  1. Tulley's Shocktober Fest Scream Park 2017

I feel Tulleys is more intense as well, and I didn't experience a touch scare once last year at Thorpe. The lack of actors at Thorpe means mazes are often long and drawn out without any real scares, whereas Tulleys is full of actors hiding around every corner, creating an onslaught of scares.
  2. Park Operations

I believe the delay is caused by disorder on the part of the employees. The last time I went through the bag check I spent most of the time waiting for the employees to finish their conversation before poking my bag with a stick and waving me through.
  3. Park Operations

Am I hearing a new entrance being developed which interacts with a brand new B&M Hyper? No probably not.

When it's only a mild shock out of the blue it scares you. And they are scare attractions.
  5. Park Music

Today was my first visit since the update to the lost city soundtrack, and despite my initial feelings of 'nothing can improve that music' and 'I'm never visiting any Merlin park ever again', the new music seems to breathe new life into the area and makes it feel much more alive. It seemed refreshed and lively compared to past experiences. Colossus on the other hand...
  6. Fright Nights 2017

Saw that at the park today. Looked as if the floor was either complete or almost complete and the frames of the tents seemed to be going up pretty fast.
  7. Thorpe Ticket Kiosks

If all tickets are through the AP building I assume it will be quicker at Advance Collections?
  8. Thorpe Ticket Kiosks

Just wondering if the ticket kiosks at the park are still operating normally, as I saw a post a few weeks back which said something about the security checks taking up the kiosks and that tickets were being sold elsewhere. Also, to get the discounted tickets with a regular Thorpe Annual Pass, they are purchased as if buying normal tickets, correct? Thanks
  9. Merlin Entertainments

That is true. If I'm correct the Busch parks bring in a lot of profit due to Tampa being all year round.
  10. Merlin Entertainments

Yay even less money for the Merlin parks which are already struggling with a lack of staff
  11. Tulley's Shocktober Fest Scream Park 2017

Incredibly speculative, but I wonder if the 'The Village' part could possibly link to a new section of the maze featuring an open village rather than just a linear maze. Again, purely an ambitious idea.
  12. Tulley's Shocktober Fest Scream Park 2017

Seems Pandemonium has been replaced with another carnival themed maze. Hopefully 'The Twisted Clowns' won't feature the ridiculous 3D effects in Pandemonium last year. Interesting name for the new maze, however. I assume this is the official name and not a codename, but what does it mean? It's not in standard roman numeral format which is what it seems to be. It is a Latin word which links to the theme: first-person singular perfect active indicative of vīvō "I have lived, I lived" "I have been alive, I was alive, I have survived, I survived" "I have resided in, I resided in" Also waiting for the website to be updated with the new info.

    Colossus has a new theme?
  14. 2017 Season General Discussion

Either the plans fell through or Thorpe will throw something together last second, true Merlin style.
  15. Headphone recommendations

I got the Sennheiser HD 518 and they are great. Clear sound from bass, mids and highs, as well as a wide soundstage due to the open back. If you want to spend a bit more the HD 558 are a good idea as well.
