    I would expect that it would be the set up of the rope on Swing B that needs to be adjusted.

    On a side note, the restraints are looking a bit grubby!

    A while ago when I was at the park someone hit their foot on one of the tree's when riding Samurai, they seemed to be in a lot of pain. I have no idea whether this has anything to do with the removal of the trees but it's something to consider.

    I could touch the trees with my foot last year so this could be the reason. Only brushed it though.

    It is poor, but standard everywhere these days.

    When I was a Saturday boy at Safeway (ask your Mum) we got double time Sunday, triple time bank holidays, time and a third between 7PM and 7AM if we didn'y go through 2AM or time and a half between those hours if we did.

    Now my friends who are still in retail are pretty much all on a flat rate regardless of hours worked, except full nights which pay time and a third.

    Life sucks while there's more people than jobs. But it is not a trick or a scam, it's in the contract and if you don't want work on those times you just have to find something else.

    Yep I work in a supermarket. Time and half on Bank holidays and £2 extra ph for working nights. Overtime/Weekends are exactly the same rate as Weekdays

    Th13teen keeps going through the cold conditions, is there a chance The Smiler may suffer this problem?

    Thirteen was closed when I visited Alton in the cold weather in March.

    I don't know what people were expecting. It was an absolutely rubbish ride backwards. It's going to be rubbish forwards with a few lights as well.

    If you are referring to the brake runs then thats how it's supposed to feel. People must like it, if no one went on it then Thorpe would have gotten rid of it ages ago, just saying.

    I would bet most people don't know what they are going on before riding.

    Let's just get rid of this awful ride. Everyone I know who goes to Thorpe Park (who are all just the normal GP type, not enthusiasts) absolutely hate the ride. Its boring & feels like its going to breakdown. I really don't understand how anyone could like this ride, I really don't.

    Wait so is it confirmed that KFC is going or is that just Burger King? I'll be sad to see either go, I do like their chips.

    Also I hope Pizza hut doesn't go, unless the pasta pizza thing is really just as good..?

    The Pizza Pasta at Alton is alright, but personally I just prefer Pizza Hut.

    Storm Surge I wouldn't mind, but don't actually WANT them to remove, and X they should keep and refurbish, not get rid of. Never.

    How anyone can actually like X:\No Way Out is beyond me. It really is.

    Is there any reason merlin parks don't seem to have them?

    They won't they'll replace them with own brand outlets. 100% revenue then. Alton had a McDonalds in Forbidden Valley quite a while ago.

    Equally, how many people in that queue have ridden it before to know how awful it is?

    It's the same as spinball at towers, people queue because its so bloody visable and one of the first rides on park. Doesn't have good throughputs, and doesn't get great scores. It just is busy because of location pretty much.

    I agree with the low throughput being the main reason, but I enjoy the ride myself. Always puts a smile on my face. All my mates like it too. (Spinball this is)
