In other news, 9 days till Colossus is legal for those of you who take their love for coasters to the next level ;)

Legal to drive, but nothing else. Fairly meaningless anniversary

Thorpe Park remembering this guy's celebrating 10 years today:

Can't help but to think back to all the buildup for the ride and then finally riding it for the first time and...

and...

Considering it the best coaster at the park for me. I love the horror theming on it. Just hope new additions are happier to balance out the doom and gloom attractions already at the park.

Whats actually scarier is that we had 4 coasters in 10 years.... now we have had 1 in ten years.....

sums up the investment and overall feel of the park of late

There's quite a few effects broken on Saw currently;

  • Shotgun sound effect not working properly
  • No lighting/animation on the swinging axes
  • No lighting on the crossbows
  • No water on the body underneath the barrel roll

I'm pretty sure these were all broken on the annual pass preview day (nearly two months ago)... poor.

The Saw IP was very recently renewed and will be at the park for the foreseeable future.

And given there's another reboot of the franchise next year, the park would be stupid to get rid of it this year.

More Saw films? Who the hell asked for more of those?

I'm glad the IP is sticking around though as the theming is currently quite good for Merlin and a retheme would probably spoil it a little.

Probably the creators themselves after checking in on their box office income...

I find it funny they're asking the GP for ideas. Just sums up Thorpe right now - they're so undecided about what to do with the place.

When did they ask anyone for ideas? They asked a question on Facebook... they do it all the time...

The Swarm feedback point attached to the side of the shop says hi

Probably better off if they ask Theme Park Talkwide for ideas.. Or even the GP.. Isn't like IAC or Angry Birds were the most smart of IP choices 😉
