The Epic Haloween Trip!

Recommended Posts

Back in late October I embarked on an Epic Halloween trip taking in 7 parks in 7 days, these were Legoland, Thorpe, Chessie, Plopsaland, Bobbejaanland, Walibi Belgium & Belleawarde. This is just taken wholey off Coaster Force as I cannot be bothered to re-do it!Day 1: LegolandHighlights: The fireworks Dragon in the dark CF'ers =D Lowlights: Jungle Coaster, its now ruined! Day started off with me awaiting for Jordan to arrive as there were people stuck in traffic. Once we got in, we met up with the others and took on the boating school's 30minute wait!!!!!!!! There was lots of little antics throughout the day! Rapids were a big shock how violent they were! Fireworks just amazing, though a **** Star Wars thing at the start, but oh well! It is for kids though.... Running through the park in the dark was just creepy with waves upon waves of people going opposite ways, just crazy atomsphere! And getting a last ride on Dragon in the dark was just awesome. Anyway, video: http://youtube.com/watch?v=QUhWRH9MUrAAnd me and Nicky on Jungle Coaster:

Day 2: Ghosterforce V, Thorpe ParkHighlights: Seeing everyone! Lowlights: Obviously breakdowns, but its Thorpe! Just an ever so fun day, and perfect weather for vidoing. got 2 gos on Rush as the bloke never took in our fast passes =] Video: http://youtube.com/watch?v=78dV32_MUW0Day 3: Ghosterforce V, ChessieHighlights: NO BREAKDOWNS!!!! Great company Death lol! Lowlights: None really Video: http://youtube.com/watch?v=MrVkESAZGzoDay 4, Plopsaland, De Panne, BelgiumHaving stayed at Ashford Travelodge for the night, Rich, Ian, BJ & Tanya had already left for an earlier ferry. I decided to take a later one as I wanted to rest up, and not to worry about tiredness. Got to the car and foundPosted ImagePosted ImagePhotos courtosey of IanFound my car with a ton of glow sticks on it! Knowing who did this, I laughed it off, though Will-I-am was not impressed. **** happens! We drove to Dover to catch our ferry. got over in nice time, and then it was off to the park. Having not done much research into the park (except the amount of credits it had!). I saw a suspended swinging coaster when we got there. Thought, go there and hit that. There was about a 20min q for it. Did 1 side and decided to do the other side later. At this point, we wanted to bang out the credits preety quickly, and the next one en route was the Mack powered Dragon coaster. And it was the fairly new one as it had the same seat style as Flying Fish at Thorpe park. So I was impressed =]Rollerskater was next with its advertising on most of the little things, like a huge carton of Minute Maid! And also the coaster goes through a washing machine. Which was very unique I feel. Quick round trip on that. Next coaster was the typical Large Zierra(sp?) coaster, but this one wasn't a ladybird, but some strange croc thing! Plenty of tree grabbing opportunites on this and through a bird cage! A quick walk round and we got to the Mack Supersplash. Nice elevator lift, and it does drop then coasts back up a hill then into the braking system of water! Just got midly moist, but most supersplashes are! This is when we decided on the second side of batflyer, and it was getting fairly late. Less of aq this time and we did the other part. So all coasters rode! Saw Ian and co. passing by, and they went off in the other direction! We decided to head to the Log Flume with its double drop and it was very wet.So the park, I give a rating of 7/10, a lot of nice theming and OTT things like a massive cooker!Coasters:Batflyer; 6/10 (Was fun!)Rollerskater; 5/10Larger type coaster thingy; 4/10Supersplash; 7/10I only got about 15 mins of footage, but did my best with the video!
Day 5, BobbejaanlandFirst up Typhoon, I feel its not as good as Rage though due to the brakes. Went over to the dingy slide thing, having been on 1 at Parc Asterix, I had high hopes, but it wasn't as good. Still enjoyable though. Evolution... OMG 30 cars per train?! Dark ride as well. Was quite a good Vekoma coaster!!!! Rapids were very wet (see video! LOL!) Speedybob.... meh! Dream Catcher was ok, has the new Vekoma trains, bit like Vampire. I still prefer Vamp though! Oakie Dokie was a nice little junior coaster, and has a nice place in the park. Bob Express, a Mack powered coaster was ok, could of been worse. The log flume near by was a bit ! But the one that was indoors is far supieror, and possibly the best themed one I have been on. Only 1 dead credit and it was right side of Speedy Bob =[ We saw the others a few times during the day, Will-I-am was constantly looking for them, I didn't care as I knew what was happening! Park: 8/10 Typhoon: 7/10 Speedy Bob: 5/10 Evolution: 8/10 Okie Dokie: 6/10 Bob Express: 5/10 Video:
