    I personally don't understand the fuss over dark rides, I was kinda bored at that water one at Blackpool (see I can't even remember it's awesome sounding name), small seems a bit pointless riding/floating round in pitch black not seeing where you're going.

    How did United get on the other day? I saw part of it in the bar at Brentford but I didn't see the whole thing, I believe they where against Spurs?

    You are correct they were against spurs and it was a 1-0 win thanks to a Walker own goal.

    My blue main-coon cat called Kashy it's a kitten and I also have a 2 year old cat called Polly and a 17 year old cat Bonnie who is on her last legs and probably needs to be put down [emoji26]

    Just a thought, remember the automaton trademark, if this is in fact for this ride, and this is a dark ride, and not a tunnel.

    Automaton is a perfect name for a ride vehicle.

    The Haunted Mansion has the Doom Buggy.

    Spider-Man has Scoop.

    Tranformers has EVAC.

    Maybe Thorpe will see you riding in Automatons.

    Food for thought, I do enjoy speculating.

    Ok so big news, apparently according to quite a few staff members and hints from one of the managing directors I've been told that a new bigger version of The Black Fly is being installed (presumably a Maelstrom/Flip Flop style Huss Frisbee) as well a new family ride near Tiny Tots kingdom. Supposedly these are for the next couple of seasons as well as the retracking of the in park railway with theming and a small waterfall. Not much to go on but definitely something to watch. I didn't believe this at all at first but now I've realised Black Fly has been down for a while now and it seems there are some missing parts this could be interesting.

    thanks, that one operating coaster... from the pictures looks interesting to say the least!!

    DON'T DO IT!. I made that unfortunate mistake last year ;( what it doesn't tell you is that the ride has loose lapbars,you whack your head off the seat no matter how much you try not to AND it goes round twice.

    To my knowledge, Mr. Monkey's is not leaving!

    The plans for the new dark ride don't interrupt MM at all, and (unless I've missed something) the park haven't said it's leaving. :)

    "Thorpe Park has begun work on a large development – a new attraction set to open in 2016.

    The development will see the closure of Studio 13, the Arena, Mr Monkey’s Banana Ride, Chief Ranger’s Carousel, Calypso BBQ, and the Nemesis Inferno shop. Whether the Ranger County attractions will reopen in other areas of the park is currently unknown, although Studio 13 will probably be located elsewhere in 2015."

     

    Got this from TPG a while back.Might be wrong though.

    I'm not sure how busy Thorpe and Towers have been, but Blackpool Pleasure Beach certainly seems to be getting a good amount of guests in these summer holidays!

     

    Bit late to reply but I queued at least another 20m on that almost crossing the road last halloween xD
