    The conveyor in the station can be stopped but only for a very short time before it will shut the ride down. The boats will just stack up on the entrance to the station, then on the lift hill.Or something like that anyway. Thats how it worked on Dragon Falls :)

    I do wish more people were so descriptive. Thanks James, always curious about things like that and the workings behind it. One day all my Thorpe questions will get valid ansers.

    I miss old Thorpe, before the days of massive rollercoasters looming above us now and annoying deliquents. It was incredibly peaceful and just a big fun day out with the family. Does anybody remember the excitement of Tidal Wave when it was opened? :) The thrill of getting constantly wet!

    I have a question, what was there before Tidal Wave?. I'm sure the fire was something to do with it, but I am not sure if they built that as a substitute ride or they planned it anyway. I'm also sure Detinator replaced Wicked Witche's Haunt

    Barely any have music there - I think Dragon is one of the only exceptions. Otherwise I seem to recall no music like anywhere.

    I love the music for Fairytale brook. :). it just really sets the sceen. I've not heard any music on Dragon, oh and I love the entrance music as you go through the gate.

    I could send you the anouncement for when you are returning to the station and also the "stand clear" before you board if you want it. I also have the shutdown anouncement

    The logs arent attached, the current just pushes them along, and the wheels also guide the boat.

    Is that why they can't stop the ride to let guests board?. I'm thinking that if they stop it, it freezes the current and there for requires it to be fixed. There must be some kind of logical reason behind it.Is there a Loggers Leap topic?. I think this is going offtopic as the thread's meant to be about closed rides

    Not a very good opening day ride wise but it is the first day of main season and most of the rides on the list have been shut since November so expect some problems. Hopfully things get better soon and hopfully Saw will be fine tomorrow.

    I was there today, most rides I wanted to go on worked fine. X closed about 3 and was still closed when we left. Safety checks were being carried out on Rumba, but apart from that was a good day for operations.

    I know this is everyone's views, but I could not stand a pirate themed area! Chessington and AT have one, so why not go for something a bit different; unique.

    What would you replace Ranger County with?. I thought of pirates because they apeal a lot to all ages

    I suppose you could cahnge the aspect I didn't really think it up I sort of dreamed it one night and I didn't orignially see it as a coaster as such I saw it as a monorail type ride which might work, of course the drops wouldn't really be possible, or you could have carruage moving along a rail above them and it could still drop?

    A monorail round Ranger County would be nice, or even one through the jungle. Guess it could kind of work

    Would you not add some sort of new coaster?And also wouldnt there be more extreme flat rides added instead of kiddy rides since chessington is just 30 mins up the road.

    As for coasters, I probably would, just couldn't think of a coaster idea worth posting about. Flat rides are kind of covered, you've got Rush, Vortex, Quantum and a host of others tooMy original idea is to try and make the park apeal to everyone and with the addition of a lazer style ride and a posidon style atraction, I think I've done it.There is so much Thorpe could do with Inferno

    Here's what I'd do, most of this probably won't happen but no harm in dreaming.2010- Remove Time Voyagers and replace it with a Posidon's fury style show like the one at Islands of adventure. Hire more staff to make WWTP Radio live and stream through out the park. It will anounce if there are breakdowns play a larger variety of music and also have shows where the public can get involved.2011- Remove Ranger county and give it to Chessington. Build a new themed pirate area in it's place, with a swinging pirate ship, the return of Pirates 4-d, a pirate style arcade and a new fish and chip shop2012- Remove X-no way out and replace it with an interactive lazer ride like Toomb Blaster. Build a new railway at the park entrance that allows guests to travel round and get off at the various diffrent lands, save the walking. :)2013- Install an indoor swimming pool where the beach was. Make Depth Charge an indoor atraction with only part of it going outside. Remove Tidal Wave from Amity Cove and put it oppositte the main pool2014- Add more intense affects to Inferno such as a fire chamber and hot floor. Add preshow showing guests what it was like to experience a volcano2015- Remove the KFC and replace it with an all you can eat american style eatery. There would be ribbs, chicken wings and other spicy foods. General work around the park including a retheme of Posidon ading more scary affects, add some kids rides to the Atlantis Dome, like Skyline at Butlins, add some new pirate style music to the boat in the pirate area and general safety checks on other rides2016- Add a Backstage tour during closed season like the behind the loop tour, where each weekend Thorpe take some guests behind the sceens of there rides and the guests get to ask questions. No new rides this year2017- This year the park will be open for christmas, with a new Santa's grotto next to the lazer style ride in the Lost city. Retheme the railways so that there are pictures of trees, angels and santa clause round the stations. Also make the Park entrance play christmasy music.2018- Retheme the Santa's grotto in to a new shop with direct access to the lazer style ride. Add a new dolphin experience simulator to Amity cove, where you experience what it is like to be a dolphin. Remove Loggers Leap and Rumba Rapids. Make Rumba a lazy river in the pool section and add a new slide in place of loggers.2019- Extend the park''s opening hours until midnight. Add a new Entertainment area outside Atlantis featuring pubs bars and shows for the kids. Also add a new comedy club, and make WWtp play live in that area2020- Add an imax to the entertainment area with a choice of 3 or 4 diffrent shows. Give WWTP a frequency so it can be listened too outside the park.I could go on forever, but think I'll stop for now

    Given the theme of the area, it wouldn't surprise me if Thorpe just rebuild a newer version of Fungle Safari. Maybe just change some of the aspects and the name obviously. :)I just can't see a coaster going in to that slot, anyway it wouldn't really fit a land which has a Caricell and a Swinging Boat.It's a nice idea for a ride, but maybe get rid of the Fish and put it there

    I agree, she was such a legend. I am sure she will be missed by all.Persinally, I loved Are You Being Served?. Watched the repeats on UK gold.On a briter note, Saturday night Takeaway is on tonight, I love Ant and dec always make me smile!
