  1. That was one of the possible locations for the 2015 coaster. Could be preparation for a new flat ride. Doubt we'll see another water ride as they've just got Storm Surge.

  2. Been a while since the last update on here. We are making progress with the new site, but there have been delays. We have however created a blank page site with information on the relaunch here. One of our admins, Michael Denton is in the process of creating shirts for the team members! If you see him at the park tomorrow sporting a Roller Coaster XTREME t-shirt, feel free to ask any questions on our progress and if you would like to join the site team. Here are some pictures of the latest designsFRONTPosted ImageBACK (a work in progress)Posted ImageWe have Storm Surge/Annual Pass Day coverage on the way this evening as well!We are still expanding our team! We're looking for moderators for our new forum, news writers/researchers and people who can contribute to the site. PM me or email rollercoasterxtreme@hotmail.co.uk.

  3. They can always re-theme the attraction to another film :P. Leavesden will be WB's European base so there will no doubt be another franchise that they can use for the attraction once Potter gets old...but as they are likely to do a remake in 20 years...I can see potter staying .EDIT: From Mugglenet

Since posting this story we've heard from Romley Davis, a company who is working with Warner Brothers to create the museum at Leavesden Studios. They've confirmed to us that there are currently no plans for a UK park.Additionally, we can now exclusively reveal that an announcement will be made this Thursday regarding the behind the scenes look at Harry Potter being built at Leavesden Studios - the place they've filmed all eight Potter films! We'll post as soon as we get the info.

  4. I don't know what's better, cheesy and happy dark ride with lots of happy looking cocoa beans scattered about the place...or awesome new state of the art dark ride with huge dragons and giant spiders, state of the art animantronics themed to the Harry Potter characters and an amazing KUKA arm ride vehicle that sends you hurtling different directions?I think CADABRA is better..... NOT:rolleyes:

  5. That does not mean that it will be a theme park though. The way I see it, they've just enhanced the plans for the exhibition to accommodate some extra live actors and possibly more special effects and a few rides...bit like the London Dungeon .Of course we all want to see a theme park but it just seems very unlikely.

  6. Unlikely but brilliant if it does happen. They did confirm that they are planning on opening a harry potter attraction but not a theme park. Really hoping they are planning on opening a theme park, will give Merlin a good kick up the backside . Competition is needed very badly in the UK.EDIT: Found this earlier. “It is going to be a large attraction where people can see where all the Harry Potter films were produced. There won’t be any other place in the world where you can see actual sets and see actual place of filming, but it is not going to be theme park – it is going to be an exhibit.”The articile this was taken from was posted in November so plans could have changed...but very unlikely.

  7. We are currently seeking a new team for the website and forum. Please PM me or email rollercoasterxtreme@hotmail.co.uk.The website will be closing later this week whilst we design a NEW website! A host/server has been chosen along with the software. We will be using Wordpress. We are looking for people who can write news articles on the site and people who can help maintain the sitewww.rollercoasterxtreme.comMOD EDIT: Our greatest apologies - here now though! :)

  8. The majority of people dislike Stand-Up's. They are not very popular any more which is a very good reason for thorpe not to build one.If you like Stand-Up's then that's fine KnightKnuckle, but you really should respect other peoples' opinions.I've never ridden one so it's not for me to judge how good a Stand-Up is, but most people who have been Stand-Ups are saying that they are not very good. Thorpe would rather have something that the majority of people would actually approve of and not a very unpopular ride that is not particularly liked by many people.

  9. What do you mean that a Woodie won't suit thorpe park? A woodie would suit the park very well. The only issue is that the engineering team have not been trained to maintain wooden coasters so they do not want the park to build one. A Woodie may also be too dense for the island as well. But a woodie does suit thorpe park. If they were to get a woodie it would be brilliant.I don't think that LC12 will be a woodie, though .

  10. Marc, this year Thorpe have not done better imo . Next year they will but I don't think a plonked down waterslide is tbh (maybe if the rumoured X:/WTF redecoration is of a high quality). Thorpe isn't bad , it's the chavs people they attract and the annoying 2010 branding of the park.

  11. Second half of the rides completely pointless, uncomfortable, slow, boring. First half is rough and the drop is slooooow.

It starts off quite well, the airtime hill is very good and the head chopper effect under the bridge still fools me today. Yes it gets a bit rubbishy towards the end which is a shame. The in-line twists are fun but the train goes very slowly through those inversions. The train is uncomfortable and badly designed which lets the ride down quite a bit! If only they can get new trains in, the ride will be so much better!
  12. It's all down to opinion tbh. Some people really like Colossus and some people don't. but my opinion is that it sucks :P. I've tried to give Colossus a chance but every time I ride it it seems a bit...... well...meh!
