Yes, the flood effects are great...really adds to the queue

Didn't think about that....they were just showing what would be done anyway.

My last ride on stealth loads of the GP were concerned about the smoke

I think Merlin definitely care...look at towers, the TLC thing worked really well. I think Thorpe should do the same

The way of life needs to change in Merlin... In order to refurb a ride you have to bring a marketing piece with it? That's such an idiotic way of running a park and it shows for both staff and guests on the ground, and it's why we have a £30m VR elephant in the middle of the park that already needs expansion because it didn't reach expected KPI targets...
Exactly,Merlin are trying to expand a ride that was awful in the first place because it didn't make enough money.maybe if it opened on time or opened at all they would get more money. They should be fixing technical glitches and polishing the experience not trying to do another major revamp to try to pull in more money.

The shower......I got to experience it once and now on every ride I'm excited, hoping for the best and every time it's still broken. This needs to be fixed it makes the ride so much better.

40 mins to an hour normally...3 hours in M25 traffic

Could we finally get a Rumba Rapids clean up??.....It's been starting to look dismal for a few years now.

They should go back to having fright nights on some non-half term weekdays if it's still consistently jam packed
I totally agree....I think this could help overcrowding because half term evenings are 90% teenagers.

Once those sites are occupied, Colossus will likely be reaching it's expiry. After that, it may be time for X to make it's way out.
I don't think we will be seeing Colossus go anytime soon....I would hate to see it go but in a few years it probably should but for Merlin it's all about money so they'll try to keep it as long as possible and probably do a refurb and market it as a new coaster.

You're right it's not gonna happen and I can't see anything happening to X in the near future. I would like to see a change but X is classic and it would be awful to see it go
-
I don't see where there going with this "terrifying new destination". The amount of advertising for DBGT was huge this year and there just gonna try to do it all over again with a small addition to the ride. I think they should try to fix all the technical bugs and 'polish' the experience before they try revamping the ride.

I like the idea of replacing X...they could keep the theme and make something like ice mountain ( I think that's what it's called) at winter wonderland but Maurer sohne and permanent. X is popular but an intense spinner would be much better.

First off, Ditto to what @Coaster Jamie said..
My reasons I prefer X to Colossus is that I simply enjoy riding X more than Colossus.
Colossus is so uncomfortable I don't enjoy most of it at all, I do agree the layout is brilliant, but its so rough IMO I can't find fun in it.
I do understand what you mean, Colossus is really uncomfortable and looks dismal but I find X to be alright but slightly underwhelming. It gets really big queues for what it is and I find Colossus can be smooth (on certain days on certain rows) and X seems to disappoint on some occasions IMO.

Why are people adding X ?? Colossus is rough but fits in so well and has a great layout..how can a kiddie coaster with lights ever beat it.

Rollercoaster Restaurant is by far the best the,e park food in the uk, I don't get why people moan about the food I've always enjoyed Marlin food.(apart from burger kitchen)

Weather????? How would a dark ride ever have weather issues.
