  1. Mmm noooo lemon pledge :PI like it, it's different and creative I guess 7/10
  2. I agree too! I couldn't quite believe the amount of water in the raft, my feet and ankles were soaked and all for a quick credit before heading home! That hoover on the platform still looks boxfresh to be honest...
  3. Well....this is certainly a bolt from the blue, considering it was only re-tracked in 2009.I guess due to running costs, target audience and other factors it's just not fitting in with the parks blueprint. I thought railways were an essential part of any theme park and at 22 years old this ride has just about seen everything (theme park development wise)A crying shame as I love smaller guage in-park railways....

Yes!! Karl is awesome as you can see from my avatar Still prefer the podcasts myself and the old XFM shows but this series has been excellent so far......
  8. Wow, can't wait to see how the train flows through the inversion / drop and into the Zero G. Loving the constant updates too via the time lapse camera. For me, this is the most important coaster build in years (in the UK) so its great being able to follow every moment
  9. Another local park of mine :)Loved Wicksteed, used to go with my aunt and uncle every few Sundays or so and have a picnic. I remember them having literally one of the best playgrounds but then it's no surprise as most play parks (at least that I've seen) round the country are built by "Wicksteed Leisure"
  10. Great stuff! You can just see the end of track creeping into picture. Loving the fact you'll be facing the water on the way down
  11. Karl Pilkington: (on doppelgangers) How would I know which one I was?

  12. Hey, no worries Sarah, always nice to meet someone with some fresh enthusiasm for TP. Haha, why thank you, are you a fan of Karl Pilkington too then?

  13. Another "Theme UK" update from yesterday.....Full set can be found Here
  14. Good stuff! So with the last 'A' frame half way up in that picture this morning we should see a near enough complete lifthill in pictures later tonight
  15. Loving this, such a welcome sight after work to see constant progress :)Roughly comparing this to the Planning documentation the next section of track should top this lifthill off, looks like it could be an interesting weekend for anyone taking pictures
  16. Haha, no worries mate ;)Just a quick overview pic here taken within the last hour by UK Theme Park News, looks quiet on-site today
  17. Cheers for the pictures mate, infact well done to everyone on here for the sheer number of updates over the last few days That picture is the magnetic brakes Ben, below is the trim piece of track in question (credit to Daniel Hotton of Merlin Mania). I can't remember who I discussed this with but I can only apologise, you called it right on the positioning of the trim
  18. So now the entry to the zero G is going in, lovely *phew* after all those weeks of looking at mud I'm struggling to keep up with the pace this things going up!
  19. Some photos from yesterday, thanks to Theme UK The rest can be found at http://www.themeuk.net/LC12_Thorpe_ParkPG1.html scroll down to the bottom of the page

    Football

Strange times for us (Nottingham Forest) at present, half the board sacked, Mclarens walked and the owner is to step down at the end of the season. We make such a mess of things.....and to think if only Majewski would of passed instead of shooting at 1 - 0, funny old game
  21. Good stuff, I'm suprised that with a station as colossal as this there will be very little indoor queueline. I can't help but feel they missed a trick there but anyway here are some better photos of the station structure....Credit to "Go Merlin" for the picturesThe full set can be found here
  22. Haha, It's like that for me all the time too. Scary thought, considering theres another 45yrs of work ahead! The crazy thing is I seem to be taking on more work than ever but for less pay! I can understand why people emigrate now, even in a recession at least you've got the sunshine. In this country you get charged for anything and everything. That'll include some national forests if the goverment get their own way...
  23. It's an interesting spot but I can assure you there is nothing in this, it's literally how the park map was designed for this season.http://lc12.co.uk/ride/layout/lc12From the layout in the link, which to this point have not been revised (apart from original submission) it clearly states that there will only be two access points. One of them being maitenance....If there was going to be another bridge constructed we would have seen some planning documentation by now.
  24. Sunkern Gardens.I don't believe this will be happening just yet, I think judging by the current MTDP they will be looking to bring this access into play when the 2015 coaster opens (assuming island A will be used) The fence is merely there as a way of saying to the GP "Hey look what we're building!" and Stealth being 'possibly' the most popular ride in the park what better place to put it than right next to the entrance. As it's on a seperate island from the rest of the park theres no need for actual themed construction fences....
