  11. I was thinking that we could have a meet point for each of say 4 drivers, and then they drive to a meet point from which we drive as a convoy to Alton, designated stop point alone the way for breakfast/snacks/toilet and then conferance calling if any other stops are needed for awkward people!Obviously if you're going by stations, then Clapham Junction would be the best place to meet...
  12. Depending on when it is, I'm all up for doing some driving! Will need to pass the ol' test and get me a car first, obv. :oRegardless, I'm up for it and will definitely be there!
  13. Yeah, the trains are good for getting up there, but from right down south it would take a while, and we couldn't hang around for anyone who may have been delayed or missed their train. However, the Daily Mail *cringe* have a special offer on again at the moment with discounted rail tickets, so it's a possibility.Trains have the advantage of being easier once you get on them, walk around, toilets, shops, no need for one person to worry about driving. However, they have the disadvantages of getting everyone to the station on time, and from the station to Alton Towers. Also, they generally cost more (factor in a cab from the station too).Cars on the other hand are much more flexible with timings and what not, also more options with regards to picking people up, time of travel. However with many cars you would be hard pushed to keep everyone together (see below), but I could conferance call on iPhone to make sure all is going as planned.Either way I'd want to properly organise this one, have a designated route given to all the drivers, initial meeting point of all the cars once they are filled with the right people, designated junctions to come off for food etc. Meeting points at the towers and what not, hotel rooms, times, meeting for dinner etc. It couldn't be done on the fly with a phone like Nandos was.
  14. Patience young fanpeeps patience, discussion have been had!We would have plenty of drivers, as in the admin team alone Me, Mark, Marc, Ian and Mike can all drive. That's 20 people, and with the extra cost and distance of going to Alton I doubt we'd get more members than that able to attend. Not sure if Cringley has started driving yet or nots! But yes, have y'all a little patience! :)Dunno if I've posted about Thorpe the other day or not, but just to clarify, it was great fun, Nandos was teh r0x0r.

  20. There are gay people on this board, and I can garuntee you have probably been in a class at school for years with someone who is gay, whether you (or they) know it or not. So going by what you say, isn't that going to make you gay too? Fair enough! If you could link to an article I'd love to have a look, makes interesting reading I find. Possibly this increase in oestrogen could be due to the event in someone's life that influences their sexuality though, not nessecerily just genetic. I mean, I'm no Scientist by any stretch of the imagination, but I can assume that fancying men or other different behaviours could cause an increase in oestrogen levels during life?
  21. Seriously, he might. :PPersonally I think it's just down to the individual, there isn't one rule for anyone. Some people may have an event in their life that influences their sexuality significantly while others just know; feel homosexuality is something that has been with them since birth.Scientifically speaking, there has been research into a "Gay gene", but s'not proven. You definitely can't tar everyone with the same brush anyway.
  22. To be fair, some of us *cough* Seb *cough* never stopped being n00by :PHaha, yeah, everyone come along, and then come for a film and a meal after the park shuts, will be fabbo!
