Europa Park

Construction Period: 9 months from todayCapacity: 18,000 guests a day (circa 1,800 per hour) - how is this possible I am asking, given that Troy gets less than 1,000.

How the hell does this happen? No planning application required in Germany then! We could never have a surprise announcement like this in the UK. Shame. As for the throughput, has anyone ever built a 4 seat wide woodie? Would it even be possible with the weight on a wooden structure? Pretty much double your throughput if you could.

Indeed. Although Europa-Park do have a fair bit of space, they can't just plonk coasters wherever. Obviously all the coasters with exception to Alpenexpress and the Bobsleigh (but these are quieter anyway) are on the non-village side of the park. I actually love the way EP are totally integrating this coaster into the rest of the park. Linking it with Atlantica and Blue Fire is a great idea!

The layout for this new Woodie looks brilliant from those model views, wonder if they will make up a virtual pov for it? The other thing I love about it is how it's going (in my opinion) to make Blue Fire and Atlantica's ride experiences better with those headchoppers, as well as it looking great! That's the thing I love about Europa Park, they don't just build a ride and then leave it until it's time comes to go, they constantly add and improve them as much as possible and little things like that all add up to making it one of the worlds best looking theme parks. I'm still left wondering how they are going to hit that massive capacity number though, I can't see a MCBR straight section on any of the models, although there could be one hidden somewhere... But who know's, Mack have probably got some amazing idea up their sleeve of how the capacity is going to work, just like the way they invented the spiral lift etc.

Just fantastic to see this sort of communication for enthusiasts from EP. It's rare in Europe for this to happen, although it is more common in the States.Yet so many, many people have never been to EP! I say to anyone: Make it a priority every season.

Edited for truth. :P
