  1. Yes, Chessington & Zoo are not allowed to build anything that is above tree height.I think the maximum is about 59/60ft as Dragon's Fury is 59.1ft.

Just to correct that slightly Chessington does have a height limit but its not really tree height for example Peeking Heights and Dragon Falls. The main thing for Chessington is that it can't be seen from the road with the exception of peeking and Vampire. Its more a noise issue for Chessington. Also the overall height of a ride doesn't really matter as Rameses is 60ft tall but is built in a ditch.
  2. Right guys just to clear things up. As said before can everyone please stop with the constant arguing between eachother on the forums. At the moment everyone is jumping on the band wagon as soon as ThemeParkBloke says something. Everyone is allowed their own opinions and if it does not stop soon I am sure the admin will ban all involved. Also to clear up the whole coaster/flat debate. Although I did say it will be a flat please remember that this is just something I have been told it is in no way 100% accurate or guarenteed. For all we know there could be a new coaster going in Fungle's space within the next 2-3 years. I think the space is more suited to a flat ride rather than a new coaster. So can we all stop with the arguing and slagging off other members this is one reason that alot of people leave the forum and do not attend the meets. As you can see Mark9 has already posted on here and has stated he is annoyed so I am sure the next person to jump onto having an arguement or slagging off someone wether it is ThemeParkBloke or anyone is likely to get a warn or even banned.

  3. Yeah when I was walking into the park from the main road could hear Colossus and Saw effects. The thing that annoys me is when people living near the parks moan about the noise etc. I mean you moved to a house next to a theme park what do you expect. I think whatever Merlin decides to do to Thorpe over the next few years will be great additions to an already great park. I think next year will be more based around Alton and Chessington as both those parks have not had anything major recently especially Chessington where the last major thing was Dragon's Fury.

  4. That is very true although it had been along time since Colossus was built and its not that close to it where as Fungle is Right next to the exit of N.Inferno. I think the next coaster will be on the infills near Stealth. Nothing has been decided as of yet and as everyone knows nothing is predictable, Theme Parks will always keep things quiet for as long as they can it adds to the excitment.Just to add I would love to see a coaster next to N.Inferno a bit like Duelling Dragons I think that same thing with N.Inferno would be pretty nice. I don't agree with a Flying Coaster I am not a big fan of them although I would love to see a Water Coaster sometime soon.

  5. Nothing is confirmed as of yet so its all speculation. They could always do what they done with Fungle and shut the ride early for the Asylum or have 2 Q lines one for each. Thorpe will look at all aspects of things first, they know what they are doing.

  6. Second of all, if 'a friend' 'who works for Merlin' has told you something about the future of the site, knowing you are unable to post what it is, please don't brag you know and 'can't say', it's a tad annoying and doesn't make anyone look clever.

Sorry about that fever I didn't mean to offend you or make it sound the way your saying it does. I was just stating that so that I could get my point across to Theme Park Bloke about the fact it will not be a coaster as there is no point right next to NInferno.

Yes, we'd all like thrills to be thrown at us, but you also have to remember, Merlin have just spent a great deal of cash on Dylan and will be looking forward to the great deal of cash it will make for them. Next year, they really will not be putting their hands as deeply into their pockets and will squeeze another year from Saw. Even more so if they have SW6 cash being spent at the towers.

I agree with what Fever said it is not likely to be anything major due to the ammount of money currently being invested in SW6 as well as the contracts running out on Beanoland and Imperial Leather at Chessington. Thorpe Park got the Major new attraction this year so it will likely be a flat ride. Also Guys can we keep this on-topic and please don't be harsh to other members, I understand I said something about ThemeParkBlokes post but that was just about the coaster. There is no need for other members to start slagging him off and members arguing on the forum. Please in future be nice to other members and keep the posts on topic. This not only makes it nicer for other members but will keep the admin team happy as they do not want to sit there reading reported posts for no reason.
  7. As I stated I am unable to say what I have heard as I was informed by someone employed by Merlin. If what the person said is true then it is likely to be next year and will be a flat ride but will not be anything like Duel or Tomb Blaster.

