The Swarm

Managed to get on 16 times today! Must say the improved water jet by the helicopter is excellent! Easy to get people behind you drenched if you put your hand out and hit the water! Shame the jets near the fire engine are so out of time. Also they set a record today, it was for the most people on The Swarm in an hour and the record is now 1260! Congrats to the staff on it! Queue never got bigger than 20 mins all day with it mainly being around 5-10 mins!

Have to say all day yesterday they were releasing the train in the station as the other one was flying through the station inline. I actually heard a staff member saying what would happen if it reached the top of the lift hill before the other train was back in the station. 1260 is brilliant for a new ride at Thorpe and smashing the projected 1100pph. Keep it up Thorpe Park for the peak season :D

Wow! 16 times, maximum queue time 20 minutes?! And it was Bank Holiday!

This is great to hear, I hope the park keep this up, especially during the busy periods such as summer and Fright Nights. Well done to the staff for setting a new record too!

Great to hear about the improvements to the water effects too (well not the ones that are out of time!).

Anyone have any idea what's happening about the onride DVDs? :P Also how is the timing with the ORPs these days? Must be sorted by now!

That picture looks awesome; very excited also to see the LEDs finally used. Do people think that it will be a short sharp burst of flame to create a fireball or do they think it will be drawn out so that it continues for the whole length of the train to pass? Assuming that it is triggered by an oncoming train which I hope it is ^_^

I'm actually shocked and pleased that they have gone to the effort of getting the fire effect working. IMO, Thorpe seem to be doing a better job than the other UK parks at 'park extras', especially if they are attempting to get Tidal's fire effect working by next season too - it's something not heard of very often by the parks recently.

Anyone else think it will come quite close to the left-side of the train too - closer than expected?
