  2. Hmmm, apart from Tidal Wave I am finding it difficult to believe the rest for the following reason.Saw: The ride has always been busy even on quiet days - Were yiu the last person in the queue and had to go in a seperate car?Slammer - As others have mentioned it needs to be balancedSamurai - I am sure they don't operate with any less than 15 people (unless testing in which case it is 0 people)Only ride I have been on alone was X:\\ No way out in April this year.

SAW - The Ride: Everybody was queueing for the back car for some reason and the attendant asked me to go to the front car and there was nobody queueing for it.Slammer: The ride had just been closed and nobody realised it had opened. The queue was packed after the ride ended!Samurai: It was in April during Cirque du Freak. It was really quiet.
  3. I cant see how depth charge will survive with the new water slide coming because it looks like the new water slide will be more entertaining!

I have to admit I do have a soft spot for Depth Charge. It's a fun ride, and doesn't get you too wet. It would be sad to see it go.
  4. The only thing I could see affected by the works of OG is the exit of the Megastore that leads straight there..

They'll probably have to have a temporary diversion to the Amity Cove entrance from the conveyabelts.
  5. Can anyone tell me why, when this ride was closed for a while, the ride team still stood at the loading platform/thing when the ride didn't open all day?

Probably just for security reasons, like if a bunch of chavs jumped over the fence and slid down the slides in their pants.
  6. Its not as simple as that, I dont know how it works but its much more complecated.Today, Tidal Wave had the flashy things on the sign working. The queue got up to 45 minutes in the last 15 minutes of closing. The water tower had its little door open but no one was near it.Also the splash didnt even reach the splash zone, I tried to get wet like 10 times and it never got me at all.

The water tower always has it's door open. It's been like that since it stopped working. Oh well, it makes it look more 'damaged'.
  7. How come when I visited at the start of the holidays, Slammer was closed until about 12:30, but the ride team were just stood by the queue entrance while the mechanics were busy doing something to the ride? They just told people that it should be ready at about mid-day, which was good of them to actually tell you when it will be ready. :)

    Er... What's wrong with that?
  8. Exactly, the shotguns were my favorite part of the queue as well! But I did notice that when they send me to the stairs, the tv's fizzled on minutes later to a speech from jigsaw and as soon as it finished we continued up the stairs, which was almost like a pre show, but I would still prefer the whole queueing experience.

I'm not sure if you'll know, but you know those CCTV images they show on the screens, are they live?
  9. Surely it can't be TOO hard to fix the effects on Tidal Wave, the water spraying from the bathroom, the organ coming from the church, the water gushing from the tower and the fire exploding from the drum. Couldn't they just shove one of those fire machine thingies they have during Fright Nights in it?

  10. I noticed that the volume had been lowered as well, it went off after we had walked past it and it didn't make anyone flinch, and surely it would be just as simple to have someone controlling the queue at the top of the stairs instead of one running backwards and forwards between the main and fastpass entrances to the building.

The Fastrack queue was originally controlled at the top of the stairs, but now it's outside, I preferred it how it was before, as you had more room and you actually got to experience the queue instead of just walking through the whole thing, missing the great effects such as the shotguns.
  11. Hey, if you go to Sunken Garden and stand on a bench, you can see the old harbour where the Thorpe Ferry stopped. It is intact with it's pirate flag still flying! Aw... I really miss the farm. It just been abandoned now, everything is still there, Pot Bellie's, the old barns, even the playground is intact. I wonder what will happen to this area in future? You can see it on Streetview, just go to Coldharbour Lane, Thorpe. You can also get to it by Monk's Walk.

  12. Damn, why do those queueline videos have to be so boring? It's the same thing over and over again, cheesy chat up lines, then MasterCard, then Burger King, then Spots V Stripes. Then it just starts again. Keeps you entertained for the first thirty seconds of the queue!