  8. Every single one is amazing Saw 2 has a great storyline 1 has the best twist in the film. Being a Saw :the movie fanboy I have seen everyone at least 5 times and still love them. When I get paid from my new job I'm going to be buying the billy puppet from Saw:Store.

  9. Saw was running on 7 cars yesterday and they were using the makeshift Q line it was out gate then went back on itself to single rider bit and back again to main gate.I also have to agree with TPDan know one will know the Q times in advance. All I can say is the next 2 weeks will be busy but it also depends on the weather. I am guessing today is extremly busy because it is really nice but Easter Monday could be rain all day so therefore might not be busy.

  10. The reward scheme changes each year. It can also range from alot of things. For me working there was more about the reward of making guests happy and meeting many new people. The rest is just a bonus.I have to say I think the staff last year at Chessington were alot better than this years staff. When I visited on the opening day the new staff were not very talkative and were standing around like it was the end of the world doing nothing. Come on guys it was the first day you should be excited. I wish I was still there I would make the staff happy and doing what they should do.

  11. 3hours is not exagerating I went yesterday (Friday) with a few people from here and the Q time was at 2hours 30 mins for most of the day. Even when we went onto the ride at 4-55 the Q was around 1hour 45 mins. I think the Q's will be getting worse over the next 2 weeks so the best thing I say is get in the Q line at 4-50.

  12. Once again Theme Park Bloke you are chatting a load of rubbish have you seen the size of Fungle. There is no way you can build a new coaster there, not only that It would be right next to Nemesis Inferno so this would be pointless. Before posting your so called word of mouths or guesses make sure they are sensible otherwise it is wasting other members time reading your posts.I have heard what they plan to place there but I am not allowed to say what it is.

  13. What I hope they do is place an actor inside the police car during Fright Nights. That way when people are looking in the car there is an actor "dead" over the steering wheel but all of a sudden they come to life and bang on the window making people jump. I think during Fright Nights there is so much that can be done with this ride. So fingers crossed for some scary things to come.

  14. Yeah but obviously he is really upset over jade so he rides "the worlds scariest coaster" with his mates. I don't think its Thorpe wanting the attention its more the press following Jack Tweed. Although it's not going to do Thorpe any harm.

  15. Saw seems to have squeaks around the track. Although when going up the lift hill the clicking of anti rollbacks was not there the previous 2 weeks. It was very nice to see all effects working again and I hope they get back to 8 cars soon.

  16. Also you can pick up a guide for guests with disabilities at Guest Services. If you are unsure still then ask the staff on the platforms of the ride you want to go on. Having worked at Chessington last year I will happily help along with other members on here with any questions you may have. I know that with Dragon Falls and Bubbleworks operators are not allowed to stop the station conveyor to get guests on as this can cause the rides to shut down.

  17. I like the map this year but being a map freak I always look for errors or funny things and here is a list of errors or funny things found on the map.Loggers Drop is wrong waySlammer is Facing wrong wayDepth Charge Entrance is wrong sidePerson riding Depth Charge with no DinghyPeople on Flying Fish bridge and exit whilst ride is moving.Person Riding Fish with Drink falling out of hand.Someones Shoe Falling off RushA mobile Phone falling off QuantumA Thinder River Boat on Rumba Platform. If anyone can spot anything else please add them as this is all I can see at the moment.

  18. The area for Treasure Island will not be ready for next year as they haven't filled in all the land yet. A ride to replace Fungle is probably happening next year and Treasure Island year after.

  19. I went on Annual Pass Day and I was really disappointed with the ride and theming. It has to be the worst dark ride in the UK. I would say try it once but once is enough. I like how everything you shoot moves or does some sort of effect that is the only good thing. The ride is too short and the Q'ing is too long and confusing.

  20. I remember a school trip that we went on for GCSE Geography. Obviously my school had no money because we went to A council estate in Vauxhall area of London followed by a brand new riverside estate to compare Quality of Life. Love crappy school trips.
