I did get an email in the end.. I have been invited to a Thorpe Park assesment centre & interview when they start to recruit in June to work in Summer 2010. I'm really happy with this
-
um, it's been 43 days, haha! That's including the Christmas break and snow days though.if you haven't herd nothing after 14 days then leave it a few more days as if you haven't got nothing after 14days then your bound to get a phone call
-
Hmm, some people got the "successful" emails ages ago, now it looks like they are sending out the rejection ones. I'll wait a bit longerThey usually email out the rejections first, then contact those who were successful.
-
Nope.Have you not heard anything since January ?
-
No rejection email, no interview tab. The wait is intense, although, I can probably guarantee that I haven't got it now.

I LOVE the Colossus start announcement, It only played on one of my rides in the 2009 season, and whilst reciting the words to my friend sitting next to me, I got some very weird looks leaving the station, haha. I really want them to fix that for the 2010 season, and use the 2006 announcement.I really wish the dispatch theme for Nemesis Inferno was not played around the area! - Connection problem I take it.Also, it would be nice to hear the Colossus Start Announcement actually played at the park.I think it is meant to play when the last restraint is locked but unsure.
-
I wish they would update with things actually relevant to Thorpe Park and what they are doing to the park, how recruitment is doing (would be good for those applying to work in 2010), little hints about new things planned for the new season etc. Would be alot more entertaining than polls about social networking sites.Facebook not website but will post here...Why have Thorpe Park done a status saying:"Facebook wins again - So how about Twitter vs Bebo?"What relevance has that really got to do with Thorpe Park?
-
"Both sites are closed on Friday 8th of January due to the sites being unsafe."
-
No specific department, because they ask you to put in order of preference what dept you woul like to work for.. I put1) R&A2) Customer Service3) F&B4) RetailI then got 2 emails stating they will reply in the new year, after the 4th of January because thats when Recruitment get back after christmas! What Dept you apply for ? as some dept's wont be taking peeps until late feb/ early march

I'm dreading the email that says I have/havn't got an interview - I really want this job!I'll be seeing anyone that goes to thorpe for 2010
-
Has anybody properly applied now that they have put the 2010 jobs up?
-
They was working fine for my two goes yesterday, what time did you go on the ride?Yesterday the swinging blades where not working, (everything has a little chance of going wrong now and then). I was in the que for about 1 hour 30 mins, for my very first ride on saw, I also thought it was a bit weird how jigsaw is only in the ride right at the end as a little doll ( not very big ), apart from the video that not every one gets to see.

They played the 2006 start announcement on sunday! I was so happy to hear it and started reciting all the words, got some right funny looks from the queue line as we left the station, haha!
-
Because I want to know, haha. He made me laugh when he said something to a girl who took her shoes off and put them infront of the swing.Whats his name?
-
Does anyone know the name of the operator that was operating Rush yesterday morning/afternoon?, he had longish blonde hair.
-
We queued for about 3 minutes today, we ran straight over to Saw and got straight on - it got up to about 60mins.

For me, Detty is possibly the ride I'm most scared of going on. The feeling when you get strapped in then you start going up and thinking ''I dont want to do this anymore!'' and knowing the only way down is to be dropped is horrible, for me it feels like its NEVER going to stop and its just going to keep dropping until you crash through the floor.. whoa! It always leaves my stomach in the air, but its a ride that I HAVE to go on whenever I go to Thorpe!

Stealth opened yesterday about 3:45/4pm. This was once Saw had closed - they then opened Stealth and that had a 3 hour queue. Then they re-opened Saw after fixing the problem. We was told at the fastrack desk that Stealth and Samurai would have been closed all day.. I had a feeling that Steatlh would open that day - and I was right. It turns out the lady was wrong and got Samurai and Slammer mixed up. Slammer was closed all day.
-
3 Hours 45 Mins. But we were in the queue when it broke down, they then re-started it and we got on.. our car was the last to go and then they shut it down for about 30 mins/1 hour when they opened stealth.
-
Quite shocking.. no actors in the queue line today.Went on saw for my first time (2 times) today and it was amazing, loved it! It was so smooth and very unexpected things happen! Saw was open for the morning, and stealth was shut, Saw closed due to technical difuculties and they opened Stealth, issued everyone Exit passes to use and then opend Saw again after everyone had used their exit passes on stealth - Alot of complaining was probably done.Great day and a great coaster!
-
Thanks, picking up my Annual pass and getting UFT. So I'm really excited! !Well I hope you have a great time (busy) but great time! I hope everything is running for you!
-
So is the Fastrack queue line open...? Were going tomorrow and we have Ultimate - Will we be able to get in the fastrack queue?Last I saw, they were £1.50...There are people saying Fastrack would be useful now. So, they think it is a good idea for about a quarter of those people to buy Fastrack tickets, so they can get on it about 2 hours quicker, and leave people in the normal queue waiting for at least half an hour longer... (Plus, at £4 a pop, I really don't see the point...)
-
Whoa! You nearly gave me a heart attack, lol! We have had this trip planned for so long, so I hope all the rides are open! No! just joking lol
-
Erm sorry but, are they really unavailable? I'm going tomorrow..That is a great idea for Thorpe! Due to popular demand SAW, Stealth and Rush are currently unavailable

That happened to us too, it was in the Mausoleum Trap room, the girl made us jump and we backed against the wall making the door swing open - a man was standing there putting a pair of trousers on shouting "GET OUT GET OUT!" haha
