Good Afternoon all of you wonderful people! I'm very excited to officially announce plans for our Doctor Oakwood Meet 2015! The date of the event is the Weekend of Saturday 15th (Oakwood) - Sunday 16th (Cardiff) August 2015! As decided by you. As you can see it's the whole weekend! Which gives you a choice - come on the Saturday, come on the Sunday or stay the whole weekend! Please take note if you plan to stay with us overnight, it will be your responsibility to book your own rooms and unfortunately if your under 18 we cannot help you with this! If you were to stay the night - under no circumstances will TPM get involved and take responsibility with how you stay overnight, as for the overnight section of the trip will be an over 18's event.. We will however like to see you during the day at the park (or town centre on the Sunday ) The Outline of the day/s will be as follows: Oakwood Day Meet by the entrance at 09:45 am so we can sort out our tickets for when the park opens at 10am. Please bear in mind we will leave without you if you are late as it’s not fair on time keepers! If by any chance you happen to miss this meet point due to travel arrangements or just plain lateness you can either phone or text so we can arrange to meet you. As members have found out! We will then go and enjoy our day at Oakwood. I know not everyone will want to do some of the rides at Oakwood. If you decide to not come on please be polite and wait for everyone to come off and chat to other members whilst you are waiting. Or go off and do another attraction as long as you’ll be back after the group has finished riding the attraction. Please respect other people’s wishes who wish to ride certain things that you yourself may not be too keen with. During the day, around half 1, we will stop for a bite to eat where you can go and eat where you like and we will arrange where to meet after everyone has finished eating. (Who knows we might all want to eat the same thing anyway ) After lunch we will group together for the Official Group Photo for the day and continue going round the park. Around 7-8 we will have a quick snack somewhere to keep us going and then continue riding the attractions people want to do until the park closes. . The day will finish off at 10pm when Oakwood hold a fantastic Fireworks Display. Day In Cardiff As we are already in Wales and a 12 hour stint at Oakwood is good enough, we will finish with a more relaxing day in Cardiff and go and try out the redone Doctor Who Experience. We will be meeting in the town at Half 10 and the day will consist of the experience, a bit of mini golf, a meal near the harbour and also a swim in the Cardiff International Pool which hosts a nice number of water slides. This should keep us going until around 7pm when we will start saying our goodbyes. This day will have a better timetable nearer the meet due to the nature of the availability of the attractions. However those that are interested in exploring Cardff for the day will all be informed and kept in the loop but the basis of the day is to relax a bit more and get to know people outside of the theme park environment. I will be handing out my phone number for everyone who is attending the meet that day, should there be any problems. We aim to stay together as a group for the day, going from one activity to the next, enjoying getting to know people you share very similar interests with, the idea is to just go with the flow and enjoy the day with some awesome people. There will be many photo’s in the day being taken and the possibility of a few video clips. Whilst we cannot force you to stay with the group, it is the general purpose of these meets! You will have my number (and some of the senior teams) if you become split so by all means use it. The meets are a fantastic laugh and everyone is invited, even if you have never posted before or been to any kind of meet at all. Originally meets were given 3 months notice so people who needed to book time off who wanted to go, had enough time to do so. Being a weekend trip as well more notice is needed so rooms can be booked at cheaper rates and so people can get organised. 2 weeks is also plenty of notice in my opinion and the date has been a clear winner from the get go. It's also how it has worked the last 2 years. - originally the polls were open for less than a week. Even though we of course want as many people to go, we cannot unfortunately please everyone and personally I think this is a better system than just announcing a date and hoping for the best without giving any choice. I understand you have shifts so planning for yourself can be difficult but there are also many other members who prefer this system and was suggested by the members in the 'what do you expect' from a meet topic and until now other particular members are still yet to voice their concerns to me. So I have taken your comments on board and will address when necessary

