  1. Really strange question, but has anyone heard Michael Buble's 'Cry Me A River' *youtube link to the song*I recognise the first 15-20 seconds; and I'm 99% sure that I recognise them from thorpe park. However I have no idea what ride/area music it is? I was thinking Colossus, but maybe its samurai or rush, or something totally different? And maybe I'm being stupid and the music isn't from thorpe at all :)

  2. I was at Busch Gardens in Florida over Christmas and you'll never guess what I saw. Pirates 4D! It was exactly the same film and glasses and it reminded me how bad it is!EDIT: I just looked for a link to it, to find out it closed recently. What a shame, maybe we've lost the Pirates 4D forever - worldwide xD

  3. on 23rd October, I had the worst luck ever. First, I had a rollback on stealth, then restraints wouldn't open on slammer so I couldn't get off. Then I was stuck on Saw until almost midnight on the brakes just before going into the station. Got an extra go on saw though :(

On the 23rd October 09, stealth wasn't open :( . At least I don't think - I left at 8pm and it had been shut all day
  4. I can't believe that over their busiest time of the year (possibly) - Fright Nights - they would have one of their main rides closed. I suppose they can't help it if it breaks but I'd be suprised if they weren't trying to get it fixed for the weekend/half term/Halloween weekend.

  5. This is probably a rumor but I heard that X No Way Out may be moving to inside the Black Hole tent at Alton...? I wonder if this means anything?

And I read somewhere that X:// No Way Out was being replaced by dark family coaster like a wild mouse or something, but I think it might have just been a rumour :/ Sounds unlikely tbh

An inside, wild mouse in the dark. Sounds incredibly similar to Disney's Space Mountain coaster in Florida. Which means it isn't impossible to build, just very unlikely.
  6. If you think the queues will be long, and they turn out not to be, you'll be happy. But if you underestimate and they're long, you'll be dissapointed.Basically, allways over-estimate the queues and you'll never be dissapointed. :P

  7. I went to the John Lewis event last night which had all the fright night theming, mazes and such and it was amazing - there were something like 3000 people there, and most queues were walk on, longest I was in was 20 mins for SAW. The only dissapointing thing though was 'SAW - The Ride comes alive', it was hardly worth advertising as a whole new FN attraction, it was basically actors dressed up as these pig things (probably something from the SAW movies, but I wouldnt know, I havent seen them ) that walked up and down the Fasttrack queue staring at you through the chainlink fence :/ I havent been on SAW previous to this, but there didnt seem to be anything that wouldnt have been there before, nothing extra special about the ride from what I could see. Perhaps it'll be different today, but from what I experienced, it wasnt much Great ride though The Inferno tunnel was looking amazing, blue lights and plenty of fog, much better than I've seen before! The only maze I went in was the Asylum, with a slight layout change since last year but still has the scary atmosphere. I dont know how it compares to the other mazes though. In a way, I sort of felt sorry for a lot of the staff in the mazes last night - especially the one on Neptunes Beach (sorry, dont know the name!), there wasnt anyone in the queue most of the time. Same applies for most of the smaller rides like Flying Fish etc., personally, I'd have gotten pretty bored operating rides like that last night, most people were heading for the larger stuff. I think it's actually possible to have too few people at the park, I had done most of the rides in only 4 hours. I'd rather queue for 15 or 20 minutes or so to get on a rollercoaster than get on straight away, you lose the suspense and anticipation otherwise. I'm not complaining though, getting on straight away is still better than waiting over an hour I guess Overall, great night. On par, if not better than last year.

This is taken from the Fright Night's thread. I think the SAW sounds quite boring, hope they'll do more on it, especially for half term.
  8. I guess there was always the incident involving the old enterprise at Thorpe...Oh and Rush. But I personally feel slightly less safe at a funfair than in an established park.

What happened on the old enterprise? I've never heard of this... :angry2:
  9. My least favourites are Colossus during the last five inversions - not unsafe, just uncomfortable, and Samurai, which just seems to click around a lot. When Samurai does a big swing downwards with all your weight resting on the restraint, the restraint just seems to move around a lot! I'm an Inferno fanboy so obviously gonna say they're the best ones! If anyone here's been on TTD at Cedar Point, can they shed some light on how unsafe it must feel on the way down with only lapbars!

Posted ImageThis only has lapbars :angry2: Now THAT'S unsafe :)I personally don't feel unsafe in any restraints at Thorpe - but never been on Rush becuase I'm not too sure about only having the tiny bar to keep you in!
  10. Well I dont know why I'm asking the price anyways??? B) as I'd pay anything lol.. Hope they give you the video in Digital Format, like they do if you pay them £2 on top of ride photos.. Thanks James (:

So if you pay £2 extra you get the photo digitally? Like on a photo CD or somthing?
