Mattgwise
Yes I remember that being the case. But it's been able to sit there red and yellow for a ridiculously long time since it was put up with no issue. That's what is a bit daft.

Why do they throw money away on that thing when they barely have enough to open their own rides? 🤨 Inferno
Inferno
sik. It's so odd to think that construction on this finished BEFORE the likes of Texas Stingray and Max&Mortiz opened, and over 6 months before even F.L.Y opened. Those rides feel like old news now. They have really taken their time with this coaster! It can't be much longer, can it?
MattyMoo
What's the sik reference exactly, or just a typo? Obvs JCK SLKSTN & Co. love a "sick", is it a Merlin dig? 😮

Thank the lord for Paultons Park.
Matt N
As it turns out, the "sik" from Flamingo Land's last tweet was not a jab at Merlin or a typo... it was actually a hint towards the ride's name, as the ride is being called Sik, in honour of local clothing brand SikSilk: https://www.gazettelive.co.uk/whats-on/whats-on-news/new-flamingo-land-roller-coaster-24104725 It's... original, I guess! I'm not a huge fan, if I'm being honest, but I'm sure it'll grow on me over time. Names tend to sound weird at first and then stick a bit more as time goes on. ThorpeAddict
Bizarre name not a fan of that. Must admit though I'm exited to ride this, being a fan of Colossus. Also seems strange that they've spent £18m on this but absolutely no marketing whatsoever? Crazy amount of money to spend on a ride that no one knows about Inferno
Inferno
POV looks good! 'Sik' though? How strange. Is this one of those Merlin-style weird marketing stunts from 15 years ago, to get people talking? Matt N