Thorpe Park have finally released their Ministry of Sound dates which means I'm very excited to officially announce plans for our Get Me Out Of Ministry Of Sound Official Meet at Thorpe Park! The date of the event is Saturday 18th July 2015. There will be 4 parts to this meet - Thorpe Park during the day and trying out the new Celebrity Get Me Out of Here Attraction and a picnic afterwards that can be enjoyed by everyone and the clubbing event & Overnight stay to try out the Shark Hotel in the evening which is unfortunately over 18's only! (Or if your me T5 Travelodge ) We will also be extending our hand to the Towers Nerds & Towers Street, in the hope of another great joint meet, by coming down south to join us for the event. This is a fantastic opportunity to socialise with our northern counterparts and to show that the enthusiast community spreads further than one forum. The Outline of the day will be as follows: Meet by the annual pass entrance at 09:30 am by the cash machine just on the off chance the gates could possibly open earlier than advertised such as last year. As soon as the gates open we will go into the park, if by any chance you happen to miss this meet point due to travel arrangements or just plain lateness you can either phone or text so we can arrange to meet you or . This first part of the morning we will make the most of the quiet park and churn out those rides. Please bear in mind we will leave without you if you are late as it’s not fair on time keepers! The date of the event is the Weekend of Saturday 20th (Alton Towers) - Sunday 21st (Drayton Manor) June 2015! A date you managed to change it too due to your votes. As you can see it's the whole weekend! Which gives you a choice - come on the Saturday, come on the Sunday or stay the whole weekend! Please take note if you plan to stay with us overnight, it will be your responsibility to book your own rooms and unfortunately if your under 18 we cannot help you with this! The Outline of the day/s will be as follows: Alton Towers Day Meet by the frog jumping fountains at 09:00 am just inside the entrance if you wish to take advantage of the park's ERT. We will hover for 5 minutes whilst everyone gets together but then going off for ERT, if by any chance you happen to miss this meet point due to travel arrangements/ Cannot participate in ERT or just plain lateness you can either a) phone or text so we can arrange to meet you or meet up at the second meeting point later in the day. This first part of the morning we will make the most of the quiet park and churn out those rides. Once the park starts to fill up a little we will get to the Nemesis Egg outside Sub-Terra in Forbidden Valley, so if for whatever reason you could not get there for opening you can meet us at 10:30 am if you had not arranged to meet beforehand via phone. We will then continue visiting the attractions and it will be arranged beforehand that we will try our best to get on all the attractions.. Well after a long close battle - the date has finally been chosen for Monday 25th May 2015 Bring some entertainment - the queues are going to be long!

I did one in Spain last year & it was awesome! We were part of the Mafia trying to hide the evidence before the cops showed up. I remember the panic setting in when I managed to get in the lounge and there was a timer like you see in Saw that showed how much time was left. The race was on - me and Jaymiee got through loads of puzzles and equations and thought we had nailed it, but we sadly got locked in and only then did we realise how much more we were yet to solve #FAIL Fantastic attractions & I plan to try as many out as I can. The closest experience to taking part in the Crystal Maze you will get!

and as you know I'm a bigger fan than you when it comes to that type of fun - however it appears anything after he preview day has been a completely different attraction

