  1. The Planned Trips and Reports Forum, then click Alton Towers Trip Plans? ;)

  2. Wait, so how do I get to my topic? :S

  3. Don't know if anyone's seen, but at Towerstimes they're going on about a 4D like it's a god-given fact. Doing the usual rounds about beating Thorpe's wing-rider, etc. Also, aren't there massive issues with height at Alton Towers? Anything tall would have to be considerably dug in.
  4. I merged your topic with the existing Alton Towers Trip Planning Topic in the relevant sub-forum. It was buried so not to worry. I replied to your post. :)

  5. So yeah, 3rd post, I think. First topic. Woot for newbs! Anyway, I just wanted to ask for some help. But first, a long winded story, because of course if there's one thing we all like it's a good backstory My headmaster is a roller-coaster enthusiast. Pretty cool in itself, but since his son goes to his school, that means his son has gone to all these (U.K!) parks that I had never even heard of. Drayton Manor, Oakwood and some others which I can't remember. The important thing is that he loves rollercoasters, even talking about them in assemblies on occasions (there was one great one where he turned Nemesis Inferno into a metaphor for Jesus, but that's for another time!). To cut the long story short, his son and I got into this mahoosive talk about Alton towers, and I decided to go in the summer holidays. A long way away for Londoner, so I'm staying the night with two mates and my dad.Any tips? How big is it? We are thrill seekers mainly, but are up for the odd Hex or Spinball. Suggestions for getting the most out of our time?
  6. No. I doubt there is going to be a story. This is just the marketing, when the ride comes out, it will be forgotten. My question now Will this make up for it's own numbers? What's its throughput? And is it a step towards beating Alton ?
  7. There it is, "Lez Coogan" again WHAT DOES IT MEAN
  8. If that's the case ( and I think it probably is), then what does LC12 stand for? Something to do with Christopher... It sounds irrelevant, but it might have something to do with the overall name ( which is 100% certain to be DOOMSDAY or BOOMBANGCRASHEXPLOSION in traditional Thorpe Style )Hmmm.Actually, Thorpe names tend to be something that a voiceover man can say in a serious tone of voice and not sound stupid, so... Endtimes?Anyway, this is all looking really awesome. But I am worried that they need to invest in something colourful before the place seems like a graveyard.Oh wait, Storm Surge
  9. Les Cougen? How did he pronounce it? Am I stupid for not knowing what he was talking about? :-SBut I think the marketing is pretty awesome, actually, and shows how ( RELATIVELY!) close the new coaster is.(First post wooot!)
