May I just add that Professor X is hot *Runs**ETA- Holly also agrees!
-
Well clearly a lot of people care, otherwise we wouldn't be talking about how it's everywhere. It wouldn't be talked about on TV shows, it would just fizzle out.

Dude, wtf?Like Alex said, she's all over the media because she's been there ever since BB back in 2002. And I'm not taking anything away from your family's situation with your mum, I really sorry to hear that, but she's not in the public eye. It doesn't make it any worse because Jade is in the public eye, but if you were a newspaper you'd write about someone who a lot of people know.To suggest that any of the McCann's are famous is outrageous, they're not celebrities, it just so happens that the sort of thing they went through isn't as common, and obviously was a huge ordeal for everyone, which was why the media talked about it so much. Good for them for keeping awareness up. Same goes for Jade, she's using her celebrity status for something good, for once, she's providing for her children's future, as well as raising awareness, she's saving lives in the long run.

OMG this is horrible!I hope she makes the most of her remaining time left. My heart goes out to everyone involved
-
I'd just like to add. I apologise on the behalf of certain other members for any friction that was felt at Nandos. The people involved showed themselves up big time though, I wouldn't worry.Still come to meet ups
-
LMAO! It was a bit sore yesterday! =PFor everyone else's benefit, Chris decided to take a running jump up to me, and in doing so managed to make my back and neck crack lol. Was worse than a Vekoma!

In all fairness it depends on which group of people you're with. If you're with 14- 16 year olds, they tend to get hyper and literally run off everywhere. LOL. No offense to anyone.I know how you feel Frankie, and I know that a few others felt exactly the same as you did, just pick who you go around with more carefully next time ;)Not that it makes it okay, people should be more aware of others at meet- ups. It's not on.

I wants to see the group pics.. I think there's about 20 lmao.

Just about to do the mandatory 'I'm leaving' post.So yeah..... I'm leaving!! Byeeee.

I'm being pedantic, but Tussauds bought the Towers in 1990. =DI wouldn't worry too much about this, the objections have hardly anything valid. This coaster will be quieter than corkscrew, less visable, and it's even stated in the report that the resort predicts a fall in gate figures after an initial rise in 2010.Most of the objections seem to be unfounded, yet they also can be a genuine concern for people. Remember the council has the job of taking into consideration both points of view.

Is the Uk Theme Park Industry going down the drain?
Sheepie replied to Will's topic in General Discussion
I don't think our theme park industry here in the UK is going down the drain at all. Personally I think it's something that is just going to be improved on and get better. The main issue is obviously funds. We're lucky because Merlin/ Blackstone are quite well off so we can continue to see investment in their theme parks. The UK theme parks will always have issues receiving planning permission, and to be fair in Alton's case it's just because it's in the media and stuff that we know so much about the problems they have. Alton's restrictions will just force the development team to get creative and work out solutions to any major issues. Hopefully :(Thorpe is very flat in general and therefore landscaping costs a bomb. There was an interview with Wardley somewhere talking about digging the cobra roll pit for Colossus and saying how expensive it was. But yeah, Saw will no doubt ensure another fantastic season in terms of attendance and therefore profit. Some of the non- Merlin parks may have some troubles as they're not in a massive company to protect them but as Hurri mentioned, Adventure Island seems to be coming on in leaps and bounds. So it's mainly positive. And I'm waffling. I'll end it there I think! -
Don't worry there are plenty of saddos on here :(Including me! Although I haven't had a dream about Saw, I've had dreams about other rides in the past, hehe! I'm looking forward to Saturday... hearing/ seeing updates from both Thorpe and Alton. I'm expecting many fanboy shots of the sexy station building!

IN all honesty nobody has a right to tell you what to do Jamie. On average it was costing me between £140 and £160 a month to get to Chessie with a young person's railcard. I had so many people telling me what I should and shouldn't do. I hindsight I'm glad I stuck at it for a season because it was such a fantastic experience. I wouldn't take it back for anything.

Very interesting BTS interviews and things regarding Manta. You may have seen it, but for those of you that haven't, there are 7 parts, so just look for them in the related videos bit, hehe. I now seriously can't wait to ride this when I go later this year.

Absolutely immense! Gave me goosebumps... I found it really moving! LOL.
-
I would hope that there was some scenery in the outside queueline, although I've got a feeling most of it will be inside. A lot of the queue is cattlepen therefore not really allowing space to add anything major.
-
Could be a clue I guess, or they just meant 2nd and put 3rd by accident *shrugs* spose we'll find out in a few weeks!

It's on TowersTimes, I didn't say it at first because I wanted to encourage discussion here. And that's the first thing I thought as well... 'Don't Blink' is one of my fave episodes along with most others by Stephen Moffat, but that's besides the point LOL. If the ride was to capture that same amount of atmosphere then it's gonna be awesome. And Meme, you could try adjusting the brightness of your monitor or.... you could go and look at the picture over at TTF in the SW6 topic.

Thought I'd come by and get this topic talking again.Over on another forum, a very interesting member has popped up and has posted some interesting inside info. This includes pictures of the new Skyride gondolas, the official logo for Sharkbait Reef, info on the park's new shows and some interesting tidbits regarding Duel for the 2009 season. He's also aqquired a section of the 2009 park map.Okay so either an insider, or someone with access to inside information. This is where things get juicy and creepy. On the location bit on their profile it says, "knil erutingis eht kcilc," which is "click the signiture link," backwards (seriously that took me ages to type that). So when you click the signiture link, it comes up with a series of photos. Have a ganders here!So the first image seriously creeped me out when I first saw it LOL. If you look at it the right angle (try standing up and lookingdown at your PC monitor from above), a message that says "2010, it's coming," appears. Yesterday's image doesn't have a hidden message, but the file name is, "watch the ground." And today's image says to, "watch the statue."Now, if we look back at those station plans again, you can clearly see the statue that looms over the entrance, I think it is. This keeps getting creepier by the day, and I dunno if it's someone hinting at the storyline who has inside info, or someone employed specifically to get us all talking and then this is the start of a viral ad campaign. Or, it could be someone winding us all up. Either way I don't care because it's really creepy and I'm enjoying it

If we were getting clones of rides then it'd be a dfferent story, but seeing as all three theme parks have coasters that offer very different experiences, I don't see the problem. :)Edit: Haha, Iskander beat me to it

Yes but it doesn't open for another month.

I can't tell you what the image in my head is right now! Ha!And a press preview this early? I can totally envisage massive publicity coverage for this ride.
