  1. I believe KC is right Peter, the hotel would have taken 18 months to build according to planning application. The hotel ground works haven't even started, so I do not think that it will be for 2009, possibly not enough money or other problems.

Similar size to Chessingtons hotel, which groundwork started sometime around june 06, opened in july 07. Its not too late at all - they haven't mentioned when in 09 they want it opened :P
  2. Mark, as you know.. you know I also get fed up with the profit statement.I was going on the gate figure perspective, which I mentioned in both the above points. Reducing it would increase gate figures.. which would increase people in the park (amazingly), and therefore queuetimes. Noone wants that really. So by reducing their entrance price that much would be a shot in the foot.. even if profits were brought into it, I doubt the increased secondary spending would cover the lower entrance price :P

  3. Peter, you don't need to turn it into a negative. After years of the park prices going up and up and up, having a park with the price actually decreasing is good news for the park. If it stays at £24 I may actually praise Thorpe for bucking the trend.Good decision there Thorpey :P

I'm not being negative.. its simple economics. If thorpe has near to full gate figures all the time, it doesn't make any financial sense to reduce it - if they want higher gate figures, they should reduce other parks ones. Plus £6 reduction should in terms create quite a large surge in demand.. capacity hit :P.Although we all know now that the website, yet again, got stuff wrong :P
  4. Products should be made durable; they should automatically presume someone will drop it one day in its life. You'd want it to work afterwards. I wonder whether the Air will smash to pieces if I accidentally knock it off a table now. Seb is right, poor manufacturing.

  5. Only thing I can remember doing so far is..Apparently running into a table when I was like 3, getting knocked out.Taking an overdose when I was about 5, cos dad left tasty pills in a drawer which I could get to.. spending a night in hospital with stomach pumped etc.thats it!

  6. Depends what you're like.. if you're more a textbook person, or find stuff interesting.. the acedemic subjects are better, or if you're more hands on/non-acedemic choose sommet like media studies. If you want to go to uni, dont do sommet like media studies. Biggest waste of time ever, I'm currently hating it - worst subject I've ever taken. But thats because I prefer acedemic/lessons which you actually do stuff, I find doing nothing (media) extremely boring.
