Sickening. I love it <3

There's no point in me even commenting my opinion on this coaster anymore as it's always going to be positive.

EDIT - I just watched the video again, and noticed this which I probably should have listened to before. This thing will be amazing.

They also said something about the wheel will only turn while a car is being pulled up the lift hill, and it'll stop again once the car is released, or something like that.

Reports are suggesting Baron is to open on July 1st:

Seven and a half weeks. Then we can first take a ride in Baron 1898 Efteling's newest attraction. The spectacular vrijevalachtbaan is currently scheduled to open on Wednesday, July 1st, 2015, report different sources Looopings.

That is exactly five years after George and the Dragon wooden coaster was inaugurated. In the days given for the official opening Efteling staff, journalists, guests and award winners a foretaste of the Baron. Efteling has the exact opening date of the dive coaster always kept secret until now. Did mention a poster on a German tourism fair in March 1898 already that Baron would be open "from July 2015" . "We naturally strive for an opening in the early summer" , responded a spokeswoman at the time. The next few weeks are used for making test runs, the adjustment of the track and the programming of the show effects in the station building. They want at all costs to prevent the attraction is not yet completely finished as the first visitors step inside. The first ride took place last Friday. Also this weekend there is plenty tested. Many workers do not celebrate Mother's Day, even on Sundays the train flew several times through the course.

Cheapest way is to drive there - very easy to eurotunnel and then drive (about 2.5hrs after reaching france). I stayed on their on-site hotel which is very reasonably priced.

You'll easily cover the park on two days. I got a bit bored after the first day really, and just spent the second day constantly reriding their quality rides.

2 days is enough, though not sure how the place deals with crowds (I'm led to believe the answer is not well)...

Depends how long you spend in the Fairytale Forest of Forever as well...

If you wanna fly, either Rotterdam or Amsterdam are the options for you... If you get connections right, probably takes over an hour to get from the airport to the park via trains and buses, which are both regular from Tilburg or s'Hertonbosch...

Yeah I do agree on the length, a Baco-style show before the lift would have worked so well!

Might sound weird but I can't wait to hear what sound effects they're going to use on the lift hill but also at the top. I see there's a bell there which I guess will ring as it glides slowly along the top? Hopefully there'll be a cool sound for when the chain releases on the drop though!
