  1. The entrance music was fantasic! Really added to the excitment and suited THORPE PARK very well!I can see why THORPE PARK are playing chart music instead of the entrance music because it appeals to most people visiting the park and it is an unthemed area however I miss it and want it back!

  2. When I visited THORPE PARK on Friday I have to say I was very impressed with the improvements made within the park! :( Colossus - The fountins looked very nice!New image - The new signs etc... The park has needed this for a few years now and it makes the park feel a little more complete =)KFC - It looks fantasic lots of new little bits to look at which is always good!Nemesis Inferno - The mist was very strong! Most of the red ights were not working though.Fences - Some have been painted!THORPE PARK have made a bigger effect this closed season to make the park look even better and I love what they have done!I love the new logos etc... I prefer the old logo and image however it all looks fantasic! :) WELL DONE THORPEY!

  3. I'm visiting the park on Friday 19th March and its apparently going to rain heavy :) I was just wondering what actions do THORPE PARK take if it rains in other words if its raining heavy do all rides have to close? and are there any rides which will not operate in rain?Thank you.

  4. I had the worst Vortex ride today.Okay so the restraints are a very sexy colour. But that doesnt mean you take out all the music! I could hear every creak as the ride was operating. Scared me a tad.

    No music at all? ^_^
  5. I don't hate the map... But there have been better styles and it just looks a little messy but hopefully it will grow on me!I'm glad THORPE PARK are putting lots of effort in with their new brand however I do prefer there old one The old logo looks better IMO but I am glad that they are freshining up their look :P

  6. I think it says something when the best themed things that can be thought of is the entrance plaza and the shops... And if you think that's "fantastic" theming I do wonder what you think of places like Disney, Universal.I sound like such an Alton fanboy, I'm not, but anyone who believes "the park itself" to have "fantastic theming" and Alton to have poor theming is , in my opinion, utterly dillusional. Also, where has the "Legend" story been "milked"? By my calculations it has been used once... on one ride... And even so how could that take away the "magic" do you walk around the park going, " You know what I would really be having a better time right now if they hadn't used a unique legend to create an brilliant ride experience"Agh, I really don't do these kind of posts very often at all but it is so frustrating, for me anyway.

Can u avoid calling me things like utterly delusional in the future please. THORPE PARK has some fantastic theming and of course other parks have better theming but I'm talking about the UK and IMO Thorpes theming is better than Altons and thats MY opinion and I said that from the very beginning its MY opinion so of course other people feel different. As for the legend thing its been used on Nemesis and Hex and now possibly Thirteen. They have too many dark themed rides IMO.
  7. One thing I without doubt, passionately disgree with is that the theming is good... What is there is good/ mediocre, but apart from Saw, the front half of Nemesis Inferno and Tidal Wave, where is there ANY theming? And also that its the best park in the UK, and that it is even anywhere near as magical/ atmospheric as Alton Towers. :P But the rest I agree with really :P

The park itself is well themed! Inside Port Atlantis, The Amity Cove Hotel, Thorpe Mega Store etc... they all fantastic theming. If you compare it to some of Alton Towers rides their theming is poor such as Air & Spinball Whizzer! I don't think Alton Towers is very magical anymore because they have milked it a bit by using different "legend" stories each time it kinda wears off quickly.
  8. I agree with all those points, except for the one I highlighted. I have to travel quite far to get to Thorpe Park, and I'd be pretty unhappy if they didnt let me in if it was full. Plus I'm sure that they let lots of people in, purely to rake the money in...

Good point! I just mean they could do something about the long queues but then again they have Fastrack so guess thats the only solution for the time being.
  9. GOOD POINTS: - The rides and themeing of course! The best in the UK IMO- The view from the entrance is breathtaking being able to see almost all the rides in there glory is amazing!- The staff are very friendly and make the day out even more enjoyable :P- The fact that the park is on an island it makes it very different and is more magical IMO than a park such as Alton Towers that is set in huge woodland. BAD POINTS: - The park can get VERY busy I think THORPE PARK should allow less numbers in on peak days.- Ride breakdowns are very common at the park however this improved ALOT in 2009! So hopefully 2010 will be even better!- Colossus REALLY needs a re-paint!Despite its bad points I love THORPE PARK I think its the best theme park in the UK and it annoys more when the guys over on towerstimes assume we are all chavs and don't have a clue about theme parks but each to there own :P How about you guys? :P:P:D

  10. We have taken our love for the place by joining this forum more than most guests they go to THORPE PARK, enjoy there day then move on with their lives however for me I have so much fun there that I have to get my THORPE PARK fix a few times a year and love looking at THORPE PARK videos, pics and listening to the audio even though I have been to the park 5 times this year dispite living nearly 3 hours away but all I can say is its a big part of my life I live for fun! :):):D What about you guys?

  11. I have always found thorpes staff to be 100% fantasic! :):) Although yesterday a member of staff was kind of rude to me and my sister :D We were having trouble pulling our restraints up because they kept getting stiff and he said "PULL IT UP!!" in a really angry way but I guess he was just trying to despach the train asap to help the queues :D but was kinda nasty to hear as I visit the park all the time and dont like to be speakon to rudely!
