But then why would Thorpe say "6 new mazes"? If it's not mazes, they should not advertise it as that. Frankly, it sounds like they don't know what they are doing and still making decisions on what they can actually produce.
 
There's a reason why every other resort, park and entertainment place have advertised their line up already, and that's not to build tension. This is supposed to be a premier event in the UK, but it's acting like some half arsed, unplanned, shove lots of experience in at little cost and quality, and rely on the rides to bring people in. I think it's amazing they have brought the fan favorites back, so we'll see Big Top right, because that was more of a favorite than Blair witch, right? Or is it just poor marketing from the team... again. Hopefully this announcement will be spelling mistake free on the 11th, or when ever they decide.

The Big Top 16/17 was created in house by staff, who didn't return for 2018 season. Nothing to do with Thorpe not wanting to use them or not.

From what I understand Figaro Bros are some individuals who used to work at the park and have gone off to do their own thing - totally unrelated to The Big Top in that sense, there would be nothing contractual stopping them bringing it back.

So is it safe to assume this "reveal" means that there is no sign of the Big Top returning then?...... *golf clap* This looks like it's gonna be the first Fright Nights since 2008 where I'm not gonna bother going this year. The one and only thing left which drew me back to this event for the last couple of years is now likely gone.

Hit the nail on the head. Why BW, what was so amazing about it, that deserves it's returned? I am also getting annoyed at how people keep saying "a new maze" no, it's the return of a walk in the forest and a shed. 

It wouldn’t surprise me too much if it was as you say a lack of communication.  I’m just being optimistic haha

They definitely aren't markings for a tent. So... R.I.P. Big Top? ?
They look more like markings for shipping containers to me. Sanctum relocation maybe? 

Thankfully the 16/17 team had no involvement in Walking Dead related mazes :).   Platform 15 was tosh in 16, but that just rings to money related issues

And to think, that was only the first phase to Platform 15's reimagined, plan.

The Thorpe chavs tend to just use the exit bridge as an area to change, however I don’t think there are allocated changing rooms unless you use the toilets. Don’t quote me on it though as I’m not 100% sure!

That itself is enough to tell me, it's highly likely that it wont return. A lot of staff like to think they know what's going on, when in fact they know nothing. I can vouch, first hand with this. 
 
Like if studio 13 did return, where would it go?! Outside? haha.
 
As for the director stuff, it was around the last two years but never returned.  Just remember, Big Top started it's build in 5 days time, this time last year.
