  1. True true :PThe theme is quite good but not really ride music, most definately not queue music!!I'm hoping the queue music will be kinda quiet atmospheric music, with the occasional burst of the official theme; now THAT would be really good.

  2. SEMI-RELIABLE SPOILER :P

Over on Southparks there's talk of some sort of dead body effect which squirts you with 'blood' as the car passes; within the building. However there is speculation that H&S are getting stressy over it.

Not exactly concrete, just thought you might want to know :P

  3. However, on the floorplan of the ground floor, you can see how close the main queue corridor actually gets to the track, which they would have kept to. Therefore I can't see them having much space to play with on the ground floor. upstairs, however is another matter.

  4. Just something I threw together with a few floor plans/concepts, more for my own understanding than anything else :P Quite interesting how there doesn't seem to be much indoor queue at all :P The initial ground floor corridor is a 2-people wide, enclosed space; so it'll be interesting to see what they've come up with.http://dc104.2shared.com/download/5016727/...111310-6eae7b64Original plans, courtesy Thorpe Park Guide:http://www.thorpeparkguide.com/2009/photos/plan4.jpghttp://www.thorpeparkguide.com/2009/photos/plan12.jpg :P

  5. Going by other pictures, it looks like the screen is positioned on the block breaks before the lift; it is on the wrong side of the building to be that near to the queue line.correct me if I'm wrong :PI'm too slow to reply! :P

  6. I think the shop looks good although it could do with some plants/theming directly around it to ease it into the area; as it looks a bit like its just fallen from the sky onto the ground :)And the tunnel thing, I completely understand that something is required to shelter people from possible falling stuff, but the idea of a 'tunnel' I think really brings down the scale of the area. Its like theres this whole island, and one enclosed tunnel thing to get on and off of it :).

  7. Surely this is the only ride at Thorpe where the theme benefits from the presence of chavs :D (if they're going for the neglect abandoned look 'n' all ;))Nope there are plans on some site I saw the other day for how the shop is going to be themed, it's going to be brown with writing of some sort (tba) on the side you'll see when you enter the island.

Any chance of a link to that site? Havent seen any pics of theming on the shop :D

The 'blue hut' is the basis for the shop. As you can see from this photo, a more permanent roof has been put on, soon to be followed by walls.

They're putting walls around the shop? :D Surely that defeats the whole point of using porta-kabins for the shop?
  8. Nice pictures Freddy!!I'm only on no. 28 and there's evidence of mist coming from the car exit of the building and the footers for the windmill ;)Oh and the test-seat has been installed :]But seriously the cars climb the lift tower so slow ;)

  9. Anyone know, is the indoor section actually divided by walls and themed, or just a big dark empty space, a la X:/nwo?Also that Colossus path looks like it could open by mid season!? Once it's flattened paving doesn't take long at all surely?Building looks a lot better close up & from ground level than it does in all the 'across-lake' photos, much less box like :(

  10. I still don't understand why they'd bother getting married there when it isn't finished, especially if they didn't even ride it :( they were probably only allowed on site as a publicity stunt; and yes that photo is of the block brakes before the lift :( strange people..haha :/

  11. I think it would be good to have the main Saw theme in all outside areas of the ride. But when you go into the inside of the building the experience starts really. I would love it if they used this ( http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=R0Aw0gWQKxw ) theme for the inside queue with the bass really loud. The acctual copy of this music is far more bassy! I believe that track would create the right atmosphere for the inside corridors.Edit: Another track good to go with the saw theme on the outside queues would be this: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=AY-tdrV3WEA

First one sounds a bit bland, but the second one would work really well on the inside; along with the original theme around the outside of the station
