  1. My friend said he once heard someone say that when rides like stealth get stuck at the top, the reason they want to get the train down so quickly is that "the track won't support the weight of the train and might collapse." He laughed XD
  2. If anything I've found the younger-than-teen crowd worse XD some of the things they come out with... a couple of kids behind us in the Zodiac queue were arguing as to why they should invent a rollercoaster that goes at the speed of sound. And we were in front of some kids in the Saw queue (see, I am totally on topic >.>) who would NOT STOP WHINING about the ride.If everyone behaved appropriately the age group of visitors wouldn't be a problem, but that won't happen, so I guess we just put up with what we have to deal with.
  3. *concurs* Well if you think about it, it's not as if it's going to be full of families: that's what they have Chessington for. This is the peak time for students to go as exams are just finishing, or have already finished for some universities, so for anyone wishing to avoid the adolescent-thrillseeker-surge.... go earlier? :/
  4. Ah that I did not know Should look interesting.
  5. I am not going back til Fright Night, but I'd love to see those effects on the ride still in place during the dark. Should be great.
  6. Glad to see them finally putting effort into fixing the ride theming after so long ^^
  7. Yeah I knew when the pictures were from, but someone said they have the red lights back so I assumed they'd have got it looking similar to back then.Glad to see some of the theming coming back, it improved the rides loads.
  8. It didn't look like that earlier in the week damn, that really does look impressive if that's what they've got it like again.
  9. When did they get that fixed? Because I was at the park on Wednesday and didn't think any of the effects were working...
  10. Samurai happens to be my fave at the moment, because I think they cranked the settings up after repairing it. It was certainly much faster than when I was there last Fright Night and gave me some of the best thrills I had all day, it was amazing. Saw might end up growing on me, and I'm planning on going next October and think it'll probably be a good thing to ride on in the dark.
  11. A couple of the comments on page 3 sum it up pretty well but I'll just say what came to mind when I was on it:- It's one hell of a rough ride. The first time didn't bother me much but the second time, god I got off with a bad headache. I think there just isn't enough padding to support your head in the seats considering the rough turns and drops.- I was bitterly disappointed with the outside theming... it's all randomly thrown together chunks of wood which I imagine are probably there for when the sponsorship deal runs out and they need to do soemthing else with it but come on, it could have had a lot more effort put into it. Inside theming was good though.- On the subect of the inside: aren't the pendulums meant to swing...? Also I reckon for the first drop they should have done the lighting so that it wasn't evident the spikes were there until you actually dropped, so maybe timed the lighting with the drop for greater impact.- The vertical lift did pretty much what it meant to because I was bricking it - The rest of the track is good and there are some nice drops, but it's a little unimaginative. Now I'm not at all saying it's a bad ride, and I enjoyed it more the second time round. I just think it didn't quite live up to the hype that surrounded it, and there are still other rides in TP that I would rather go on than that. But to each his own, I suppose.
  12. Yeah we probably should have stayed the extra 15 minutes, but when the ride reopened it was only a 30 minute wait anyway (yes, they have died down.) Queue times for most things were pretty good, the first time we went on Stealth it was a total of 5-10 minutes to get on the front.I have to say though, after all the hype I was disappointed by the ride :/ Anyone else find this? Since I err..haven't yet gone through the whole of this thread to read people's comments..
  13. What annoyed me is that my friend and I were queuing for about 40 minutes to get on Saw yesterday at the start of the day when it broke down. The woman on the tannoy advised people to leave, so we left and went to line up for Samurai instead. And then we saw a group of 3 guys go join the queue line, they were there for about 5 minutes before they came back out victorious because they had been given exit passes when they hadn't even been lined up since the morning. It was hardly fair.
