  1. Warehouse theming, white van? AMAZON THE RIDE! see what it is like to be a picker in one of Amazons smaller warehouses, then load the items onto the white van. A MIND NUMBING experience for you, free labour for us.
  2. Anyone had any construction photos recently?
  3. Please excuse the spelling and grammar, my tablet is not fully functional
  4. The attraction areai is a straight line. This is what makes me believe it is some form of immersive tunnel. It may well be a new version of it though. Tomb Blaster is an awful ride with guns so stiff you get a cramp that it must be on the chopping block. The show building is huge and could be utilised for an amazing dark ride. Hopefully WC16 is just to see how public response is to a major dark ride before putiting a lot of stock in going down that route for all their major parks. I still pray for an amazing motion based simulator style ride but I don't think Merlin would risk that much mojey on oceaneering ride tech the first time around. Regardless I will be there when it opens because this country is desperate forcworld class dark rides, I a, glad Thorpe have done this, rather than just put in a mediocre coaster with short track length.
  5. Still think it is an immersive tunnel variant . That building is too small for much else to be honest.
  6. Please don't make the connection and cite the konami code as a reason. It is nothing more than a pop culture reference and is not even close to being the first website having nothing to do with konami to use it. Having said that, a silent hill ride would be cool, and the IP is probably not very expensive, what with the movies being beyond awful and konami sacking Hideo, Thus killing Silent Hills. (P.T is awesome) As stated earlier though, Thorpe is looking to be an all round family resort again, so silent hill is totally and completely nonsensical in that respect.
  7. Actually focus groups can be very revealing even after a theme has been locked in. The reason companies do it, even after they hafe decided what is being made, built, released etc is because they want to see early reactions to guage what route the marketing for sed thing should go down. Essentially, hi guys, this is what we are doing, here are the key elements, how would you want to see this marketed to you as a potential customer. Have seen it done on countless occasions. Though the guy may be lying, it is wholly plausible.
  8. It looks like they are going down that path again. saying they are working to create the best thing ever, is a very bold statement indeed. I do find it strange how you can find no reference to a manufacturer producing something for thorpe anywhere. the being able to keep it secret is impressive, so I say, don't ruin it..
  9. not knocking mine trains, but can see why he knocked 13. It wasn't advertised as a mine train with a small track drop. It was advertised as a psycoaster, its the most scary thing ever, we have heart rste monitors on the station and you have to sign a waiver to ride it. Merlin do set themselves up for failure when they say and do things like this.
  10. The problem with hyping something up so much is that when it doesn't live up to the hype, it tyen becomes a letdown. using phrases like we are workihg to create the best thing ever is risky indeed.
  11. Brain food, puzzles and riddles I should think, so more of the same.
  12. Ahahahaha, they really are messing with us now. Trek is a paramount property. Who are trying to open a park on the swanscombe peninsula?
  13. Could still be an immersive tunnel
  14. This ride could very well be Dr Who. in the same breath it could very well not be. nobody can say 100% yet
  15. THIS IS LAUNDRY : THE RIDE. AN OLD LAUNDRY IN WHICH YOU RIDE IN INDUSTRIAL WASHING MACHINES!!! NOT CONTENT WITH 1 WASHING MACHINE ELEMENT, BABY WE GOT 20.
  16. The Konami Code (Japanese: コナミコマンド, Konami komandocommand") is a cheat code that appears in many Konami video games,[1] although the code also appears in some non-Konami games.[2] During the title screen before the game demo begins, the player could press the following sequence of buttons on the game controller to enable the cheat: ↑↑↓↓←→←→BA The code has also found a place in popular culture as a reference to the third generation of video game consoles.[3] The code is also present as an Easter egg on a number of websites These websites include Facebook, google and Marvel comics, it is more of a pop culture reference these days and does not mean at all that this ride is video game related.
  17. I am on a tablet, so can anyone else verify what this person who never posted anything here is telling the truth? or is he a bored photoshop artist trying to mess with us?
  18. I can link everyone of those things to Dr Who Cybermen want minds to ge implanted into Cyber Bodies, Weeping Angels need to be watched at all times or they kill, Lights can tie right into that being that the angels love it when the lights go out. The lights themselves are all of different era's. and a watch. The show is about a time lord in his time machine. I am not saying this is Dr Who for sure, but all these things can link into it very well indeed. It's defo a good starting place.
  19. TIME. still sticking to Dr Who here.
  20. Ahahahahaha don't stray from the path.
  21. If I don't come out with swedish meatballs I will be disappointed so far these clues don't really say much. Eye and lights, to me I am leaning on the weeping angels from doctor who. Don't stop staring at them, if the lights go out you are dead and all of that jibe. EDIT : Also they are lights from 3 different time periods. Dr who = time travel
  22. It says guests will not enter the pit, meaning you will not go below ground level, but could be the mechanics to house 2 elevators for moving between levels.
  23. Haven't been to Thorpe in aaages, getting a sitter and going fright nights so I can see the size of t his thing in person. I have a feeling photo's don't do it any justice.
  24. I still think the clue to the theme is hiding in plain sight.
