  1. Currently have a Major obsession for Ella O'Connor aka Lorde, A 16 year old New Zealand singer-songwriter. Her song Royals has recently become a major hit in the states getting to number 4 and her song Tennis Court was featured on the Wimbledon's Women's Finals. I think she has a great career ahead of her and this is only the beginning. Her debut Album Pure Heroine is out in the states 30th of September and here October 28th.

Also Haim's New Single 'The Wire' has to be one of the most hilarious videos of this year.

  2. In the last two years, I've really begun to take a strong interest in 4 of these upcoming artists.

Natalia Kills, who was signed by Will.I.am and is releasing her 2nd album in the Summer. Her best song is called Mirrors and she makes a lot of dark-sounding, pop music. She works with Jeff Bhasker (fun, Kanye West) and Emilie Haynie (Lana Del Rey)

Neon Hitch, a gypsy who is known for her songs F U Betta and Gold (written by Bruno Mars) works with Greg Kurstin (Lily Allen, Pink, Katy Perry, Ke$ha, Britney Spears). Randomly, someone I know from work, is actually good friends with her, surprise, surprise.

Sky Ferreira, who has worked with Shirley Manson of Garbage as well as pop producers, 'Bloodshy & Avant' (Most famous for Toxic by Britneyy Spears) and has some really good songs like One, Obsession, Elevator, Red Lips and Everything Is Embarrassing.

Porcelain Black, US female solo artist who went under the name of Porcelain and the Tramps was known for making industrial-sounding music and has finished making an album which is due in the summer. She is working with and was discovered by my favourite producer, RedOne of Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez and Nicki Minaj.

What I really respect are 'artists' who write their songs and have creative control over their music, as opposed to other Popstars, who rely on songwriters to write their 'hits'. Seeing artists like Adele, Janelle Monae, fun, Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran writing their own songs, maintains my faith in this industry.

Sky and Natalia Kills are amazing, Sky is one of those artists that hasn't found her genre/style yet. I mean the Ghost EP is like 2 different artists which is good and I like the fact her style is so different, Cant wait for the debut album to drop later this year. One of my favourite Sky songs is Seventeen, her older stuff is so good. Natalia's album comes out so soon as well 'Trouble', can't wait for it too drop as well.

Current obsession is Haim, there getting pretty big. Its a sister act from California; there's Danielle, Este and Alana Haim, each play different instruments and all sing. They have a rock,R&B, 80s/90s vibe. I saw them last year live and there amazing. Going to see them again this year to their sold out gig in London. Falling and Forever are my favourites.

Another artists I've become obsessed with last year are; Nina Nesbitt, the female scottish singer songwriter. Who I again saw last year and seeing on tuesday, Charli XCX who's a kind of dark pop artist with debut album True Romance out in April and Bastille which have become hugely successful this year with Pompeii and debut album Bad Blood.

  3. Ok well I went today, all I can say is busy! One thing I will say is... SOLD OUT? Hmmmm I dont think so my friend, who didn't pre book but had a tescos clubcard voucher went in fine, they didn't seem to care as the people next to us were buying normal up front gate tickets. Didn't get there till 2:00pm we only wanted to go for a short time and it was freezing so we left at like 6pm :( But still got to do Asylum and The Passing plus a few Flats.

    The Passing

Right So I heard mixed opinions on this so I went in with an open mind, Personally Id say the most unique Fright Night maze there but it has potential to be better. Right So I had a 3-3:15pm booking, got there at 5 to 3 and walked straight into the queue. Now when you get inside the first section is done fantastically, The actor did a great job shouting at the other twerps in our group when the giggled and told them to turn around and face the wall "you've already had enough punishment don’t make me treat you like a kid..." Etc. Then the photo opportunity which slightly ruined this moment she made but still It didn't annoy me that much.

The next part of the corridor looked cheap and tacky with vinyl morgue scenes and blood, the actor here didn't do much apart from putting on the bags over our head. The bags have speakers in them so every now and then you get whispers such as "rot in hell" etc., You're then told to move into the next room where you have the video of children. Then suddenly pictures of burning people, brutally murdered bodies and other disturbing images flash up. Then the screen above turns on and watch people bury you into the ground. Suddenly I noticed an actor dressed like death standing in front of 2 tunnels 1 white, 1 black. As I was at the back originally, I got split up from my friend who went in the black tunnel and I went in white which annoyed me as I never saw her again in the whole attraction, I kept shouting her name to see where she was. I hated the tunnels, I bashed my head, and it felt pointless and really uncomfortable. Also the bag it really does restrict you're vision as mine kept moving around so the mesh part wasn't near my eyes putting me in complete darkness, which was horrible. I grabbed the person in front of ME’s leg just to see where I was going.

