  1. Another local park of mine :)Loved Wicksteed, used to go with my aunt and uncle every few Sundays or so and have a picnic. I remember them having literally one of the best playgrounds but then it's no surprise as most play parks (at least that I've seen) round the country are built by "Wicksteed Leisure"
  2. Great stuff! You can just see the end of track creeping into picture. Loving the fact you'll be facing the water on the way down
  3. Another "Theme UK" update from yesterday.....Full set can be found Here
  4. Good stuff! So with the last 'A' frame half way up in that picture this morning we should see a near enough complete lifthill in pictures later tonight
  5. Loving this, such a welcome sight after work to see constant progress :)Roughly comparing this to the Planning documentation the next section of track should top this lifthill off, looks like it could be an interesting weekend for anyone taking pictures
  6. Haha, no worries mate ;)Just a quick overview pic here taken within the last hour by UK Theme Park News, looks quiet on-site today
  7. Cheers for the pictures mate, infact well done to everyone on here for the sheer number of updates over the last few days That picture is the magnetic brakes Ben, below is the trim piece of track in question (credit to Daniel Hotton of Merlin Mania). I can't remember who I discussed this with but I can only apologise, you called it right on the positioning of the trim
  8. So now the entry to the zero G is going in, lovely *phew* after all those weeks of looking at mud I'm struggling to keep up with the pace this things going up!
  9. Some photos from yesterday, thanks to Theme UK The rest can be found at http://www.themeuk.net/LC12_Thorpe_ParkPG1.html scroll down to the bottom of the page

Strange times for us (Nottingham Forest) at present, half the board sacked, Mclarens walked and the owner is to step down at the end of the season. We make such a mess of things.....and to think if only Majewski would of passed instead of shooting at 1 - 0, funny old game
  11. Good stuff, I'm suprised that with a station as colossal as this there will be very little indoor queueline. I can't help but feel they missed a trick there but anyway here are some better photos of the station structure....Credit to "Go Merlin" for the picturesThe full set can be found here
  12. Haha, It's like that for me all the time too. Scary thought, considering theres another 45yrs of work ahead! The crazy thing is I seem to be taking on more work than ever but for less pay! I can understand why people emigrate now, even in a recession at least you've got the sunshine. In this country you get charged for anything and everything. That'll include some national forests if the goverment get their own way...
  13. It's an interesting spot but I can assure you there is nothing in this, it's literally how the park map was designed for this season.http://lc12.co.uk/ride/layout/lc12From the layout in the link, which to this point have not been revised (apart from original submission) it clearly states that there will only be two access points. One of them being maitenance....If there was going to be another bridge constructed we would have seen some planning documentation by now.
  14. Sunkern Gardens.I don't believe this will be happening just yet, I think judging by the current MTDP they will be looking to bring this access into play when the 2015 coaster opens (assuming island A will be used) The fence is merely there as a way of saying to the GP "Hey look what we're building!" and Stealth being 'possibly' the most popular ride in the park what better place to put it than right next to the entrance. As it's on a seperate island from the rest of the park theres no need for actual themed construction fences....
  15. Cheers for the picture Whiteknuckle.Cement lorry back? Ah well from what I saw yesterday there wasn't much left to pour. Fingers crossed that they push on with circuit construction after the weekend....
  16. It was taken from Storm Surge but Ive trimmed the picture so you can't see the lifthill
  17. Wanna bet? I've knocked together a few pictures from my trip today, I'll be honest the quality is shocking but then I only had my camera phone with me, was just quick shots too as I was with a non enthusiast and the weather was all over the place from one minute to another. In brief:-- New banner went up this afternoon above the fence next to Stealth- Concrete mixers seem to have left the site- Few workmen working on a footer just before the station, other workmen just working on the maintenance bay roof- An absolute ton of supports/ track has been layed out at the top of the site (more than what I've seen in the most recent pictures anyway)That's about all I can think of for now, construction was very very very slow today Again, sorry about the picture quality...
  18. Was just browsing through some pictures on 'Fotowhizz' and came across this http://fotowhizz.com/thorpe/lc12/Sep%2011/003.htm Look below "War Is Coming", it reads supplied by tanksforsale.co.uk.It's like one big theming shopping list on there Sorry to bring up something from 5 pages back but hopefully this concludes the whole matter now
  19. I've managed to grab a selection of screenshots from 'Red or Black' last night with some aerial shots of the new Islands, sorry about the picture quality (ITV )So for anyone interested..I can upload the rest upon request
  20. Fantastic stuff, much appreciated Just been going through some of the plans again and noticed there appears to be some sort of upturned caravan at the station entrance which I somehow haven't notcied before. I'm not sure if this has been mentioned somewhere but I've attached a picture.....
  21. I would hazard a guess as to it being one of the SUDS being dug out.
  22. Some sort of watch camera was on his wrist and the photo was taken quickly as Stealth reaches maximum height, so he says on the video description.....There also seems to be a multitude of videos appearing featuring numerous actors playing the "Les Coogan" role with security in tow, interacting with the GP. I have to say I'm continually impressed with how everythings going at the minute
  23. Moving back towards an "on topic" direction...Attached is a rather handy little screenshot I've saved from a Swarm update on youtube. I think this gives everyone a nice idea towards the state of play onsite, the shot was taken on the 4th.By the looks of things we should begin to see some vertical construction very soon B)Credit to "James Salter" for obtaining the shot.

To be honest, I've never really noticed any rough patches along the track. I'm usually more concerned with the cramped seating and restraint digging into my legs
  25. Oh yes this is cringe TV at it's best, the producers know exactly what reaction it will cause. My current top 3 most hated are:-Glee Strictly Come Dancing The Apprentice Oh and a special mention to The Only Way Is Essex, just awful
