Most of Londonders probably just want to get to A to B. Secondly, who cares if its broken down? Probably the people that want to get somewhere but missed the double decker that passed them two minutes ago.I'm sure everybody wanted a routemaster that doesn't run at night, doesn't run the full length of its bus route and doesn't have a conductor past 7pm which actually defeats the point of the thing in the first place and I'm sure Londoners are happy to have lost the higher capacity bendy bus for the lower capacity (and less of them to boot) double deckers.But as you say it showcases London and all for only increasing Oyster fees by nearly 100% and paying 1.2 million per bus.
