It's a shame to see this thread so quiet. Does feel like the vibe of fright nights will be a lot less exciting this year

Thought: If it says "now the legacy begins" - perhaps it's ex-Thorpe employees/creatives/people that are starting their own horror mazes? That would make some sort of sense.

It’s not great that social media started posting about it if it’s got nothing to do with them. Also it’s kind of embarrassing for them that it’s actually better than anything they’ve managed to do officially. Even as far as planting references to it around the park since 2016.

First of all the site has no referencing to being "thorpe park owned" at all. People only assuming this, because Thorpe Park social media channels started dropping hints in posts and tweets including 0? etc. Yet they now say it's a scam and not them. Make your minds up thorpe. Jump on the band wagon, then jump off. Whats a scam? Currently it's not asked for any money or claimed to be thorpe park. Just linked two mazes from thorpe, which if you read posts here, link back to the company who own the site having worked on.

Being on two trains and stuck on the brake run for ages just defeats the point of two trains imo. that train should be ready to go once you leave the first brakes so it just keeps rolling in

In reality though, The Walking Dead The Ride is just a re-theme with miss-lead advertisement and Living Nightmare Extreme is what, more actors with 'new rooms'. More miss-leading advertisement?  And can there be any more less guests in the park than what there is now? MoS looked dead, £5 to upgrade to MoS too? sounds like they cant sell the tickets.

And the whole Walking dead stuff really, it'll kill the buzz for Fright Nights as everyone will have had enough of walking dead. The Tv series that is now dropping off. Investing into things that everyone would enjoy and not limiting your target group would have been the better option. I know quite a few families that have decided not to visit Thorpe because they think it's all 'Walking Dead' related. Yet it does have timber tug boat!

Indeed Saw Alive and I’m a celeb were built and intended to be run as year round attractions but are now seasonal. Feels like we keep having the same discussion, actor based attractions are not sustainable long term. How many times do they have to make the same mistake? 
They insist on yet another actor based attraction outside fright nights while two permanent attractions stand SBNO for most the season.
 
Even if Living Nightmare Extreme returns, Thorpe have screwed themselves for Fright Nights because this is what guests will expect from here on out. 

I just think Alton need to make sure they know their own rules before outing someone on social media over something that is technically allowed. Seeing as the attraction says at owners risk, the website permit unless stated at the ride and staff have seem to say yes. If they are going to start picking people out on social media, they best start with the making sure their rules clear.

Figaro Bros, the company, was formed in February 2018.
 
The Figaro Brothers, the characters of The Big Top, were introduced in the 2015 incarnation, which was also notoriously well known for including many Derren Brown Easter Eggs. The brothers were the Ringleader, Kenny the Clown and Big Baby. The Ringleader and Big Baby were characters within the maze. Kenny the Clown was a nod to Paul McKenna, a hypnotist who Derren once was friends with, but had a falling out with. The name Figaro came from the name of one of Derren's pet parrots, as did the name for Madame Mephisto. I believe the Ringleader, who had a bit of an Eastern European accent in adverts and announcements, was to be called Rasputin, after Derren's third parrots, but that was never formally announced... Anyway, I digress...
 
What it likely is is that this newly formed company is made up of a former employee(s) of Thorpe who has decided to work on their own projects now. They're probably using their work at Thorpe as an example to help get their exposure up. It happens regularly enough - people get experience at a large company, then use that experience and the contacts they make to start up their own company, or join a startup company, with a greater say in things.

Didnt suggest getting rid of the perk, or even the pre-season days, infact I said that these make sense to me. I dont understand the logic of closing down a ride to only pass holders when the park is open to the public and its already been launched and plastered all over the TV. 
 
Pre-seasons days, Fright night previews, pre-opening days of new rides and things like the eXpo are good. Its getting people into the park by saying "were open til 10pm" then if people buy tickets they find out that they can only get on the new ride they have seen on TV if they upgrade to a annual pass.... 
 
Thats what I'm trying to say. I dont believe that removing any benefits helps anyone but running TV adverts and having extended opening times to isolate some of your paying customers doesnt seem good business sense to me.

Combine the two... maybe it's the final goodbye for Saw: Alive before it comes another WD attraction? Remove the blood written words, take the dolls out, stick some walkers in there, sorted!

They were all repaired before the opening of 2017 season. Their current state, who knows now. The 2016-2017 SS team had plans to continue the repairs to the park wide audio during 2018. Let's hope the new team will have the drive to keep on top of it.

My bet is, it was running on 2 trains and the host got the number of headsets available on the two carriages mixed up. Two trains means a long wait between batches.
