  1. Okay neither of those were too long, and I did read them.I rarely say that I hate anyone, and if I do, it's because of things they do deliberately, not accidentally. We live in a society where tolerance is expected in a number of areas, and I have to admit that I can't always find it possible to be so. However, in these cases, I have no problem whatsoever. I remember a conversation with Will a while back where I was just a bit alarmed in terms of content and context, yet carried on with it, understanding the difficulties he has with social interaction. I also wanted him to come to the London trip in December as we had a great time the year before. Michaela is awesome on here and Facebook, although still a tad quiet in person. I don't count that as a problem though, we hardly know each other yet. If people say inappropriate things to me, I will tell them ... then move on, simple as. Life is too short to get bogged down with silly stuff like this.

  2. See it sounds it, thorpe had alot more than that too, but 40/50 mins for cobra, or 20 mins for Detonator I know which one I would choose!

40/50 minutes for a brand new ride is pretty good. I can think of Stelf, Shlamma, Roosh, Sore, Sore Aleeve and Fish all having much longer queues when they were new, so I fail to see your point.
  3. It's not such a massive Park that you wouldn't have caught up with us eventually. Posted ImageWith 2 or more people, I would stay in any Park for the day. It's different if you are on your own though. Perhaps you guys just didn't want to go anyway.

  4. Chessington on Saturday was excellent. It's been a whole 3 months since I had seen John too! We met up with some CFers too, it's always good to meet some old friends, and a certain Neal and Neal junior ... yes there is another one! 5. Yeah, I don't think Mothers Day would have been such a huge factor. Personally I think this may be a sign that Thorpe may have got it wrong, in terms of target audience, whereas Chessington have got it spot on. If they can collect an average of 13,000 over 32 weekends, they would get almost 730,000 ... then they have the summer weekdays and Halloween to further boost the figures. Well done Chessington.

  6. Judging by the capacities for Navigator and Edge, we should expect little from Kobra. Loading and unloading is extremely time consuming, although I have heard that Kobra doesn't have secondary restraints installed, so that should save a little time. The thing about Zamperla Diskos is that they look spectacular rides, and Kobras theming looks to make that look one of the best seen. So, with a capacity of perhaps 300-400 per hour, this will never be a queue cruncher.A 13,000 gate figure is quite something for an Annual Pass Preview. Did that beat Thorpe? I am now extremely concerned about my visit on Saturday :S

  7. Is it rude though? All you are doing is taking a photo of yourself, and surely you own the copyright to your own image?I had a bit of grief at Alton last year with a jobsworth who insisted that I could not take a photo of the screen, I did get a photo of him though ^_^

  8. They may be playing to a shameless generation, but this is one 'fan' who is ashamed of this map, and the endless failures in Thorpes PR machine.Looking through the screen caps, some things are actually clever, and well thought out, others are simply reckless and cavalier - which leaves one image so out of place that it becomes distasteful.Posted ImageThis poor guy (and I have seen this for real in Blackpool) is being made a fool of by people in the shop.Posted ImageDrug induced stars?Posted ImageLooks like beer bottles at a Theme Park is acceptable?Posted ImageQuite humorous actually.Posted ImageThe minister who blessed Stealth is a clever inclusion.Posted ImageNo ideas about this one.Posted ImageGay cowboys?Posted ImageAs JoshC pointed out.... no doubt whats happening here with trousers, tshirt and pants lying on the grass.Posted ImageAnd finally, to ensure they comply with all of the minority legislation requirements we have this guy.Posted ImageAs most of you know, I do have a pretty good sense of humour, am pretty open minded and certainly not a prude. However, for a Global Corporation to endorse such publicity is beyond my comprehension. The website was bad enough, but I bit my tongue and said nothing. The map is something which will have been printed in hundreds of thousands, and distributed to all visitors to the Park, and will form part of the lasting memory of peoples visit - I am sure that most people have a collection of maps from places visited. How will this map stackup in the grand sceme of things in the future .... I suspect not that well.As Steve said, Sort it out Thorpe.

  9. ^ lolRegardless of whether this forum is supposed to be a lighthearted and fun place to be, in the off topic section, members are able to discuss anything they want. Personally I would rather have something different such as this, than discuss a fence in all of its intimate detail. Posted Image