After the tunnels we go round the old Hell Gate layout but in reverse, the prison scene was really good again I got picked on. Someone tried to drag me into their cell and screamed, "rot in hell" in my ear. There was also some statue like figure that was really good, didn't notice it until after it appeared right in my face, actors really seemed to come from nowhere? Anyway we headed on in old style conga line until we got to the faux ending. You're handed a certificate of Death and then told to stand randomly in a corridor, now I knew about the fact there’s a fake ending but this could have been executed better, we stood in this corridor for a while, until another door opened which took us to another white room. Here we stood here for about 2 mins then the lights went of and the UV writing appeared, suddenly a door opened and we then went through a curtain maze which really disorientated me but only got grabbed by my legs so I didn't get scared much in this bit, then you're out of the attraction.

I had to wait a while until I was reunited with my friend which I found out got stuck in the black tunnel because she was on her own and had no idea where to go and ended up joining the group behind us. Anyway I give the maze a 7.5 because I felt it used many different elements audio, visual effectively however it lacked a storyline which I noticed was very apparent in American Haunts (went to Howl O Scream Busch Gardens Williamsburg last Halloween.) I also would have improved the fake ending just 1 room not this wait outside here then go in to another fake room, also had an actor come into the room when all the lights went out. Would have made it a lot more interesting and scary. Also extend the length of the actual maze no crawling more walk-through, I found the tunnels rather pointless. Worth £3 yes, the now £4 yes as it was no queue, but if I had to queue over 20mins then no, not at all.

    (7.5/10)

  4. Sinister

Well what can I say, Probably the scariest film I have seen in a while, the idea behind it is terrifying and it just keeps you on the edge of you're seat the whole time. It really is like the best/scariest parts of Paranormal Activity and Insidious have brought been brought together (made by the same producers of both), The film has many twists and a predictable but jumpy ending. Dont want to give to much away but its worth a watch.

    8/10

House At The End Of The Street:

Now this film was again a great film but I found it delved into so many genres, romantic, teen , Thriller that it was less of a Horror than I expected. The film however has so many twists that you cannot truly understand who's is who until the very end. Literally takes a complete reverse into who you think is the killer/sister too something completely different. Similar to the twist in Psycho, great thriller but not a great Horror. Also Jennifer Lawrence is an amazing actress in this film and does a great job unlike some movie actress's in horror genre, my recommendation is too go in without any pre conceptions.

    7.5/10

  5. Well I went to the Park yesterday, for the Athletics. Wow the arena is amazing just the atmosphere was incredible, we won 1 gold but still it was every athlete you kind of supported. Especially in the F11/12 womens Long Jump, similarly to Benin the whole crowd going silent to help them run up down the runway to the pit was incredible. I really hope that after these games theres no Atlanta style changes like knocking down half the stadium and ripping up the whole track, the worst about that games they did that before the Paralympics finished. The venue has such potential to be useful for so many events it would be ashamed to see it be altered.

  6. Double post eek but that was ages ago! ; 0 Anyway...

Apple's WWDC2012 Keynote has been taking place tonight, with Mac updates, and also the announcement of iOS6!

A new feature which will feature in iOS6 which has particularly stood out to me is an integrated App called "PassBook" This App holds tickets, passes, loyalty cards, and anything else which could possibly be coded with a barcode or similar type of computer-read code.

After thought, this could hugely benefit theme parks! Guests could potentially purchase tickets via an official app, get the barcode appear when they get in the proximity of the attraction, scan at the turnstile and off you go! Certainly an idea for the future for Theme Parks and attractions.

What a great idea of an App from Apple! :D

Agreed defiantly better than Google Wallet, not restricted to the limited NFC connectivity plus I always use my iPhone for BA flights and Starbucks card so if its easier to get to the better.

  8. No downtime today which is good only ride to do so was Storm Surge I believe. OH and back onto the Swarm I am currently editing a couple of shots I took on my phone so I will post that soon . P.S I prefer the Left side much more than the right.

  9. ^Yeah I used to love that song! Been playing on the radio for a few months constantly now, so it got a bit ruined for me. But yeah, its good.---------------Meanwhile, starting to enjoy this happy little song over the last few weeks...

And just while I'm here... Lady Antebellum. This has been around for a while, but they need to get more attention as they are great. I just wish Country music in general would get more attention over here tbh...

Gotta love Lady A ;) and I loved that train song when I was in the states last week :D.
  10. Thats where I can imagine it! Just thinking logically and safety, fireballs out of wing were unlikely as its so near paved areas and really dangerous. So the logic is the fire truck gets struck with water puts out flames, however we have smoke billowing out of the fuselage and the wings :owhich will look so epic OMG can't wait deffo going on the 16th to just go on the ride then go to work at 4

  11. So, Discovery Store's closing down on Tuesday, making me jobless..... BUT I got an interview for sainsbury's on friday! :D
