  1. If the park reaches a certain amount of people by about 2/3 in the afternoon, they will increase the opening time by half hour/hour usually an hour

It would improve the queue I guess with 4, but yeah wont happen lol. As for the track, it could be repainted and with that I think the supports should be painted too. Not sure what colour though, maybe purple or black. Just need to make sure its not as random as the paint job on the Safari Skyway supports.

I think Bubbleworks audio system has failed recently. The voice in the first scene has not been working for like half the season, the dunkin ducks part is tempremental (sp) decides when it wants to come on, and there were problems with the station music too recently. The speakers built into the outdoor building of Bubbleworks should be used in the ride, they were really loud and set the transylvanian theme.
  4. Totally agree with you there ^^ I feel that this season has been one of the best. The fact that there were more queues this year on busier days shows that the park is getting high gate figures again, which is great for its development. I'm looking forward to seeing what the 2010 relaunch is supposedly like. All the effects working everywhere would be a dream come true (mind you, there is only a few I think... most of them pointing to Rattlesnake). I was sad and kept count of my rides and I completed 340 over 25 visits. 36 of which on Vampire - Cheers chessie! See you in 2010

No-one's mentioned this. But I thought Bubbleworks was actually hilarious during the Halloween period with all of the characters inside having some kind of Halloween theming added to them. The egg having a pillowcase over it as a ghost. At least the park put effort into making the inside of this ride halloweeny. The other rides (apart from Vampire) that I went on didnt seem to have much theming inside, so the effort was good. Just hoping the park makes use of the closed season and repaints the exterior queue, which especially inside looked inexcuseable. Although I'm sure come May it will be the same again.

Have to agree, out of Dragons Fury and Vampire at Halloween, I'd choose Vampire HANDS DOWN, the theming this year was ridiculously great. The station, and the tunnel which shocked everyone! Credit to everyone who worked on it. Even the two curtains leading into the station made the effect even more fantastic. Just hope the station can have the music that loud. Thats another thing. The music is so good and you can't ever got bored of it. Still not sure whether front of back is better though. Vampire at Halloween is the best experience ever.
  7. Park should re-open 27th March 2010 then
  8. Also, they still need (not sure if they have now) but they DID need to get the go-ahead for the new land, planning permission ect. If this decision was delayed, they would need Beanoland to remain open for a while longer.

No. It really did re-open today, its called wealding it together again, and the enginneers did a FANTASTIC job at getting it back in operation so quickly! Well done Vamps engineering team!

Sometimes its not THAT easy. Sometimes its not as simple as just fixing it. It depends on how bad the damage was. If it was small, then yes there is a SMALL chance it COULD be back tomorrow, however owing to what I heard the damage was quite big, so then again it could be some days/weeks before it returns. Also, the park may not have a spare lift hill chain just floating around somewhere, there is the possibility they may have to send off for a new one, and then wait for it to be delivered and then fix it. So it could take a while.Vampire is an excellent ride for reliability and has been so good this year. The ride I know for a FACT has a fantastic engineering team who often work overnight to fix problems with the ride to make sure it is available for the next days operation.Although it will be bad for Chessington, being the summer holidays, its just one of those things that happens. However fingers crossed that Vampire will be back in operation soon !

I visited the park yesterday and was working fine until mid afternoon. I later heard from someone that the chain on the 2nd lift had broken. I'm not saying this is true but it's what I heard.