Well according I'm a lover of dark rides & experiences - It pains me to say this: With the low throughput, that didn't bother me as it made me think that we would have plenty of time within the attraction. I don't mind waiting 45 minutes if the attraction will take 20 minutes for example. Better than a 45 second ride in that sense. However with the low throughput the queue line was a killer. We went up for a 60 minute queue and with the number of people in front we could tell it would be slow - but we were prepared. However according their are TV screens on most of the other attractions, some queue line entertainment was in my opinion needed. Just do something simple like show the best bits of bush tucker trials over the series. Also for being an indoor attraction have a sheltered queue line..... just some cheap canopy covers like they do for Angry Birds 4D but that's probably asking too much. The queue line wasn't helped by the fact that the Vamps decided to do a photo shoot outside the attraction for half an hour so the queue stopped during their presence. The outside of the building looked good and the inside looks incredible and whilst watching the pre-show with Ant & Dec, with what happens in that room I originally thought that was a good way to set up what will be ahead. After all why would they do the best effects at the beginning? Surely that's a taster of what is to come? We get guided around a couple of rooms and the actors get us ready for the bush tucker trials. This point I'm proper excited - I love an experience type of attraction and something that's indoors for a bit of a break and I was all geared up for it. Please bear in mind I do no research on these type of attractions beforehand so I don't build up expectations and just go in and see what happens etc. Then the Bush Tucker Trials started and it all started slipping dramatically. Holey Moley that was OK, was a race to find those buttons to get to the next room and not knowing what would be in the holes. Not much more they could of done with that really so was up to standard in my opinion. Yes it would of been good to try and unscrew a star but realistically if that happened no one would get through the attraction with the time that would take to set up. So yes was an OK start but it's the first trial it's getting you geared up. Shame it ended up being the best. The second trial when you get into the showers, I saw it and was like WOW this is going to be awesome. I get into my cubicle and answer the questions. I however have no idea what shower I'm in so don't know if I won the questions or not. However 2 different showers won their appropriate questions so surely something would happen in the shower at least once? Sadly not at all. I ended up leaving the shower thinking how utterly pointless was that. You press a button and literally nothing happens. When I entered I saw a mechanism above me thinking ooooo something will drop on me. However nothing did. I also thought some air might go off or sounds to make you think your in the shower with something but no that didn't happen either. The most that happened was that the lights dimmed for 5 seconds. So I have no idea what that room is meant to do but I just found myself standing there with nothing happening. We then left the showers and we had a couple of routes we could choose to find the 3rd trial. A bit of a maze in fact (par very small) but with the themeing and interior design looks really good and lifted up the maze & I knew the 3rd and final trial would be the cyclone. The finale of the attraction - The trial that will leave you a lasting impression. The most fun trial on the TV series. Therefore it must be good. However it's fair to say I have no idea what happened on the 3rd Trial. After getting out the squeegees I was told to run up a hill and press some buttons. I clambered under this net, I felt a slight breeze but nothing more than what was outside on Saturday, pressed a few buttons and was told to go down this tunnel. I was so confused and had no idea what I was meant to have done. I might as well have just continued doing the little maze section before the 3rd Trial - at least that was more challenging. So I came out the other end of the attraction feeling very deflated and wondering what the heck it was trying to do. I loved the atmosphere and what they have done with the scenery inside but I get no point to the attraction with trials that don't work! I hope it will end up being like Sub-Terra where it opened not that good and after they sorted out the teething problems its ended up being one of the best attractions there but it pains me to say it again after my love of dark rides & cheesy attractions that with all my very low standards that keep me happy (It doesn't take that much to please me) I came out thinking what a waste & have never thought so poorly of a Merlin Attraction. I usually big them up to all those that knock them down, but this time I find it very hard to defend this attraction other than it looks very nice.....

It's a busy period so I'd imagine it'll be smallish but those meets generally mean you get to spend some quality time with people & great for those who want to try their first meet and intimidated by larger numbers! There will be another optional Ice breaker game named, could be Lego Bingo if people want that back (details sent to those attending) The meet is on Monday 25th May 2015. As voted by YOU The Outline of the day will be as follows: Meet by the Lego Dinosaur at the entrance plaza before you go down to the Hill Side Tram between 09:30 and 10:00 am opposite the entrance by the green. As soon as the gates for the rest of the park open we will go into the park. If by any chance you happen to miss this meet point due to travel arrangements or just plain lateness you can either a) phone or text so we can arrange to meet you or meet up at the second meeting point later in the day. Once the park starts to fill up a little bit more we will calm down slightly and then have a chill for 15 minutes around the lighthouse by Wave Surfer so if for whatever reason you could not get there for opening you can meet us at 11:30 am if you had not arranged to meet beforehand via phone. Please bear in mind we will leave without you if you are late as it’s not fair on time keepers! A couple of members have found out this on previous meets. We will then continue visiting the attractions and we will try our best to get on all the attractions people wish to ride, which will be arranged before the meet. One thing that has been annoying in the past is the decision making on where to go next and then the group changing their minds if a queue is above a certain level. This just ends us up in the past riding less as we spend a lot of the time deciding where to go. I know not everyone will want to do some of the rides at Legoland, but at the end of the day Legoland is more than just the rides. If you decide to not come on please be polite and wait for everyone to come off and chat to other members whilst you are waiting. Or go off and do another attraction as long as you’ll be back after the group has finished riding the attraction. If you are going I will be talking to you beforehand to see what attractions you are most keen to do so I can make sure I can arrange the day so that everyone gets a chance to ride what they wish to ride. Well now the dome stays open for hotel guests and after park closes they still sell food, I've stayed after for a couple of pints now and haven't been asked to leave But it's soooooo on topic, it's still discussing what to do that day
