go and do something else and arrange to meet us elsewhere afterwards. Also, everyone is welcome! If you're new, old, new to meets or a veteran of the forums, no one is uninvited. Please post here or PM me if you have any issues or questions or are a bit nervous, I can assure you we don't bite! Please also post or message me if you're attending, else I won't know you're coming! You are welcome to bring guests with you, though please let us know what their name is so I don't just write them here as 'Plus 1'. I will endeavour to keep the list here as up-to-date as possible.     Pretty sure I was like that. I hate drops so Mitchada04 didnt tell me it was going to happen... I clocked just as they were strapping up in and had a minor panic attack Never rode it again.

    Thanks, not bad for just my phone! Surprisingly I've seen Duel like that twice now, Scarefest last year (where the photo was from) and in March this year when I went up again

    The back of your calf going up to halfway up the lower section of your leg is your Achilles tendon (I know, I've had a lot of trouble with mine recently) and going by how you can't move it and can't put weight on it (your Achilles goes round to underneath your heel) it definitely sounds like that's where you've sprained it. You can get some good ibuprofen creams/gels (I use Voltarol Emulgel P) that will reduce most swelling within a few days, and a tubi grip bandage will do wonders as well by giving you extra support

    I believe it may have fallen off. Went around rumba on Friday and saw the old tanks and stuff were hidden in the bushes behind the tower you can see in that picture. One thing we did notice though, a really old sign had been placed at the entrance to the tunnel leaning against the wall as if it was only there temporarily, can't quite remember what it said but something about 'home/source of the currant'... Things did look like there had been a bit of a clean too!
