  1. Also, I don't know if it's just me, but I've noticed a considerable difference in the general friendliness of staff since Merlin bought Tussauds. Every time I go now, it seems that every member of staff's main priority is to make sure you have a great day. No-one ignores you, and everyone tries to do everything they can to make sure you have a memorable day, and remain happy. Which is what I love to see :D!

Oh yea I definitely agree on that, staff are really helpful and seem more enthusiastic about the job. Alfonso fan club on facebook :).
  2. Have Thorpe Park stopped selling the SAW syringe pens? It's just that on Tuesday I couldn't find any in the SAW Store, The Thorpe Mega Store, or anywhere else for that matter. I know that many schools across the country have banned the pens, so I didn't know if Thorpe Park had stopped selling them.

Seriously? Those schools must suck, our teachers generally thought they looked cool, a couple weren't too impressed when people were pretending to shoot up in lessons but they wouldn't ban them.Thought it would be best to mention here, I had some chavs behind us queuing for saw, they were noisy gits, they were like 13 smoking, trying to start on us until I pushed one back and he tripped over his friend (they shut up then and just grunted a bit) but they were staring at these girls infront of us who were like 12 or 13, I'm 15 so I noticed their pretty faces and 'potential' but they were perverted little *****s. The tallest one who was about 15 as well I think, hadn't hit puberty so that was funny as well but no word of a lie, they actually spat at the people in the fast track queue, we were so close to turning round and beating the scrawny little ****s up.
  3. Same, and I think you get a better view going forwards on the right side.

It's nicer looking down but on the other side, looking across at stealth and nemesis looks brilliant.
  4. First time I haven't been straight in and first on saw but the rides we got in:Nemesis inferno x4 (small queues and we needed to look for my phone I lost on ride after as well so we got 2 rides in just before 7, didn't find my phone though ;) )Colossus x2Saw x1Stealth x2Detonater x1Vortex x1Samurai x1Slammer x2Rush x2Tidal wave x1

  5. Nemesis and Inferno are two VERY similar B&M inverters. It's great that Merlin are putting a lot of effort into Thorpe, effects on Nemesis: Inferno being renewed, speeding up Nemesis and I think other rides (Nemesis feels great now with the extra push). Saw is a big hit and I've heard (not sure how reliable the source is) that Colossus could be in store for a repainting, the theming and coaster itself has definitely seen better days and the rust and wear on the paint doesn't look nearly as good as it did back in '02.

  6. I couldn't be bothered before but on sundayride countSaw - 3Stealth - 2Nemesis Inferno - 1Colossus - 2Rush - 1Samurai - 1Zodiac - 1 (mate thought it looked cool, I had a minute long sleep on it)Tidal wave - 1Detonater - 1Rumba rapids - 1Loggers leap - 1Coasters averaged about an hourTidal wave was like 40 mins even though the stupid Q said 75 minsFlats were around 30-40 mins at worst, we went when they were about 20, 10 for Detonater :)

  7. To be honest, I think 3 hours + is a little extravagent, I would think probably maximum of 2 hours during the day. Thorpe Park are expecting a lot of visitors, therefore will hopefully run the ride to full capacity, resulting in reduced queuing times.

It was 2 and a half hours yesterday (friday), it will be a hell of a lot worse in the opening week of the easter holidays.
  8. now that the kids are off school, does anyone know what the queue times are like

horrific, saw will attrack thousands, expect 3 hours + for saw after lunch.

I'm really confused, because on the thorpe park website it says all the rides are closed, but I'm suppose to be going on tuesday and I dont want to go there and find its all closed. so anyone who is there today could you reply back to say whether the rides are open or not.Thanksjjh123horry:-)P.S. are any of you going on tuesday as well. And what is the average queue time for SAW??Thanks

They won't all be down and Saw Queue line will likely go over 3 hours, go at the very start of the day and wait for it to open for 40 minutes or go at the end and queue for an hour, in the day you'll want to go on other rides.
  9. You shouldn't have to pay to get on a ride quickly, the park should be running the ride to full capacity and motivating their staff to achieve the highest throughputs possible, especially with the current popularity of Saw.All fastrack does is make a dent in your wallet and hold up the main queue.

I agree with this, fast track is pointless for saw, so many people would buy them and eliminate the idea of the fast bit, it ruins queueing for the main queue as well, I'd rathet not pay extra for some fast tracks, the whole point in my annual pass is that I pay very little when going to thorpe park.
  10. I was right behind you! standing by the bin  you didnt happen to see a guy with a camera round his neck? thats yours truly. :)When we were let in for once I went round the whole queue line, my god its like a maze. I didnt know there was like a zigzag racecourse at the back. lol

Lol yea I think I remember, grey top yea? I was the only one out of the people I was with in shorts.

I think I saw you aswell, I was wearing a black and white hoodie with black drainpipes, we were very close to the front, my mate was wearing grey jeans with a red hoodie but we left when they said they were not sure when it would open.

Were you behind 3 girls sitting down waiting? they were from my school as well lol, was over 40 people from year 10 at our school there.
  11. It was an infill of a lake, that was submitted on April the 1st, not sure how somebody could actually beleive that tbh :P

Just to let everyone know, SAW now has an LED sign saying the queue time and all effects are working, I still cannot belive I queued 85mins for it today.EDIT: Anyone know the reason why they were taking the Fastrack enterance sign down today?

Whilst you were in the queue for saw I bet I got in a good 5+ rides, every other ride was near enough empty :D

SAW didn't open till around 10:45 due to regular maintenence, according to one of the saw staff, tom I think his name was.. the engineers are there at 5am but cannot test the ride due to the temperature.

Wow, were you behind me or something? I was literally 4th into the park and ran to Saw but we let 8 others from our school who were also there go ahead so we got the second train which is better. It was Tom and they said 5am about the engineers, they came in and examined the fence before it actually got working. We went on first and then whilst the queue line was massive throughout the day we went on all the other decent rides and then came and queued for about 55 mins for Saw at quater to 5.
  12. Went today, Saw opened at about 10:42, we were literally the first in and we legged it to Saw straight away, went twice today at the start (second cart as there was 15 of us but it's better anymore, you see more of the puppet) and the queue was something like 3 hours long most of the day whilst we enjoyed the 5 minute nemesis inferno queues and other good rides all with queues under 30 minutes thanks to Saw's popularity. Stealth didn't open until about 12 but other than that every main ride in the park was up the whole time, very good day. I was freexing in shorts in the morning but it got a lot warmer in the afternoon and I was fine once we were in the park pretty much, just standing around waiting for the annual pass office to open to get mine was pretty freezing.
