  1. People need to chill out, it's delayed , we don't know when it's opening and won't until new info is released . We know by the statement made, that nothing is happening next week , so realistically we are looking at the 6th of June for any kind of speculation of an opening day . Anything sooner would be great, but at least knowing we have another couple weeks before we know any more means no reason for false hope.... So chill guys ...  #justsaying #bobyourboots #inthefreezer

The hanging carriage being a shell to disguise a ride system is the most logical thing I can think of at the moment.  How else are you actually going to get down from it into the rest of the building?

Works nicely with the idea of 'grand illusion' too - doesn't seem too out of the question to have this huge, Victorian train carriage seemingly disappear, despite the fact you're inside it, for example.

Yer while that makes sense I don't see if you are going to load one train carrying only 60 people , surly the throughput is going to be so slow?

and if there is two trains how are you going to load the two together , when there is only one unit in the building ?

, the ride is so clever and utterly mind boggling ! , it really is an illusion.

I just hope it is perfected and performed correctly on opening day .

So I hope they do a lot of tests before .

The visuals in the advert look cool but oh my god, the script is so cheesy and the feedback of the delay on his vocals is so strong I can barely hear what he says until the 'my ghost train' line which to be honest makes it sound purely idiotic.

I think it add atmosphere and captures the mood of the ride. And why he says my , is obviously because everyone who's who Derren is and would get quite intimidated by the idea of him consoling your mind ! Haha , that my thinking anyway

I was on park today and Studios North were still out with paint pots and resin guns - and working on the sign AGAIN :P So think 13th May is just a little bit out of the question. Maybe the end of May is pushing it...

The door was open in the building near the refreshments booth, saw some sort of electronics in there- as soon as the chap in there realised I was peering through the fence though he shut the door haha.

On a different note, non enthusiast friends who I was with thought it was a complete mickey take having the ride shop open when the advertised opening date of the ride itself has been delayed.

(Park today was dead today FYI and had an awesome day - guy on SAW singing as he loads was very enthusiastic to say the least haha)

Yer I have to agree with you here mate , 13th does look a little unlikely , if they also still have to sort out that area . Although it is meant to be abandoned which would make sense if they almost left it , with some rusted items around the place , could make for some good themeing ! , and with a some picnic tables could be used as an extension for outside seating for the bbq.  . It would be awesome for it to open this weekend coming , but we have to wait just that little bit longer.

I cant ant seem them building a new stucture at this late in the game or anything in that space, so think it may be used as additional seating , or a place for a stand or stall ? That's my thinking anyway haha

  5. I'm in two minds about this opening date. While yes it does seem a bit late for Friday 13th , it also fits the theme of superstition. Could they open the attraction with only a couple days warning, perhaps ? Or they could have a trailer on the 13th for anticipation of the ride opening last week of May ? , who knows ?!

On another note, I wonder if anyone can help me? , I bought a cog key ring for my car keys. I couldn't work out why the picture on the secand cog was a very weird shape and weather that was due to looking at it in a certain way with the 1st cog over the top of it. I can't really see why the picture cog has such an oddly shaped image on it ? , can anyone help ?

Rant and Random topics both have loads more.

I wonder when we'll start seeing TV adverts for this ride, is it usually just after opening or before?

I think they will start appearing just after the ride opens perhaps ? I swear iv already heard some radio coverage on the attraction already , kiss fm ect. But I don't know !

  7. That's very true about all these NDA's , basically we won't know a date until Thorpe officially announce it .

Not gunna lie, I feel like we have waited a lifetime for this ride , I'm just so praying its going to be the most mind bending, eye popping, scariest ride.

. I have no doubt it will be , and should almost challenge those out in the states , in terms of themeing and technology !

We we just need a date now ! Pppllleeaaasseee!

Firstly, in regards to uniform I spoke to a staff member who was going to be working on Ghost Train and he said he doesn't even know if they are having uniforms because they've been told nothing at all. I would expect the ride would have cost way more than £13 million, just because of the amount of companies working on it. In regards to why it was delayed the attraction didn't 'collide' with anything - the resort have stated it was for creative purposes only. However, after talking to one of the higher end staff, she revealed the attraction was testing last night (not that we didn't know it's been testing most nights) and that this will not be like a horror maze in terms of how scary it is. She explained how the 'scary' part will be the fact you don't know if something is there or not, as oposed to being made jump like in a horror maze. She also said the experience will be 'amazing'.

This is a brilliant collection of information ! , I would think they would have some sort of themed uniform, it could be a small touch , to the usual staff outfits , but I am sure somthing will be added .

In in regards to the non scare maze thing. I second that point that she said about the attraction not being a walk through , as on Darren's interview on talk radio a few days ago , he said it's a mix of a ride/walkthrough/show , elements of all of these put together. So while I'm sure there will not be a 'scare attraction' part as such, I am sure there maybe the odd actor dotted around that may or may not attempted to scare you .

Thats my my prediction anyway :)
