  1. Build it underground as part of the volcano - that would work really well next to NI - it could be a large crater.Expensive, I know - but a really good idea imoSteam/Mist machines too...

Oh, great idea... the paving bricks could go all edgy and break up, looking like the volcano has been pushed up from beneath the ground.
  2. Launch Towers need to be fairly tall (130ft-ish) to work well. Which isn't possible due to planning permission, and would over-shadow Detonator.

Then just bury it slightly, make a pit if you like... and have it reach 35m again.
  3. She could be surviving in a home somewhere... Sightings have been made, and IMO I think she is still alive, but whether they'll find her or not is another thing. The thing I'm gonna rant about: TPM Forum. Here, you can't have any idea or concept without it being slagged off by unfriendly mods etc. You can't have a suggestion for anything without it being uber-realistic [boring].I thought this was a forum where people could share their ideas on rollercoasters and the entertainment industry, but all it seems to be is a bunch of people who all think the same thing, which means that there is practically no interesting, and diverse conversation going on around here. The constant 'in-jokes' are all well and good, but they make it near-impossible for newbies to join and interact with others.

  4. It's not nessecerily going to be a prototype though...

But if Alton follow their whole: "Wowsa, I've never seen that done before," thing they do with the Secret Weapons, then it will probably be a whole new concept, which would require a prototype somewhere.
  5. below vertical first drop designed by Bolliger and Mabilliard.

Owww, my head hurts after that stupidity...I hate how this ride is compared to Speed. Yes, they are both beyond verticle usw usw, but Saw is themed, and more open, and those are the factors which make it better IMO.
  6. yeah, you're right. Its a prototype coaster. and so is air I think....

Which is why I'm not looking forward to the next SW... it might be tamer than it could possibly be, and it's potential is lost.As for oblivion, I think it is a good ride, but now, the theming is just so boring. I know they won't, but Alton should really invest a year into turning this area into a clean cut, futuristic setting, because at the moment, it looks so bland, and 'fifties lab.' *yawn*
  7. Love the ride - one of the best. Its adrenalin rush is second to none, and I love how the queue build up the suspense as it creeps around the tower. But it's the space next to it which gets on my nerves... Just fill it with another powered launch TP!! Would be great IMO.

  8. I'm actually quite lucky; my largest ever has been 90 mins for Samurai this Summer [got a bit burnt]Most of my other queues have been either walk on, or less than 40 mins...Oh, The Asylum on Fright Night was the usual, like, an hour and a half {correct me if I'm wrong - the time just flew by with anticipation, but then it was... meh.}

  9. Oh no, another **** post from Gareth. Really? As far as I'm aware, random images posted in the random thread is acceptable.

Oh, but when they're in a normal post, they are as well?
  10. I don't go for High-end labels. A five pound hoody from Primark and a tenner on BHS jeans will do me fine ta.

Even then - Primark will look to the designers, but create designs which are easier to make etc... Like, those buffalo check shirts which were all over Primark recently - those came from the checks trend/lumberjack trend. The high-end labels control all. There is no escape.
  11. Just for Gareth seeing as I didn't get to post before the topic got deleted, I would still have clothes if there wasn't articles about clothes. Without shops in my town centre I wouldn't be wearing clothes.. do you really think clothes in Vogue are aimed at me?

No, but all high street brands look at the designers for inspiration. They want their products to be sold to the public, and to have fashionable clothes on offer, would mean a greater profit. Who decides what is fashionable? Forecasters. Who do they tell? High-End Labels. Where do they present their produce? The Catwalk. And it is from there where the highstreet brands and the magazines look at.eg: Prada @ Autumn/Winter 2008 - They presented lace in a gothy way, and used very elegant, traditional, black lace. Days later, this and more, such as Gareth Pugh's 'Uber-Goth' style, were seen in Vogue, Style, ELLE and more. Only weeks later, did the Goth-Chic style appear radically instore of most notable high-street stores. The same happened with Checks, radically, and military a couple of seasons back.I also agree with how generic River Island looks. While trappers are kinda kooky, they, much like Ray-Bans, have been overworn. I always internally laugh out loud when I walk past a River Island Card Holder... {You can tell, with the over done, everything XDDD eg. waistcoat, pinstripe shirt, parker, trapper + oversized beanie [wth?!?], workers jeans, skinny tie, patent white leather trainers, and chunky watch. For me, clothes are kinda important.
  12. I think there will be a vid on the 25th of december. it would be cool if it was like jigsaw saying "you are all at home with family and freinds eating drinking but all is about to change," then shows some of the scenes in the building. that would be cool :D .

It would be...I kinda wanna know what I, and the rest of Britain has done to piss off Jigsaw though... XD