Day 6, Walibi BelgiumTrick or Treat? It was Haloween, and its my turn to escape from a goon! Went in the park and Will-I-am leading as per normal, and said turn left towards Cobra (the boomerang!) Thank god we did! The q for it was short at the start of the day. I was thinking it was going to be rough as hell, but it was nice and smooth to my surprise. So we went up past the dead Turbine, booooooooo!!!! Tried to get on the mini coaster thing, and there was no one about and the ****er still didn't let us on! So over to the dark shooty ride. Bumped into Ian, Rich, BJ & Tanya while in the q. Behind Will's back I indicated I wanted to strangle myself to them! The dark shooty ride was awesome, got a high score on it as well! And its sooo strange that it has no rails o guide it round! After the ride I said I wanted to go and do some filming by myself, and also sit down as I had a headache (The headache was true, but filming not so. Myk and Steve were in on the act too!). So I sat on a bench just outside the ride waiting for Ian and co. to finish. informed them that I dumped Will, and we set off in the direction I came from =] teacups were a nightmare to spin, took aaaages to get going.More ambling about, and it was over to Vampire, the SLC. They used their exit/film pass to get front row, and so I waited for them. I would head back there later. Over to the woodie, Loop Garou. Got front row, and OMG! What a ride! Worth every second of it. I'll get the POV of it up soon! Most of this part you should refer to Ian's TR HEREI had t go back with Goon. This was a chance to hit other rides like the mine train, which was ok. And the log Flume avec water guns =[We went up by the kiddie coaster again, had a chat with Ian, Myk and Steve vanished, wanting to do their own thing. Me and goon headed to Vampire as I ahd not done it yet. He started qing with me, but after about 15 mins, he said go alone, as he was hungry and the q was massive! After telling lots of q jumpers to get back along with some Belgium cronies. I got on, and sat next to a random, but cute Belgium chick =] Not bad for my 150th coaster. Actualy enjoyed an SLC for once as it wasn't too rough. After this, it was about 7, so decided to get some merch then head to the hotel. So thats my day in words! Now the video is here:http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=...p?v=45926512779Annoyingly youtube blocked my video due to the music I used, but its in that link on FB. And its annoignly squashed on the sides! Hopefully it will be on CF sometime soon!Day 7! The Last Day! Bellewaerde!I kinda took control of this day, so we set out exploring the park, not knowing where everything is, just following the signs. We came across the Log Flume, bit of a tame one with 2 lifts and 1 drop... strange! We went past the kiddie coaster, which was close at the time due to rain! Damn! Decided to come back later. We eventualy found Boomerang, the first operating Vekoma Boomerang ever! But it was closed till 12. Since we were getting quite moist, we saw the 4D Cinema, showing a halloween film about a mine. It was possibly the best 4D Cinema out there wit moving seats, and very well maintained. We wanted to stay dry and went to a boat ride indoors... themed to pirates. Wasn't too bad really! Next up, Topple Tower. This was a fun ride, not too nausiating, and Stece had his foot wetted by a fountain. But very fun. Boomerang had opened since, so we headed over and did that, after doing the one at Walibi the day before, I thought this would be better.... HOW WRONG WAS I! Rough through the cobra roll and a sudden brake at the very end, as demonstrated in the video!Next up was checking to see if the kiddie coaster was open, and it was, q'ed up, and got front. At this point, my lens of my camera was getting condensation! Not a good sign! The POV came out all crap. Due to the rain, the coaster struggled up the lift hill, and we got 3 rollbacks. We then hit the vintage cars nearby. Then decided to dry off in the arcade for a bit, and play some silly token winning games! I won a travel game =DAt this point we decided to search for the rapids, but eventualy we found out they were closed. There seemed a lot of leeves in it. We then ambled around to the boat splash ride and the shot tower, which was re-themed for halloween (Most of the rides were!). Got some footage, and we all agreed to head out of the park and goto Calais. In all fairness it wasn't a bad park. I will go again if it wasn't raining. Then it could be enjoyed more. It sorta has a Chessington feel about the place. Which is nice!Anyway.... Video!
