  1. No, my phone is on 3. 3G network. It's an overpriced piece of eye candy. My two cents.

    <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Your point is? Don't buy it then :s Already been through why it isn't. It's praticly same price as iPod Touch, with a standard contract. Don't like the contract, unlock it. It's simple, why are people making such a fuss.
  2. Ease of use, no. There were mp3 players before the iPod and they never took off. Why? Because they sucked, they were hard to use and fidley like every other phone I have used. You cannot deny the iPod is the most easy to use mp3 player in existant, it's what started the 'Digital music revolution'. The iPhone is the same.

  3. Yes, but the iPod is the most functional easy to use mp3 player, thus there being over 150 million sold. My phone has an mp3 player, its terrible, and so are all the other mobile phone ones I have used.

  4. How can you have 3G speeds when 3G isn't on o2, who you are with? Your using EDGE.Just because you have coverage, doesn't mean everyone else does. It is patchy. And your phone does not have an iPod, which is what makes the iPhone the iPhone.

  5. Cos the 3G chip is power hungry and would recude the phone life to two hours, not much use. Your forgeting the iPhone is praticly a computer under the hood that needs power.

  6. Lacks being able to plague youtube with s**ty mobile phone videos. You can use MP3's as ringtones. Who give's a hoot about 3G? The coverage is terrible round here and is patchy in other places to. The edge network will be rolled out to the entire uk by October 1st. All data plans are subject to fair usage policys, 3, Orange, even my broadband. You get your nokia then, however your nokia isn't an iPod, surf the web dohikey and everything esle. iPhone is the first phone to do it right, no one can deny that, it's super easy to use and looks gorgeous.

  7. Well it's finaly here! The UK iPhone! As expected it is on o2, starting from £35 per month with unlimited data plan. The 8GB model will set you back £269 and will be avaliable from November 9th. That said only 30% of the UK has the 'EDGE' data coverage, so don't see how people are gonna be paying for something there not gonna immediately get...hmm. However I shall be at my Apple store opening day, the fanboy that I am. Woop.Posted again cos I'm cool.Seb: It isn't just a phone, it's an iPods, websurfey thing and everything else.Marc: Out of everyone I spoke to today about contracts, they said £35 is good. I agree. Edge is a simple upgrade at the phone towers and will be avaliable to the whole country by October 1st.Also you get free wifi at about 7500 spots around the country. Good to me. If you don't want to go on contract just unlock it and use it on pay as you go.They havn't cocked up.

  8. I hate spiders =[in related news (not really) I got my Sciences module results back. Two pappers, both on Chemistry, and I scored 50 on both, that's an A*. It's 50 out of 50, so 100% correct answers, and was the only one in the year to get that, was well chuffed. Hehe
